tikiwiki: 03marclaporte * r18503 10/branches/3.0/lib/setup/prefs.php: [MOD] PluginTR now off on barebones install I need to set tikiwiki up so that pages a user creates can only be edited by that user - sort of like how userpages work, but with more than a single page. Kerin, there is a wiki admin option "Page creators are admin of their pages." But I don't know if this bans other people from editing their pages. You could check the docs at doc.tikiwiki.org, or do some testing with a couple of test users. chibaguy: that's probably exactly what I want! let me see if i can locate it. i did a pretty thorough read-through my options to avoid looking like an idiot, good to know I screwed that one up. ;] Don't be too hard on yourself. There's a ton of options and it's easy to miss one. chibaguy: I have to! that's the best defense against getting flamed. OSS IRC channels are kind of a minefield. but, thanks. :p Kerin, this channel is friendly. tikiwiki: 03marclaporte * r18504 10/branches/3.0/templates/tiki-edit_help.tpl: [FIX] typo chibaguy: : wanna fight? ok, marclaporte, lucky you're an ocean and continent away from me. ;-) hehe (I won't mention who is the lucky one. ;-) ) :-) :-) tikiwiki: 03marclaporte * r18505 10/branches/3.0/templates/modules/mod-users_rank.tpl: [FIX] WYSIWYCA chibaguy: thanks for the help. seems like the wiki_creator_admin option doesn't restrict anyone from editing the page, but it does allow the creator to lock the page and that's nearly as useful. ok tikiwiki: 03chibaguy * r18506 10/trunk/css/calendar.css: [ENH] Calendar selectors moved from transition stylesheet. Hi there New Forum Posts: File property in article section - http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=32890 tikiwiki: 03pkdille * r18507 10/branches/3.0/templates/tiki-lastchanges.tpl: [FIX] tiki-lastchanges: reorganize filter button text because they are impossible to translate well in fragments polom Hello hi I have an administratioin question - on categories, permissions and groups - that I did not find an answer for at doc.tikiwiki.org. Can anybody tell me where I should post this question? awolff: try here Just found tikiwiki.org and am posting a message in the forum - I can copy it to here as well, give 2-3 mins Quoting channel message: "Just ask, don't ask to ask". better ask in short sentences here ;) tikiwiki: 03luciash * r18508 10/branches/3.0/img/webmail/ (7 files): tikiwiki: [FIX] webmail: getting rid of the (most probably) proprietary licensed Windows tikiwiki: XP icons (finally) - replacing them with closest matches of the Jini iconset tikiwiki: (except help.gif, that one is a copy from the Silk 16x16 icons) which is used in tikiwiki: Admin sections (placed the PNGs on white bg box and made it slightly "rounded" tikiwiki: for now) - hopefully in some next Tiki major version we can have full iconset tikiwiki: themes support... I just noticed my tiki-pagehistory.php doesn't have the "compare" columns or selector for type of comparison. The files are current. Is there an admin setting for page comparing? (in branch 3 site) chibaguy: i'll quick-check btw, http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-pagehistory.php?page=Home, has a "History" button at the bottom with the url I'm already at, which seems unnecessary. chibaguy: they appear for me after first edit chibaguy: hmm, not a big deal to me, it's useful to "reset" the history view um, ok. The page I'm looking at is at version 18, but there's a column on the left with delete checkboxes, and action links on the right, but no "compare" gadgets. Column headings are [Delete (button)] Date User Edit Comment Version Action And the legend at top includes "c = compare", with "c" links in each version's action cell, which is like the old way this was done, iirc. http://zukakakina.com/tw3/tiki-pagehistory.php?page=Sample_page ah, it's because of my "Default diff style" setting maybe (in wiki admin). yeah, that was it. I just changed it to side-by-side diff and it's how it was before; don't know how it got changed from that. Sorry for sending you checking. Yesterday I tried to use wiki staging in rc1. I did not manage to aprove a page - no button - even admin. Are there any known problems with this? I haven't tested/tried staging much myself. I'm not aware of it not working, tho. New Forum Posts: Managing permissions with categories for large amount of groups - http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=32891 Thats my post on categories and permission. I think quite a few sites would like to be able to do what you are describing there. There's been discussion on improving the permissions system, so the devs are aware of the need. But at this point I'm not sure what the best solution is, for a case like yours. So if I do not want to give them global permissions I have to assing individual permissions for each group to the objects? I guess so. Thanks! sure MyTiki is missing its navbar when ajax is turned on. Is this ok in the Tiki 3 release (not a blocker), since ajax is experimental? the navbar is ugly anyways ;) I believe the Ajax option will/should go soon anyway. All can be done much better with jQuery. ok. jquery and ajax are completly different thibgs things have a look at http://docs.jquery.com/Ajax it works very well, is extremely convenient and opens up a lot of opportunities to use jQuery plugins without confilcts yes jquery has an implementation on ajax I thought jquery was one Ajax framework. no its a javascript framework (or one javascript framework that includes Ajax functions. yes yes chibaguy ok but for now I think we are using mainly xajax and not the jquery ajax tikiwiki: 03chibaguy * r18509 10/branches/3.0/styles/layout/layout.css: [ENH] Transitions styles checked for currency and copied to layout.css (only Tikinewt theme imports layout.css for now - other bundled themes not affected.) tikiwiki: 03changi67 * r18510 10/branches/3.0/ (2 files in 2 dirs): French translation tikiwiki: 03rischconsulting * r18511 10/trunk/templates/mail/moderate_validation_mail.tpl: tikiwiki: [ENH] First attempt to allow admin to add users to a group from activation tikiwiki: email. I still have 2 at least... well, both but because of a personal situation, we had to reorganize things and this changed the agenda for more than one person so this we there are a bunch of devs to fix the remaining blockers... In that magical world, all bugs would be fixed for tomorrow And Friday, we focus on making the 4 profiles and fix the bugs only for those profiles and release Saturday then, Sunday and Monday, we prepare for our 2 conferences during the week installer is amzing now release script too so we made good progress nothing to be ashamed about exactly don't be frustrated from any release date plan fail The up side is thinking about how many things have been fixed and improved in the last several days, makes a much better release imo. hmm, Check for Updates says: "Current version is up to date : 3.0beta4" tikiwiki: 03sylvieg * r18516 10/branches/3.0/ (lib/calendar/calendarlib.php modules/mod-calendar_new.php): [FIX]calendar: notice that was displaying sometimes the list of events in mod-calendar_new, sometimes only the first event tikiwiki: 03sylvieg * r18517 10/branches/3.0/ (lib/calendar/calendarlib.php templates/tiki-calendar_box.tpl): [FIX]calendar: make no sense to display 'all day' or a timing if in the case group by item in the popups tikiwiki: 03sylvieg * r18518 10/branches/3.0/lib/calendar/calendarlib.php: [FIX]calendar: all day in popup tikiwiki: 03sylvieg * r18519 10/branches/3.0/ (3 files in 3 dirs): [FIX]calendar: rollback 18517: there was already a group_by_item var !help You can get a more complete list of commands that work with this bot at http://tikiwiki.org/TikiBot .
