SEWilco2: In 2.2 a permission is vanishing. Maybe because it's included from two groups with the permission?
MartinCleaver: Maybe you uploaded it as a file attached to the page, not into a gallery?
MartinCleaver: well, from the outset I didn't expect there to be two places, so I actually uploaded into both separately

MartinCleaver: ok, I have a zip of all the pictures. How do best do I put them on as pictures on a given page?

file galleries can take a zip and unzip on server, if actvated and user has perms
SEWilco2: MartinCleaver: After they're in a file gallery you then have to edit the page to place each one.

CIA-65: tikiwiki: 03pkdille * r19635 10/trunk/styles/coelesce.css: [FIX] coelesce: the comment was correct, this line freezes IE6 .....
SEWilco2: MartinCleaver: I didn't know that a File Gallery mentioned "file" or "picture". I thought they were all files.
MartinCleaver: list for the gallery is oldest first. Counterintuitive. I want to see what I changed.
I wasn't there - I was in edit page, deciding whether to Upload File or Upload Picture.
SEWilco2: MartinCleaver: Edit the settings on the gallery to select sorting order.
MartinCleaver: can I change my default for all galleries to show newest first?
SEWilco2: MartinCleaver: I don't know what edit page offers those upload choices nor where they go. Picture might go to an Image Gallery, not a File Gallery.
CIA-65: tikiwiki: 03pkdille * r19636 10/trunk/styles/coelesce.css: [MOD] coelesce: remove some obviously unused instructions
SEWilco2: MartinCleaver: I don't remember. Look in menu Admin>Admin_home for File Gallery and Image Gallery icons and see the settings.

MartinCleaver: gah. I can't checkbox-delete a bunch of the files I uploaded (I uploaded but now noticed I had MacOS resource forks in the .zip)
Oh, I don't have admin access - this is doc.tikiwiki.org
great. now it wants me to not only manually pick to delete each of the 10 files I uploaded but then to manually confirm the that I want to delete them
-: MartinCleaver didn't want to upload _.DS_Store
MartinCleaver: Is there a reason the images are stored centrally in a gallery not on the page itself?
filenames will have to be more unique if stored centrally
CIA-65: tikiwiki: 03changi67 * r19637 10/trunk/ (5 files in 4 dirs): [FIX] Removing ?> according to Zend recommendation
MartinCleaver: now how do I pick and embed all 10 pictures onto the page? And how do I rename them?
-: MartinCleaver is on http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page_ref_id=3320&bl=n
MartinCleaver: grr
-: MartinCleaver dumps items into MS word
MartinCleaver: is there better documentation than this PluginWebservice page?
-: MartinCleaver wonders why dto says there is only himself as the registered online user at the moment
MartinCleaver: What is "Body label" on a plugin alias?

Tikiwiki|bot: New Forum Posts: Replacing an image in an article - workaround - http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=33583
MartinCleaver: after I upload a file into the Gallery (note after uploading it is now called file), how do I quickly insert it into the page content? I'm trying to click on the image to insert it, do I really have to paste the code "[tiki-download_file.php?fileId=119|Picture 62.png (96.31 Kb)]" ?

ricks99: Q: is it possible to create a survey template?
or reuse a closed survey as the basis for a new survey?
sylvieg: ricks99: use tracker and pretty tracker instead of survey ;-)
ricks99: hm.... will pretty tracker give me totals & averages?
sylvieg: depends .... trackerstat can help
I am doing a period_stat plugin
ricks99: ... seems complicated....
sylvieg: it was my 2 cents .. I do not go to far with 2cents ;-)
too
-: ricks99 reading the pretty tracker documentation
sylvieg doing all y surveys with trackers - but I know trackers
ricks99: will surveys (and polls, i guess?) be deprecated in 4.x?
sylvieg: I do not think so - the Strasbourg team is still committing on them
the idea ... survey and poll is for nonn experience admins. trackers is for the experienced ones
ricks99: will there be a method provided to port from survey/poll to tracker?
sylvieg: I do not think so - you are experienced or you are not - survey and pol are one shot stuff
ricks99: k. lots to think about. tx sylvieg.
