ok found something...
Yoni_, I mean I use ftp to update, from a local svn export, so files get updated, but old ones not deleted, but that shouldn't matter.
It should in fact display the module name (in this case "Login"). But there is something wrong with "{if !isset($tpl_module_title)}" in mod-login_box.tpl, line 17.
(I mean files that are removed from svn aren't automatically removed from my test site.)
i understand but they were no previous files :)
something is not working here : {if !isset($tpl_module_title)}
he :) {* $Id: mod-login_box.tpl 18608 2009-05-10 14:48:34Z chibaguy $ *}
{if $do_not_show_login_box ne 'y'}
{if !isset($tpl_module_title)} shouldn't be used for module we can change the name ? in the case of the login box i doubt this is possible

Hi
I wonder if it would be a good idea to revamp the logo module so that it was a mini version of the site-header logo display....
...ie., would reflect the input on Look & Feel re logo and site title, etc.
!help
You can get a more complete list of commands that work with this bot at http://tikiwiki.org/TikiBot .
I'm updating TIkipedia for Tiki3 and this time the site logo will be done with a custom module instead of in the tpls, but was thinking it might be good to have this as an updated standard logo module instead of custom module.
maybe for tiki 3.1 or later.
hi mib_11nke7
we are having an issue with our calendar module... we are unable to add a new item to it. It seems to be a problem with mysql. Please, anybody knows how to fix that? This is error returned: http://pastebin.com/m58e2a382
Any tip where to post or report this problem?
you could try here again later (or wait for someone else to notice the question)...
..or if no results here, try posting on the tikiwiki mailing lists (devel and/or user).
sorry I can't help you myself on that
thank you very much for your help chibaguy!
greeting from Spain! :)
you're welcome :-)
I will try the mailing list, thanks!
ok
mib_11nke7: are mysql?
did you upgrade your tw recently - because the query is correct
hi sylvieg, sorry, I was away.
yes, I'm using mysql witn tw 3.0
is it an upgrade?
or a fersj install in 3.0

fresh install
it only happens in the calendar, not in the tasks or other parts. It's really weird!
do you have a phpmyadmin?
yes
we are using easyphp
so copy paste your query to see if you can have a more appropriate message
have you seen this? http://pastebin.com/m58e2a382
yes but this is a error from tikiwiki - and the Message is empty
I would like to see the error from phpmyadmin - perhaps it will give an real error message
if I insert the query directly in the db, it works

hi ricks99, what do you think about revamping the old "logo" module (currently just has a hard path to Kon-Tiki image) by giving it the code from siteheader to display logo and text title?
(this would be in trunk)
like for a theme where the logo is left-column top like Tikipedia/Wikipedia (or similar layout).
unless the logo file is < 180px, it will look very bad :(
That's right. It'd be for such logos.
i think the logo module can/should b deprecated
in fact, with the introdution of the the HTML plugin, i think a *lot* of plugins could/should b deprecreated
well, that's why I propose to make it more useful. You can get exactly the wikipedia/mediawiki layout that way.
the idea came to me as I was making a custom module to hold the logo, then thought, hey, we have a (mostly ignored) logo module already. why not make it useful?
(for the Tikipedia/tiki3 theme)
lookng @ the the mod-logo.tpl... appears all it is a an
right?
exactly what is its usefulness?
** rick thinks creating a custom module from scratch would b easier than editing the exiting mod-logo.tpl
especially for newbies
that's why I'm talking about adapting the tiki-site_header.tpl logo and site title code to mod-logo.tpl
then whatever goes into L&F prefs is reflected in the logo module
ah... no i see
(said the blind man)
y, imho the mod-logo.tpl should simply resue the site logo (as defined in admin: l&f
agree 100%
(sorry, only had 2 cups of coffee so far)
that's right. so if you have a theme like tikipedia, then just choose an image that'll fit, etc, and activate the module.
well, late in my day here and plenty of coffee past the brain already. :-)
ooooo.. u can automatically have modules enable/disabled, based on theme selection? >way< cool!
yep, just found out yesterday. theme=tikipedia.css will work
+ turn off module title and decorations and voila, it appears against your page background
u mean adding the param to the module? i meant. simply b selecting anew theme in l&f page.
would b neat if each theme had its own *.ini or *.cfg file that defined specific things
well, if the theme is seleted, then the module knows to appear
or tiki knows to display the module
right, but that relies on the user already having configured the module to display and adding the correct param, right?
yep
i was thinking of something more automatic
maybe for 4.x :)
yeah, that'd be nice
hi all - has dev.tw.o fallen over?
no, I got it (was a little slow)
very slow for me - like over a minute on http://dev.tikiwiki.org/Release30process

is anyone else getting weirdness in 3.0 with plugins parsing? i'm getting nested plugins being parsed inside the plugin edit gui - like an {img} inside VERSION being parsed to html in the editor. Also lots of stuff like §2162d16101c62f6795a932615a435a30§ lying around... any clues?
in plugin you must return teh result with ~np~ ~/np~ if you do not want result parsed
le A$... is the np blocking I think
hi sylvieg - but i want the img parsed for the page, just not for the plugin edit gui
hmmm - i don't have any ~np~s in my page
i'm sure this was ok a few days ago when i was fixing the VERSION plugin
the §2ae5e stuff seems to be spilling out of a CODE plugin (thought that was fixed - seems to be some regression here)
tikiwiki: 03sylvieg * r18719 10/trunk/lib/smarty_tiki/function.query.php: notice

