yeah, vim does almost anything... I think there is a debugger-plugin for it...

no, I tried back then with Eclipse but somehow didn't get it running reliably... so I stopped that experiment and went back to using print in code ;)

hmm. hang on - might this documentation be right for the current version of tiki? am installing 3.0, perhaps that is different? 
it always depends on how your web-server is set up
tiki-version is irrelevant in this case
the web server needs to be able to run the scripts (PHP) and create files (image upload, etc.), so the correct usage of setup.sh is dependent on which user/group your web-server runs as and what user/group you have tiki installed...
... hard to give a general this-is-the-right-thing-to-do guideline!
but setup.sh seems to not take user & group as parameters, it takes "fix" or "open"

and these instructions are for MacOS, so isn't generic

... and "fix" is the normal thing to have your server secure - PHP/templates/etc. can't be written by the webserver!

... but for mods you need to temporarily allow that -> "open"
it'll be ok, I think... it's more about how does the "usual" OS X install handle groups, etc.. :)

and... well, I can no longer use the page or edit any page..
I keep having "Babelfish (debug): Fatale error" at the bottom of the page.

I think maybe you need to turn off short urls or else rename "_htaccess" to ".htaccess" in your tikiwiki root directory

well, not .php, but wiki.esforces.com/Goku 
but you need to do the htaccess rename as I described.
and if your server supports it, you can use the short urls.
when you're logged in as admin, you don't get an edit button on any wiki page?
by the way, the TestTestTestTest on Goku is a link because it's a "WikiWord" (has an internal uppercase letter), wiki link style.
you can turn that off, too, if you want, and use ((Test)) for links.
if you don't want every "iPod" etc to be shown as a link.

it stores the list of plugins on the page, when on editing pages, it stores the list of all plugins

I think the mailing uses sendmail I think, but
tw uses the mailer that is set on your system - see the doc on php.net about the mail function
