I need to set tikiwiki up so that pages a user creates can only be edited by that user - sort of like how userpages work, but with more than a single page.
Kerin, there is a wiki admin option "Page creators are admin of their pages." But I don't know if this bans other people from editing their pages.
You could check the docs at doc.tikiwiki.org, or do some testing with a couple of test users.

Don't be too hard on yourself. There's a ton of options and it's easy to miss one.

chibaguy:  thanks for the help.  seems like the wiki_creator_admin option doesn't restrict anyone from editing the page, but it does allow the creator to lock the page and that's nearly as useful.

I just noticed my tiki-pagehistory.php doesn't have the "compare" columns or selector for type of comparison. The files are current. Is there an admin setting for page comparing?

The page I'm looking at is at version 18, but there's a column on the left with delete checkboxes, and action links on the right, but no "compare" gadgets.
Column headings are [Delete (button)]    Date    User     Edit Comment    Version    Action
And the legend at top includes "c = compare", with "c" links in each version's action cell, which is like the old way this was done, iirc.

ah, it's because of my "Default diff style" setting maybe (in wiki admin).

Yesterday I tried to use wiki staging in rc1. I did not manage to aprove a page - no button - even admin. Are there any known problems with this?
I haven't tested/tried staging much myself.
I'm not aware of it not working, tho.

I think quite a few sites would like to be able to do what you are describing there.
There's been discussion on improving the permissions system, so the devs are aware of the need.
But at this point I'm not sure what the best solution is, for a case like yours.
So if I do not want to give them global permissions I have to assing individual permissions for each group to the objects?

MyTiki is missing its navbar when ajax is turned on. Is this ok in the Tiki 3 release (not a blocker), since ajax is experimental?

I believe the Ajax option will/should go soon anyway. All can be done much better with jQuery.

I'm using a very fresh copy of the 3.0 branch and found that it does not honor permissions on calendars. Is this a known problem?

How is the wysywyg editor in 3.0, I found in 2.0 to have too many issues to be useable
