Unfortunetely - windows ah, apache or iis? apache 2.2 mysql 5 php 5 Did you have some conversation here already about this? Seems like I remember... I asked yesterday and also created a forum branch - http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=6&comments_parentId=33201#threadId6 I use xampp server for testing, and it works ok, but my tiki installations are in subdirectories of htdocs. Beestje said there were bugs if running in www root. I use DENWER wich is locacalized alternative. And yes.. i run in from www/tiki so tiki is in a subdirectory of www? yep I do not have enough expirience to use from different location.. is your server on internet, or just local/intranet,etc.? I test it on my local PC so you use a url like http://localhost/? ye hmm, but only a blank page? tikiwiki: 03changi67 * r19113 10/trunk/ (308 files): [FIX] Zend Recommendation [tiki-*] yes does this file get served: http://localhost/tiki/favicon.png ? It does are there files in tiki's templates_c directory? Also if I modify tiki-index.php adding 'echo' at any line - i see the result on the screen. I don't know what causes the different behavior, since my server has no problem, and assuming the Tiki files are the same in both cases. unless the server configuration is different, or something set in Windows itself. (but I don't know much about servers or Windows ,so everything in my setup is default, as far as I know.) I've posted php.ini and httpd.conf on forum http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?topics_offset=1&forumId=6&comments_parentId=33201 My problem is that I am looking for free alternative to Atlassian Confluence and TikiWiki looks like the best.. best how? It's a recogized problem that Tiki doesn't work consistently on Windows. Here's a link: http://dev.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Operating+System+independence hi marclaporte polom chibaguy heavenmaster, are you planning to run Tiki (as alternative to Atlassian Confluence) on your present server? Or are you just testing now, and will deploy on another public server? (just wondering if the live site will have the same problem) chibaguy: I do not see there any similiar case.. marclaporte: best as wiki + groupware I often get questions about tiki vs confluence, but I have no idea I think the blank-page problem must be caused by a server or OS configuration detail. Tiki runs fine on my WindowsXP xampp server, so it is possible. The question is what is making the difference. (assuming the installation is complete and the same in both cases) Ok, thnx for your help... I think I should find smth else.. Sorry for the trouble, heavenmaster. Maybe you can check back later on. Maybe some solutions will be found. (or there will be better docs for running on Windows) Ok. I'll continue watching the forum. Hi! Yeterday I upgraded my Porsche Tiki (1.911) ;-) to the 2.4 version Tried to update to 3.0 but released, that there is no PHP5. After copying back the whole 2.4 directory (the DB I upgraded right after install) all file galleries are lost. No, its not right - the galleries are there, but I do not see them. If I click at the 'Move' Button in the Galleries I can choose from all galleries I had in 1.911. Any ideas? reisedirkus, so you need a "downgrade" install script? ;-) Not really, I want only the file galleries back I did no DB upgrade for 3.0 - only from 1.9 to 2.4 oh, I see. The files are in the DB - from the links in the wiki I can download them, but I have no access to the File gallery functionality I also can not create any new gallery - so the error seems to be somewhere there. apparently a problem in the 1.911 -> 2.4 upgrade? Hmmm, maybe, but I had no error messages (or I ignored them ;-) ) - No I did not see any Did you install the 3.0 files, and then put back the 2.4 files? chibaguy: Should I try to go back to 1.9.11 (backup and DB-dump are here) and try the upgrade again.? Yes, I copied the 3.0 files, but the installer said that PHP5 is needed - I did not check it before, and my provider has only PHP4 (so far) I don't know. Seems like the fewer changes, the better. I wonder if it is possible that not all the 2.4 files are in place. So it seems to me, that 3.0 did not change anything... Of course I can try to copy them again from the SF-Download there... I would try that first. Maybe, I will start with this - copying the 2.4 again and then go back to 1.9.11 and start from the scratch. Assuming the database wasn't touched by the 3.0 installer (probably true), then the difference would be in the file system. Thanks so far! I'll be back! :-) ok New Forum Posts: Workspaces resources - http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=15&comments_parentId=33220 Hi everyone - can anyone think why I cant see the header i put in the CSS if I log out as admin. It is perfect when I am admin but as a registered or anonymous user it disappears, that and a thumbnail image. I have cleared the cache and my php memory is 64 mb are you using 3.0? and are all users set to the same theme? im using 2.3 i'm not sure about the theme - how do I check that? it's in the admin page for look & feel : tiki-admin.php?page=look I dont see where it says what theme other users see - i have altered the modern css with my header though - are other users just seeing the original modern theme? best way to find out is to copy the theme under a different name and change eg the background color of the main page or something. then as admin set the theme to your custom theme and then display the page as registered or anonymous. this way you can easily figure out whether the same theme is being displayed for all users ok thanks - i am an amateur (obviously) is there a tutorial for doing this? just copy and rename the css file and the folder belonging to the css file in the styles directory so copy styles/modern.css to styles/customblabla.css and copy/rename the directory as well afterwards go to the look & feel adminpage and you can select your customblabla theme ok! i will give it a shot! thanks:) np tikiwiki: 03changi67 * r19114 10/trunk/tiki-register_ajax.php: [FIX] Zend Recommendation polom! :) polom! luciash: how's your eclipse? i'm still fighting with mine :\ my ganymede is fine :) didn't try the PDT flavour yet, because it didn't download properly last time tikiwiki: 03changi67 * r19115 10/trunk/lib/wiki-plugins/ (95 files): [FIX] Zend Recommendation [wikiplugin] luciash: i'm getting out of memory problems in PDT debugging tiki - i think it's just *too* much for it! who is changi67, anyone know? i didn't see any discussion of this global removal of the closing php tag recently (not too bothered either way - i like conflict ;) ) jonnyb: ouch :) jonnyb: i have no idea now who it is tikiwiki: 03changi67 * r19116 10/trunk/lib/wiki/ (9 files): [FIX] Zend Recommendation [wiki] it does seem very bold - the last time we discussed this on devel it seemed a moot point, some pro (reduces errors) and some con (syntactically incorrect), so nothing happened changi67 = Jean-François B. in sourceforge pannel.. polom sylvieg - thanks, i was just a bit surprised, not meaning to complain :) I do not know him ... but jonnyb if you do not like this - better to tell now... Seems to work, comments ? just wanted to report this :-p we would comment if sept_7 comes here :) hi luciash hi chibaguy as we talked about before, it would be good if the cssmenu overflow in a module could be automatic (not require a parameter to be set). match '{menu' in the module data ? maybe so, or something even more specific. the div.box of a module with a css menu has a class like "box-css_menu43", so maybe that could be used. but the id can be different i don't remember on which div is the overflow set on the box page source looks like this:
I don't think the menu id should be in the box-cssmenu class, but rather in an id. hmm something like
