That's a mistake, right? chibaguy: which page should it point to? tiki-mods.php It was just a path in the Admin>Maps, "/var/www/html/map" should be "/var/www/html/map/"....missing / at he end of it. chibaguy: it's not a mistake. there's a link from tiki-admin.php?page=features . it was removed from the app menu in r16658 does anyone have a great idea for names for logged_users and online_users? online_users is about logged users. the current names would be Online users for both. would "Who's online" be OK for online_users? online_users has a list of online users, logged_users shows their number ...I'm talking about modules chealer, ah, ok, thanks. "Who's online" should be for the one that displays users' names. "Online users" shows the number. ...I'd say. chibaguy: yeah, "Who's online" isn't used currently, that's the simple solution I'm proposing clearly if it's those 2 names, it shouldn't be the other way around chibaguy: currently both modules have title "Online users" "Who's online" sounds a bit informal. is "Online users list" strange? The title with "who" should show the names. Well, you could use "Who is online" for a little more formality. I think "Online users list" is not so good: a little redundant since it obviously shows a list. chibaguy: yeah, I wouldn't use "Who" for anything but mod-online_users. it's not used currently. you're right, "Who is online" must be better Fatal error: Call to undefined method MapLib::listMapsWithRev() in /var/www/htmlmap/tiki/tiki-map_edit.php on line 140 chibaguy: that's my problem with it too. even though it's not actually that obvious, as it can and does show a number sometimes here goes timotiCK's only hope chealer: ??? timotiCK: franck left chealer: Ok wrong channel tikiwiki: 03chealer * r21107 10/trunk/lib/smarty_tiki/modifier.duration_short.php: [FIX] stupid bug with empty output for 0 tikiwiki: 03chealer * r21108 10/trunk/ (3 files in 2 dirs): tikiwiki: [ENH] change online_users module to new module style (modules-doc). tikiwiki: [MOD] Change title and name to "Who is online" to avoid conflict with mod-logged_users. logged_users is now called "Online users" and online_users is called "Who is online"... ideas welcome. tikiwiki: [FIX] HTML special chars escaping tikiwiki: [FIX] fallback to username if real name is undefined tikiwiki: [FIX] alt text when user can't receive messages. the image could still be improved tikiwiki: 03chealer * r21109 10/trunk/ (3 files in 2 dirs): tikiwiki: [ENH] change directory_stats module to new module style (modules-doc). tikiwiki: [FIX] Put ":" inside tr blocks tikiwiki: 03chealer * r21110 10/trunk/ (5 files in 2 dirs): [FIX] HTML special chars escaping New Forum Posts: Creating a module from php code - http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=34461 Does someone know how to kompletely disable "Floating help aka the Big blue help icon". Using TW 3.1. If I use Admin-Feature-UI Enhancements the help contend apears on the bottom of every page. thx in advance error/feature is persistent accross different themes. carsten: you don't want the edit help to display at all? what is the purpose of the absurl (absolute URL) parameter used in a few modules? I guess I understand its effect, but I don't understand when it can be useful. chibaguy: yes. the button collades with the fullscreen button and if the "advanced search help " is displayed on every page it disturbes the look and fell of the page... The button location can be changed by editing the CSS file, or adding a "custom.css" file to your theme directory (eg. in styles/tikipedia/). You can move it farther down the page. thx i'll check it. ist it possible to have a different/additional help content with the "button" e.g. a help table of conten... div#tikihelp is the div that contains the button, etc. It has a property "top: 3px" but this can be changed to a higher number to move the button down. I don't know offhand how to change how the help info displays. I mean other than in the popup. thx. think a good place or the help button would be the lower right corner e.g. in the footer. I updated themes.tw.o to branch 3 (just ftp'ed the files); was waiting for the site move but figured I'd go ahead since there's no set plan for the move, and time is passing. Made a new install at themes.tw.o/t2 to demo Tiki 2 themes (in shadowbox popups from the main site). carsten, I agree the advanced search help button (aka Big Blue Help Button) is intrusive. This kind of floating, pulsing icon isn't found on other quality web sites. I don't mind it when I'm in edit mode, but it's overkill for anonymous visitors just viewing the site. It should be a small link or icon in the search form, I think. tikiwiki: 