luciash, for the logo of the http://dev.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php, if I remove the padding-top: 8px, on div#sitelogo in strasa.css, will it have any other side effects? because from my screen it looks like, removing that padding, will fix the logo being too low on the border.
tikiwiki: 03jonnybradley * r18720 10/branches/3.0/lib/tikilib.php: [FIX] Plugin-edit GUI with nested plugins (e.g. {img} inside VERSIONS()) should not show parsed html output of inner plugins in edit form body.
thunder_dex, that's probably the solution. The problem with specifying logo padding in the stylesheet is we have no idea what size the logo is going to be at people's sites...
The one at dev.tw.o is probably a lot larger than most people's, so removing the padding in strasa.css will probably not be good for sites in general.
oh
but would work for this case in dev.tiki
right.
I was thinking maybe the site should have its own css file for the theme....
:)
I mean modify the strasa/options/cold.css file
just at that site and at doc.tw.o
actually the logo at the two sites is probably too large, so that'd be another solution.
but not up to me
i see
jonnyb: intriguing fix of nested, so you save the data?
MatWho is in charge of the logos, I understand.
nkoth3: just stuck it in a local var while the inner plugs are parsed - seemed safest way...
so it gets only the last one?
you only want the data for the plugin you're editing, not the nested ones (no?)
Have to go for 10/15 mins - backsoon...
right
jonnyb: it's just that I've been told that it was not possible, but I did not see your fix :) we
will do some testing and see
(it's the safest possible way I think)

new prefs
ok
maybe I should change those pref names, everyon eis going to ask the same question. But it only happens with svn up users I suppose
well as long as it's not buggy behavior
jsut that wikiplugininline_pluginname looks too much like wikiplugin_pluginname
and that when you svn up, you typically don't clear your preferences cache
so any new prefs are set not by default, and are set only the first time when you set on the admin page
One should always clear cache after svn up though, in case there are new prefs.
ok. bbl

jonnyb: do you have wikitext somewhere as an example of what your fix solves?
bad - if i was noob i'd be looking for another cms - installer fails twice for no apparent reason - no good error or anything :( i'd guess profiles.tw.o being slow is the problem?

a) it will be easy to upgrade
b) UI is nicer than 2.4
marclaporte: is that why we're 187% of the way there? :))

yes jonny

i have a proper question though (for all) - the intranet profile in install was failing for me cos it's trying to us the $users' $prefs['display_timezone'] which isn't set yet (only 2 prefs) - so should i set the pref (to UTC?) or stop empty timezones being used?
jonnyb: : when I install, for some strange reason, it defaults to Portland
Maybe Tiki tried to detect?
Portland is the time of the server for ourwiki.net
mib_zucjkn: : why TikiWiki instead of MediaWiki?
mine seems to come up empty - i think this caused some problems elsewhere for me on user prefs page a while ago, so i think i'll make it ignore empty TZ to hopefully catch more cases
if my understanding is correct TikiWiki allows much great control over access
my goal is to have TikiWiki take over a number of unrelated projects
TikiWiki is not where I need it to be, but I believe it will be one day. Or possibly I will learn enough to make it look like I want it by myself
My site has four smf installs, three wordpress installs, and a dokuwiki install, as well as a bunch of legacy stuff
mib_zucjkn: that must be tricky to manage
jonnyb: : yes, Pacal St-Jean did a great job!
I'm am being wooed by the idea of organizing my whole site and embracing wikis, dokuwiki was my first experience making wikis and it sold me on how useful wikis can be for organization so I knew I want to try out another wiki, particularly for my writing projects
yes it is :)
I try to do the National Novel Writing Month competition every year, for the last two years I've done it on my main smf board, this up coming November I'd like to try it in a wiki

with no js, it appears (was - I did not svn up) below
so if no javascript, the help should be below instead of float, and should contain all the details (because you can't use plugin edit to help)
yes, perfect
like it was in 2.0...
now, float help is optional (default on), if people don't like float
I like float, but I understand that it's not always the best

tikiwiki: [MOD] In wiki help, with a goal to reduce scrolling, change from table to line
tikiwiki: break. This permits to take advantage of screen real estate space that is
tikiwiki: otherwise empty. This space is especially wasted for syntax like comments and
tikiwiki: external links. This typically shaves off 2-3 lines in my tests.

how do i change the font when using php menus?
you will need to edit the css
i think mdkitem is the class
not sure 100%
who is wggley?
we would know, if we had collective ceremonies, wouldn't we?!?
amette is more than welcome to organize
do you remember each sf name /irc name and email?
gotta go, see you tomorrow...
maybe ceremonies would be more frequent if documented
but maybe it's a secret :-)

someone really didn't incarnate him to the community while giving commit access....
... otherwise he would be hanging out here while committing!!
a lot of people can not use irc... I do not know why
amette is on IRC even when he sleeps
amette is the man
I think it is a company policy... I do not know to much
I am not so upset about this ... after 10 commits we know the person .. it is olny the first ones..
Respect the environment means something like "TikiWiki is not only code, it is a community"
people committing on SVN might preserve the code, but they respect the environment when they are here on IRC to receive praise for their commits
whoever is reading: sounds weird to you? - read the elaborate version of the three rules again, please!
and would like to do some more :)
*g*
marclaporte: btw - do you know I have profile - it is a bug in apache .. with some network configuration - it does not reload its able when the dns configutation is changed - I just after to restart apache after each reboot and I have profiles :-)
so Iwill be able to work on profiles now
yay!
sylvieg: : so no tiki bug?
for the profiles? no - but I know that since a long time...
Why can you surf a page on profiles.tikiwiki.org but use profiles without restarting Apache?
it is like the pbs I have with doc.tw and dev.tw - it is on my side probably....
because surf do not use apache
ah
luciash: if you have a bit of time, I am trying to make edit help nicer
I have some questions about CSS...
