luciash | ah, that sounds bad | [08:08] |
chibaguy | I believe you fixed that once before, right? | [08:08] |
luciash | well, it was working for me
re-testing it right now for admin it saves properly ? | [08:09] |
chibaguy | for admin, it saves, yes, but with original file name. I don't know if that's the expected behavior. | [08:10] |
luciash | i would say yes (admin expects to be able to edit any css via the interface) or do we want css suffixed with -admin and force him to use that for the site ? | [08:13] |

luciash | chibaguy: where is the feature to be enabled ?
chibaguy: the Edit CSS in 3.2 ah i remembr on L&F | [08:27] |
chibaguy | right | [08:31] |
luciash | i get "You do not have permission to write the style sheet" as a user
in proposed branch have to allow write in styles/ i guess oh, but i already have seems it really tries to save into strasa bug confirmed | [08:33] |
talin | hmm, can you make more space in the tables? right now they are very dense | [08:35] |
luciash | maybe i tested only with admin when playing with it last time
talin: i don' know what you mean, padding in cells ? | [08:35] |
chibaguy | yeah, sometimes I forget to check things for registered users, etc., too. | [08:36] |
talin | luciash: yes, padding | [08:36] |
chibaguy | td.wikicell | [08:39] |
luciash | talin: put something like .wikitext td {padding: 10px} to styles/yourthemename/custom.css | [08:40] |
talin | luciash: aah, okey
thank you | [08:41] |
luciash | chibaguy: but it is definitely a regression bug (it worked in 1.9.x for sure) | [08:43] |
chibaguy | ^^ about the tables, a little example of redundancy, I think. tables made with wiki syntax are table.wikitable, so why is td.wikicell needed (table.wikitable td.wikicell)? Small problem, tho. | [08:44] |
luciash | chibaguy: right .wikitable td should be enough | [08:47] |
talin | is there any way to avoid having to write tables on a single line? because i have a really long table and it's difficult to edit | [08:49] |

luciash | chibaguy: doesn't it annoy you in Opera ? | [09:28] |
chibaguy | doesn't what annoy me?
that quick refreshing? | [09:29] |
luciash | yes
it annoys me because i got to click on a tab and suddenly i am back somewhere at the top of page so i have to wait some seconds until it does the "refresh" before i can do anything | [09:30] |
chibaguy | hmm, the refresh I see is very fast, so doesn't interfere with clicking, etc. | [09:31] |

luciash | 3.2 is behaving much more usable | [09:33] |
chibaguy | I wonder what is the cause. | [09:33] |
luciash | i suspect the JS move to foot can be a culprit

jonnyb: hello ! | [11:49] |
jonnyb | hi luciash | [11:50] |
luciash | jonnyb: any idea what can cause that "re-flash" on every page load now in trunk ?
it's pretty fast refresh of page after load in Opera on normal cases but when i use external monitor and load the page there it becomes absolutely annoying when the page loads to have this refreshing very slowing usage of Tiki i cannot track where it comes from yet | [11:51] |
jonnyb | oh? not noticed that... i'll check with most recent changes | [11:52] |
luciash | and if it is really necessary to have this "feature" | [11:53] |
jonnyb | nothing in safari - is this opera only?
(again?) | [11:53] |
luciash | jonnyb: maybe you haven't noticed it because you don't use Opera and/or not using external (dualhead) monitor setup | [11:54] |
jonnyb | i have two monitors - no opera tho | [11:54] |
luciash | it's in every browser i think, just in Opera it becomes apparent and very annoying | [11:54] |
jonnyb | is there an external site that does it for you? | [11:54] |
luciash | can you try with FF ?
lemme check jonnyb: i will svn up that site and point you there | [11:54] |
jonnyb | ok - still nothing here | [11:57] |
luciash | not even fast "refresh" after page load ? | [11:57] |
jonnyb | just doing db up | [11:58] |
luciash | jonnyb: after page load you should notice the dark background "blink" when it does the "refresh"
jonnyb: got it ? | [12:02] |
jonnyb | no? on the home page you mean? | [12:07] |
luciash | jonnyb: in Arora (WebKit) browser it's just that fast that it refreshes all elements on the page quickly | [12:07] |
jonnyb | i'm looking in safari and firefox 3 | [12:08] |
luciash | jonnyb: in FF3.5 it's even not there to be visible | [12:09] |
jonnyb | this is in strasa on the home page, y?
i'll try in (emulated) xp - that's really slow and horrid! | [12:09] |
luciash | jonnyb: but in Opera 10 it's really remarkable compared to 3.2
jonnyb: yes, on the link you can see it (strasa, homepage) | [12:10] |
jonnyb | do you think it's a jquery thing? (try with JS off?)
nope - on safari and fx there's no "flash" when reloading | [12:10] |
luciash | jonnyb: i think it started several weeks (one or two) ago when suddenly CSS menus become showing expanded on page loading and then become hidden after finishing the page load | [12:11] |
jonnyb | oh? there was some new superfish (or something) arrived a week or so ago | [12:12] |
luciash | but you get the css menus expanded upon page loading, right ?
and they become hidden (that's when the complete page refresh happens in Opera) after page finishes the loading | [12:12] |
jonnyb | got a js error in ie7 :(
and the css menu is open | [12:13] |
luciash | you have no Opera 10 to test there, right ?
chibaguy: can you confirm in Opera 10 the quick (usually) page refresh after page finishes loading ? (i guess the slow refresh happens here only because of my slow graphic card when displaying the output on large external monitor) | [12:14] |
jonnyb | the js error seems to be a colorbox one | [12:16] |
luciash | now i switched the external monitor off and it is pretty quick now but still remarkable and annoying because i cannot use tabs or edit page properly until it finishes complete loading
jonnyb: ah, my fault or caused by the upgrade to ColorBox 1.3.1 ? | [12:16] |
jonnyb | checking... | [12:17] |

