sylvieg: looks like r9024 broke user module controls, for example column switching, which fails with a DB error in trunk. there are still calls using the previous interface, for example tiki-module_controls.php line 37 ($_REQUEST["mc_move"] is a module name)

hi luciash, seems like module controls have been ignored for a while.

chibaguy: have used them, then installed fresh trunk on my localhost, then after some time i tried them again and they were not working anymore

yeah, also the side-column show/hide state isn't remembered after a page change, as it was before.

is it a problem of tikiwiki or is it just web standard that .bmp are not considered as images?

But remembering side-column show-hide state through page changes works.
er, it works in table-based themes (old tiki.tpl), not in lite.css-based, in 2.4 anyway.
(just playing with a 2.4 installation here.)
I need some help with an installation - installed 3-1 last night and I cannot create or edit existing wiki pages.
RJ_, is that when you are logged in as admin? or as regular user, or...?
Both, actually. I also tried in both Firefox and Explorer.

Correct. What happens is that everything looks just fine until I hit the save button - then I get the 404 error. I also cannot edit a wiki page - I am able to enter test in the field, bu when I try to hit save I get an error that says a contribution is mandatory.
I got so frustrated with it last night that I did a complete re-installation.
What is the server OS, etc.?
I used Fantastico to install it, and Siteground is my hosting provider.
Is it Linux, or Windows?
Windows, I think.
That could be the problem.
TikiWiki on Windows (esp. IIS) runs into configuration problems, etc.
I'm really new to all this - which I'm sure you guessed already. How do I find out if that is the problem, or how to change the OS?

You need to ask Siteground. I'm sure they offer Linux servers.
First ask if your site is on a Windows server and, if so, ask them to move it to a Linux server. That's my advice.