03sylvieg * r21111 10/trunk/lib/tikilib.php: [FIX]group: need consecutive keys to be used as bindvars in a query tikiwiki: 03chibaguy * r21112 10/mods/trunk/ (17 files in 12 dirs): [FIX,NEW] Better color contrast, etc. in superfish menus tikiwiki: 03jonnybradley * r21113 10/branches/experimental/kaltura_integration_two/ (206 files in 74 dirs): [MRG] Automatic merge, trunk 21021 to 21110 tikiwiki: 03sept_7 * r21114 10/branches/experimental/coe/ (86 files in 24 dirs): [MRG] Automatic merge, trunk 21084 to 21110 tikiwiki: 03chibaguy * r21115 10/mods/trunk/themes/underground_tiki_3/styles/underground.css: [FIX] Better article title color contrast. chibaguy: you can disable it in features admin page hi luciash I think the search help is useful. But I don't think the big icon is the best implementation. I think a better way would be the small ? mark icon, displayed as part of the search form. No need for the Big Button for search help to stay with you in the viewport when you scroll down away from the search form. chibaguy: you can switch it off, can't you ? Yeah, but not independently for editing and advanced search. Anyway, I don't want the help off, I just think there's a better way for the search help. (I like the big blue button for edit help.) chibaguy: ah, sure, i see... would be better when possible to set it up differently for each feature Well, if the search help icon was small and at the search form, I think that would be good. (similar to help icon on admin pages) I have a tracker input page with antibot, but anonymous users see whatever spammers last put in the text box. No, just the site header search form. ah, there it wasn't probably introduced polom The BBHI is always visible on every page, due to that search form. chibaguy: i see\ marclaporte: hi Is there a best practice page for strings & translations? Hey marclaporte. How's Scandanavia? It was great now in Paris ah marclaporte: yes, Jyhem was referring to it recently i think my last time in Sweden was '93 (!) *g* hey all hi Was having a bit of trouble with my tiki, and I was hoping someone here might know what the issue is. Using thumbnails, and in the preview they work great but they don't seem to work saved. Chris___, you mean in a wiki page? yeah What is the syntax you're using in the page? >tell marclaporte googledev strings format ehm For the thumbnail? {thumb image="img/instructions/create01.jpg" max="300"} >devtwo TikiStringsFormatConvention http://dev.tikiwiki.org/TikiStringsFormatConvention thank you!!! Chris___, hmm, I never use that so don't know, from my own experience. (I just use img) hmm okay. thanks anyway :) Now that i check the docs on that, I recall using it a long time ago, but seems like it was flakey then, for me. Chris___: what version of Tiki ? 3.1 I believe http://dev.tikiwiki.org/TikiStringsFormatConvention#Strings_in_global_view -> can someone explain what global view means? Chris___: you could use the File Galleries and then you will get the thumbnail included in wiki page via the quicktags toolbar icon automagically I'll give that a try. Thanks! luciash: Thanks, I'll try cache 0 on that page. marclaporte, I'm guessing that means something like the general case. or the default or normal situation. tks I'm going to eat, but "what is the purpose of the absurl (absolute URL) parameter used in a few modules? New Forum Posts: Editing Wiki Page adds History to body - http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=34470 is it possible to modify fields of a user tracker in a profile? oh - I see what you mean with newsletters now sylvieg: ^ sylvieg: I'm sorry, I was in a hurry and didn't read your answer with attention. thank you Hey, I have a Javascript plugin that works in the wiki preview but not once the wiki page is saved. Any sort of reason this might be happening? I'm using version 3.1 so that absurl parameter looks a bit patchy James____: did you use JS? chealer: yeh only soem modules... sylvieg: yeah, and even then you need to know the issue in advance and set the appropriate param :/ I'm using a module that comes with tikiwiki. The thumbnail one. It's a friend's wiki but I'm trying to help since he's new to this it it doens not work .. you can use something like {img src=tiki-downlaod_file.php?fileId=1&thumbnail if the img is in fgal the images aren't, sadly chealer: could be done automaically inf in newsletter then all modules have absurl I'm trying to figure out why it isn't, because it seems to on the main Tiki site. I guess the clean thing would be to modify the newsletter to rewrite links and get rid of absurl, but that seems non trivial, so I guess I'll keep things as is and just explain the purpose indoc.
