I'll check at themes.tikiwiki.org too.
stripmind: thanks, chiba, there was mention of Kubrick in a "you're going to have to work on this to make it work in 3.0" at
http://themes.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Theme+Issues+when+Updating+to+Tiki3.0

stripmind: i had some randomized quotes displaying in a module.
chibaguy: try removing that plugin from the plugins directory, or renaming it to a .txt file temporarily.
stripmind: okay
chibaguy: (I had the same problem with some other plugins when upgrading.)
stripmind: i also got the error at upgrade:

chibaguy: yep
"duplicate entry" errors can be ignored
stripmind: thanks, chibaguy, I'm up and running. the module i just removed the plugin for still displays... looks like i had some non-supported stuff in it tho. it's all funky lookin.
but it is still randomizing...
chibaguy: ok
Things like plugins are kind of tightened up in tiki 3, for better security management and avoiding bugs, etc.
stripmind: the upgrade did fix my original problem as well, so thanks, marclaporte, chealer, sylvieg
chibaguy: nice
on another topic, I wish DIV or TAG could handle more than one style. I want to have something like DIV(style="height:100px;overflow:auto)}
This could be done by making a new css class and then having {DIV(class=newdivclass)... but then the stylesheet(s) would have to be edited.
***: MartinCleaver has joined #tikiwiki
chibaguy: marclaporte: we need your "Look and Feel admin page custom CSS code" textarea. ;-)
marclaporte: hehe
chibaguy: and we need to be able to have plugins with (style="a;b;c")
seriously, this should be in tiki 4, if not sooner.
also maybe a way to append prefs.php per installation with a custom file the same way language files are (or whatever would be needed) to have custom wikiplugins easily, like before.
-: chibaguy thinks back to funky wikiplugin experiments that sometimes led to good results.
chibaguy thinks things like replacing markup in tpls with smarty stuff and adding plugin managment are great improvements, but otoh we don't want to make things impossible for site admins' do-it-yourselfing.

tobi_h: marclaporte: thanks for the link - but I have been there, read it, and still don't get how to (semantically) link two wikipages.
In the modules section, I have enabled the semantic_links module, which now shows up once I look at a wikipage - showing me no page relations, as there currently are none.
marclaporte: (alias(page))
tobi_h: ah.
that is also how I define new link types? (betterthan(foo))?
marclaporte: no
you need to define in admin panel
tobi_h: I went to ...localhost/tiki-admin.php?page=semantic - there I see known and new types - known gives me "alias" and show usage, delete and delete&unreference...
...whereas new types is empty, and has no buttons. hence my question.
Is this what I am supposed to see? Or did something in my upgrade to 3.0 go haywire, and what could I do to resolve this?
marclaporte: tobi_h: when it works, module should should you semantically linked pages
tobi_h: can you put screenshots somewhere of what you think is broken?
tobi_h: : you mean you have no way to create a new semantic?
***: rodrigo_sampaio has quit IRC (Read error: 110 (Connection timed out))
tobi_h: marclaporte: I seem to be able to link semantically, using your syntax of (alias(foo)) - it gives me a link, and shows up as semantic link on the left side, where I put the module.
marclaporte: that's good
tobi_h: marclaporte: Unfortunately, I don't see how I could create new semantic types, as there seem to be now buttons like "create" or "new"...
***: rodrigo_sampaio has joined #tikiwiki
tobi_h: ...but then again, http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Semantic+Admin&bl=y is not too clear on how the new types on the right hand side of the pic got there in the first place.
so maybe, this is my question: how do i get something like the "synonym" link in the picture on the above linked site?
sorry: "synonym" link _type_
marclaporte: just start using new semantic links
and they will appear
and then, you can edit type
tobi_h: which is what i meant, when, before, I asked if (betterthan(foo)) gives me new types, and you said "no". :)
marclaporte: my bad

marclaporte: http://doc.tikiwiki.org/Wiki-Syntax+Links#Semantic_Wiki

I would have expected that info http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Wiki-Syntax+Links&structure=Documentation#Linking_Within_a_Tiki_Site as, to me, it seems like an extension of the syntax introduced there. Mind if i put it there?
and it says: "The qualifier name will be added as a CSS class on the link to customize the display. " - I use the underground theme here, and it does not customize the display of the link - is that a bug, or do all themes not display anything special?

tobi_h: I don't think so. Why would you want that?

the versioning is not important, but the backlinks are nice.
marclaporte: do you have experience with other wiki engines?
tobi_h: marginal.
marclaporte: there is a backlinks feature, which puts backlinks on all pages
tobi_h: cool - where?
marclaporte: admin -> wiki > backlinks

tobi_h: as i get it, this turns on the drop-down-box of links...
marclaporte: y

sylvieg: argument in the url?
alain_desilets: I understand that this is calling a function called sefurl, passing it $listpages[changes].pageName as the first argument.
I need to pass it a second argument, and add that argument to the list of args of the function.
But there seem to be many functions that have sefurl in their name.
sylvieg: :-( messy
alain_desilets: Writing some traces, I have concluded that eventually, this ends up calling wikilib.php's sefurl.
Yes, VERY messy.
It also seems to go throughmodifier.sefurl.smarty_modifier_sefurl.
Now, I am looking for who calls the later.
***: chibaguy has quit IRC ("http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client")
alain_desilets: I have searched for smarty_modifier_sefurl in the code, but find nothing.
sylvieg: there is 2 smarty sefurl - a function and a modifior (the fucntion was introduce for the article title) tiki-sefurl.php is the engine - the wiki sefurl is called there for apge
lib/smarty_tiki/modifier.sefurl.php, lib/smarty_tiki/function.sefurl.php
alain_desilets: Yes, I god that.
But who calls lib/smarty_tiki/modifier.sefurl.php?
sylvieg: Ex: templates/tiki-show_page.tpl: <a href="{sefurl page=$structure_path[ix].pageName structure=$home_info.pageName page_ref_id=$structure_path[ix].page_ref_id}">
alain_desilets: OK, so presumably in my case it's tiki-listpages_contents.tpl that's calling it.
Let me try that and report back to you.
Thx btw.
sylvieg: soorty I paste the function
templates/tiki-view_blog.tpl: <a class="link" href="{$listpages[ix].postId|sefurl:blogpost}">{tr}Permalink{/tr}</a>
for the modifier
in fact the modifier should die as we need more params....

ex: if you put lang in the setting, you will have the link rewrite as my_tiki.com/en/page
