does anyone know how to enable staging & appr. for tikipedias "Edit Section" function or how to disable the "Edit Section"

do you know if there is any problem with staging when i use the edit section?
I had the problem that it says the staging version is older than the approved one
e.g if i edit a section it does not generate a staging version for it. instead it appears directly in the approved version. 
which causes (as far as i experienced) some inconsitency
because if i now go to edit the whole page it displays a older staging version and i lost all what i edited using the edit section plugin
what could i do?

I have enabled email as login feature in my tiki installation.
however, when i try logging in with the email id for an existing user, it doesn't work...

sradhakrishna, at one tikiwiki site where i'm a member, email address is used for login, and it works, but I don't know what the admin configuration details are there.
(site is a tikiwiki branch 3 snapshot (so almost 3.2).

(plus Use tracker to collect more information.)
Authentication method is "Tiki".
That's all i see that's relevant.
i had used authentication method as tiki + open id...
will try with tiki as the authentication method.
