How to unblock the installer? sorry ppl, I really cannot find the "edit on doubleclick" setting... nicolamr: delete the file named lock in the db directory. ok, thanx chibaguy nicolamr: doubleclick can user set at tiki-user_preferences.php ah, so there's no general setting is it a problem of tikiwiki or is it just web standard that .bmp are not considered as images? hello everyone, I'm having trouble with new user registration on my tikiwiki site. Can anyone here help with that? nicolamr: web standard nicolamr: from histrory, some browsers didn't display bmp, it's not web optimized format, but nowadays maybe all of them are capable to display them, it's just not standard thanks luciash if an image is uploaded as a gallery file, what src do I have to use to embed it in a wiki page ok, found it luciash, module controls don't work in Tiki 2.4 either. But remembering side-column show-hide state through page changes works. er, it works in table-based themes (old tiki.tpl), not in lite.css-based, in 2.4 anyway. (just playing with a 2.4 installation here.) I need some help with an installation - installed 3-1 last night and I cannot create or edit existing wiki pages. RJ_, is that when you are logged in as admin? or as regular user, or...? Both, actually. I also tried in both Firefox and Explorer. When you're logged in as admin, you can't create a wiki page? Correct. What happens is that everything looks just fine until I hit the save button - then I get the 404 error. I also cannot edit a wiki page - I am able to enter test in the field, bu when I try to hit save I get an error that says a contribution is mandatory. I got so frustrated with it last night that I did a complete re-installation. What is the server OS, etc.? I used Fantastico to install it, and Siteground is my hosting provider. Is it Linux, or Windows? Windows, I think. That could be the problem. TikiWiki on Windows (esp. IIS) runs into configuration problems, etc. I'm really new to all this - which I'm sure you guessed already. How do I find out if that is the problem, or how to change the OS? See http://dev.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Operating+System+independence You need to ask Siteground. I'm sure they offer Linux servers. First ask if your site is on a Windows server and, if so, ask them to move it to a Linux server. That's my advice. OK! Thanks for your help! Sure. OK, I checked with Siteground - turns out I am running on a Linux server. What else might be wrong? I need to log out for a while. I'll be back. tikiwiki: 03chibaguy * r21051 10/mods/trunk/ (2 files in 2 dirs): [NEW] Tikipedia (for Tiki 3) thumbnail added.
