Anyway, as far as I can tell, anon should be able to switch themes.
luciash: no idea, it's chibaguy's reveal
chibaguy: I'll update now and check again.
chealer: I was talking about luciash's brain, of course
chibaguy: but last update was just a few hours ago.
chealer: luciash: seriously, you know these $bindvars array variable we use in abstracted SQL queries to magically bind question marks to DB field values...
luciash: the arrays are usually numerically indexed, but sometimes string-indexed, which is problematic with PDO (as I figured after asking)
-: chibaguy needs keystroke recorder with instant intelligent recall ;-)

-: chealer doesn't understand jQuery, but does understand SQL queries
luciash: chealer: nope, you overestimate me :) i don't understand how it works... i know what it is for but that's all basically
chibaguy: just svn-upped and did tiki-install.php; switch-theme module doesn't work for anon.
luciash: at least i didn't know they're numerically or string indexed
chibaguy: neither does the tiki-switch_theme.php url.
chealer: luciash: well, nevermind, I didn't expect you to know the answer to my question, like most devs. I guess I'll have to ask the list, and even then
luciash: well, almost all of them are numerically indexed (which is what happens "by default", say if you do $array[]="value1", then you access the value as $array[0])
luciash: ok
chealer: chibaguy: so the problem would be only with tiki-switch_theme.php?
chibaguy: i guess so
chealer: so it's not my fault, celebrate! :D
chibaguy: heh, tho I see tiki-switch_theme.php hasn't changed in 2 months.
so apparently it's something else that's involved.
but anyway, not the module itself :-)
since theme-switch works for admin, I'd guess perms are the problem, somehow.

MacLeod: k, thx. while i'm waiting for v4 release, i'll just edit the parent theme.
jonnyb: i'll check in 3.2...
yes, MacLeod - the code's in 3.2 (while you wait for 4? :) )
chealer: polom
jonnyb: hi chealer - you've been busy, modules looking good :D
chealer: Kissaki: looking at your mail, looks like smarty_setup.php is a "typo"
Kissaki: ^^
MacLeod: @ jonnyb: probably won't upgrade to 3.2, but just jump straight to 4
jonnyb: @MacLeod: such bravery! :)
chealer: jonnyb: or rather, free enough to work on Tiki :)
-: chealer doesn't live in London, just Quebec City
MacLeod has been to Montreal once, and wants to visit Quebec City next.
chealer: [sylvieg:] I'm wondering how module _help functions work. could you direct me to see where mod_last_files_help, for example, could be called from?
sylvieg: I think it never works - it was just to prepare - as the plugin- tio have an help
chealer: sylvieg: OK. I suppose this is superfluous now with modules-doc?
sylvieg: I suppose
chealer: sylvieg: thank you
sylvieg: chealer .. where do I put the module title now?
find it

chealer: Kissaki: do you have other warnings/errors before smarty_setup.php? tiki-setup.php should set $smarty
Kissaki: no, the require lets php die
so only the require-error
chealer: Kissaki: could you provide an xtrace?
Kissaki: I don't think so :P
chealer: Kissaki: xdebug trace
Kissaki: why not?
Kissaki: don't have it installed/set-up
chealer: Kissaki: both are quick and easy
Kissaki: both?
xtrace something extra to xdebug?
chealer: Kissaki: installation and configuration
Kissaki: no, actually I meant an xdebug trace
Kissaki: so... you got a quick do this, do that? ^^
always wanted to set it up anyway... but never really needed it
lets see
chealer: Kissaki: which OS do you use?
Kissaki: win7, just downloading
hehe, just found 2 other dlls where I put that one
chealer: Kissaki: I never did it on Windows...there's http://xdebug.org/docs/install
Kissaki: tell me if you can get it installed, the configuration should be easier
***: ibrrorg has joined #tikiwiki
Kissaki: mh, as an extension it should displpay in phpinfo() right?
grobda24: Is it safe (security) to leave the debug profile on ?
Kissaki: mh, I think I have it
ibrrorg: two questions: first i have just loaded tiki 3.1. i want to learn the difference between the collaborative community and company intranet (or can they simply both be loaded as profiles and use what I want). thank you.
chealer: Kissaki: yes
Kissaki: as "xdebug"?
chealer: Kissaki: yes
ibrrorg: thank you very much and is there anywhere to get a real good nuts and bolts tutorial as i am wiki illiterate last questions
Kissaki: ibrrorg: profiles are just some default settings, you can always change them later
ibrrorg: intranet is intended for closed networks, like company-internal, with website, wiki for informations etc
grobda24: ibrrorg, hv you tried http://doc.tikiwiki.org ?
ibrrorg: nope heading there now and thank you so much for ya'lls time. good day from TN in the USA

aMichels: hi all, when I stepped away last night, I thought I had found a bug having to do with placing {rcontent id=#} in a module, and I've played with it a bit and been able to consistently recreate the WSOD that I experienced a couple weeks ago.
placing {rcontent id=1} into the module made WSOD
deleting that line from tiki_user_modules through PHPmyadmin brought the site back.
is there a better way to randomize dynamic content? or is this a known bug that has been fixed in 3.2? I haven't updated yet.
***: VK4MSL has left
Kissaki: stupid xdebug...
aMichels: @marclaporte asked if it {content id=#} also caused the problem, and no it does not.
I also checked to see if it had to do with the dynamic content itself, and so recreated the WSOD with different dynamic content, WSOD still there when I use rcontent
Kissaki: loool
chealer: i made it
but in a superb windows style way...
chealer: you
chealer: there
sylvieg: luciash_: Do you think it will be possible to have a setting that defines the width on a site in admin->look without haveing to touch the css?
aMichels: So my question is still, is there another way to randomize content? I tried using fortune cookies when I first looked at this, but I wanted more formatting than cookies provided. Any thoughts?
Kissaki: sylvieg: then the admin area should change the css that way
chealer: Kissaki: I'm still there. how did you do it, if it's not too hackish?
Kissaki: chealer: I qryied you the trace the error displays right away
if you want more of a trace, tell me
and how to
I renamed the dll...
^^
to just php_xdebug.dll like not even the official doc tells me to
but it did work that way
chealer: Kissaki: that trace makes sense. so r22062 should be better
Kissaki: I see...
Kissaki: and why the heck do I have 2 tiki svn projects in my eclipse and that's not even the one in my www folder? ^^
I'd better remove one
I think 1 was to improve folder structure..
ok, nice
now it's SQL errors
chealer: when was the last svn update on themes.tikiwiki.org ?
Kissaki: "Database is not currently up to date!" is that a fact? or the most probable reason?
chealer: Kissaki: is tiki_schema OK?
Kissaki: erm, what?
chealer: Kissaki: the tiki_schema table, how many records does it have?
Kissaki: none?
:)
chealer: Kissaki: then, well, tiki's rightly under the impression that your DB is outdated
