newbiw questions, how do I change the drop down menu? newbie question, how do change the drop down menu? newmember, Under Admin there is a Menus option. This isn't a plugin issue, I think. (under more "More functionality" tab) question... can i have more than one features link block or subcategorize them? I don't think so. It's a pretty simple feature. darn I wonder if the menupage module could be used for a more complex featured links module. Then you'd make the links in a wiki page, and display them in a module. But there wouldn't be a choice about displaying in a new window, etc., I guess. yeah displaying in a new window is mandatory for me unless you use html in the page. which would be possible. isn't there a new html plugin? so even if html is turned off, you could have an exception for this page. you wouldn't get the hit counts that I think featured links has... but (long way to do it) you could add your links to the directory first, and then use the directory's urls in your featured links page. the directory keeps track of hits. if you need that you're talking gibberish to me now :) Heh, sorry. Tiki has a links directory feature. You can add links there, and visits to those links are counted. oh okay So let's say you want a featured link to be ubuntu.org. You add ubuntu.org to your directory, and it gets a url like tiki-directory_redirect.php?siteId=1 i guess i'll just leave them in one block for now then use that url as your featured llink on the wiki page for the menupage module. people are automatically redirected to the real link, but the hit gets counted in the directory. I mean it's more steps than just adding a link, but useful if you want to have the hits counted. I think the regular featured links feature does that already. But if you use menupage for a more complex featured hits layout, then maybe hit-counting would be missing. i don't care too much about hit counting yeah i guess it would be pretty easy to make a menu out of it... maybe i'll do that later http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Module+menupage http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=PluginHTML tikiwiki: 03chibaguy * r19050 10/mods/trunk/themes/ (9 files in 9 dirs): [FIX] Removed old xml version info from tiki.tpl files. polom polom konitchiwa, chibaguy polom luciash Good day everyone Can someone help met with a migration problem of the database to 3.0? Hi Tbakker, not sure I can help, but what's the problem? when upgrading i get about 51 query errors when updating and it does not make sense to me what tiki version are you upgrading from? 2.3 to 3.0 are the errors preventing your tiki from working? yeah.. all of them i guess :P I mean what happens? The install fails? it says upgrade complete with: Failed Operations failed: 51 SQL queries. Display details. and then when i try to log in i get: run installer again and nothing works hello! i can post the sql error if you like it's normal to get some errors because the installer is trying to add things that are already there, but apparently there are others that are causing your problem. ok I'm getting started with TW 3.0. Site cannot find any mods on http://mods.tikiwiki.org or http://edu.tikiwiki.org/mods is this a typical problem??? Guest95027 aka timmy: it seems to be a problem for the last few days. i am aminly interested in getting Aulawiki. 1.7 i hope. oh .. is it being fixed?? People are aware of it, I think, but I haven't heard anything specific about a fix. http://www.shortText.com/dhfnpzefls this is the log btw But these sites are supposed to be up, so I'm sure they'll be back before long. is it difficult to manual install Aulawiki?? I don't know; I haven't tried. ok.. i'll wait a day or two...thaks I appreciate your tips. you can go to http://tikiwiki.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/tikiwiki/branches/experimental/workspaces/ ... and get it if you like. there's a tarball link at the bottom of the page, for everything. i'll take a look chibaguy: can get any wiser of the log? I think this is the most up-to-date files, but am not entirely sure. is workspaces part of 3.0?? no, workspaces aka aulawiki is in an experimental branch. I exists or existed in mods, but I think was made an experimental branch to be worked on more actively. alright..thx it seems like a pretty damn useful thing for instructors.. wish there was a profile for courses and such yeah, I think it's great, potentially, but needs some work to get integrated into tiki better. Tbakker: the 'duplicate entry' errors are nonfatal, but I'm not sure what else could be wrong. Maybe you could post on the user or dev mailing lists. or try again later in the week. (here) have good one hmm will post it as a bug of some sort then ok, but on the mailing lists might bring a quicker response. technically it probably isn't a bug since most such installs go smoothly. hmm ok will use the mailing list then, thanks man ok, hope it works out. time to sleep here, will be back later. me to, my company runs partly on tikiwiki and the internal wysiwyg (()) error was herpes so really need to migrate laters chiba Any news as to why the Tiki mods site is down? !help You can get a more complete list of commands that work with this bot at http://tikiwiki.org/TikiBot . help Welcome to the official Tikiwiki English Irc Channel. I was wondering, does anybody knows the current state of development for PostgreSQL support? I just downloaded and tried to install TikiWiki 3.0 with pgsql, but the .sql file looks like is not correctly converted from mysql to pgsql.