chibaguy | heh, I was actually sleeping. :-) | [12:19] |
luciash | heh, really ? oops :)
you have strong irc highlight beep ;) | [12:19] |
chibaguy | anyway, yes, for me there's a kind of "blink" after the loading.
it's really quick, but noticeable. | [12:20] |
jonnyb | try switching superfish off (and/or colorbox maybe) | [12:21] |
luciash | chibaguy: it's annoying on large pages, when you for example do edit and preview and happen to scroll down in between when the page doesn't finish loading yet, it suddenly kicks you back to top again after this refresh :-/
jonnyb: i will test jonnyb: btw, aptana studio is pretty cool... lot of goodies. do you know if i can configure the smarty support to recognize our tr, button and other Tiki custom tags ? | [12:23] |

jonnyb | hi gandy909
people are about (somewhere) | [14:58] |
gandy909 | I am having trouble with profiles. I just installed tikiwiki on wamp and it would go slow crash apache everytime. I switched to bitnami wampstack, and it will at least run, but the 'get started using profiles' or any of the 'install profile now' links just time out. I am behind a proxy, so I set up the proxy on the admin section of tiki, but that didn't help....help | [15:01] |
chibaguy | gandy909, you could try installing with just the barebones profile, or no profile, just to get tikiwiki going. | [15:04] |

i am using tw 3.2. should I go to an older version maybe? | [15:18] |
chibaguy | gandy909, if you want to use profiles, it needs to be a recent version of tiki.
seems like your network setup needs tinkering with, to be able to access profiles.tw.o., not really a tikiwiki issue per se. I access profiles.tw.o from my wamp server, but proxy isn't an issue. | [15:24] |

chealer | hi jonnyb. I'm looking at shoutjax. tooltip=1 has no effect usually because you're looking for "" href=" at line 61 in the tpl, but userlink only generates that if ($show_mouseover)
(mod-shoutbox.tpl) that refers to r21430 | [22:02] |
jonnyb | hi chealer - wha?
:) yes, the userlink thing needed more work | [22:04] |
chealer | jonnyb: the shoutbox support a tooltip parameter, which by default is on (1). it generally has no effect though in trunk, because since r21430, mod-shoutbox.tpl line 61 looks for "" href=" to do its job, which usually isn't in the userlink
sorry, line 62 | [22:06] |
jonnyb | it should just depend on the global userlink pref really, i think | [22:10] |
*** | noob_ has joined #tikiwiki | [22:12] |
chealer | jonnyb: what do you mean, userlink should be modified? | [22:12] |
sylvieg | what is the syntx in tiki-download file view the thumbanil but popup the whole img? | [22:12] |
CIA-56 | tikiwiki: 03sylvieg * r22504 10/trunk/db/ (tiki-4.0-mysql.sql tiki-4.0-mysqli.sql tiki-4.0-pgsql.sql): db sync | [22:15] |
jonnyb | chealer: i mean it should obey the global prefs - having special shoutboxfor this should be unnecessary ihmo
sylvieg: do you mean {img src=thumb1 link=display1 rel=box}? | [22:15] |
chealer | jonnyb: I don't understand what by "special shoutbox". are you saying we should get rid of the tooltip parameter? | [22:17] |
jonnyb | yes, i guess - there's already several prefs to set popup info
(not sure if trunk's in freeze this would be the best time to change it tho) | [22:17] |
sylvieg | trunk will be freezed when another branch will be on | [22:20] |
chealer | jonnyb: OK. but until the replace / userlink is fixed, would you oppose me bringing back the default tooltip value to 0 (disabled)?
hehe | [22:20] |
jonnyb | sylvieg: true
chealer: sure | [22:20] |
sylvieg | sylvieg havs no idea how to do that
sylvieg will be happy to learn | [22:20] |
jonnyb | i guess i'ts the the same as making an experimental branch, no?
(some renaming etc also) | [22:21] |
sylvieg | are you sure?
always scared to put tag... o svn | [22:21] |
jonnyb | it's just a branch with a special name
(me2) | [22:22] |
chealer | jonnyb: I'll take that as a "no". thanks
right | [22:22] |
sylvieg | sylvieg is ok to freeze if I have another trunk
otherwise will commit in trunk perhaps the feeze/tag creation should go on devel-list sylvieg thinks chealer puts a lot of time to think about it... | [22:22] |
chealer | sylvieg: did you see http://dev.tikiwiki.org/How+to+release#To_branch_or_not_to_branch ?
sylvieg: sorry, to think about what? | [22:27] |
sylvieg | for history .. the shoutbox ajax box took me a lot of energy - and you are digging init so ..you are smart or I am stupid... | [22:30] |

olinuxx | Is it possible for somebody to point me the good doc for my question ?
The question : We made a homepage for linuxmao.org and we put on some BOX-modules we want to place them and choice width (for example) | [22:34] |
luciash | re | [22:35] |
olinuxx | i read some doc o tikiwiki website, but i don't find the good one :/
re luciash :) | [22:35] |
sylvieg | a gillesm's body? | [22:35] |
olinuxx | if anyone have the good pointer ...
i know gillesM but he's very occuped this time, he advice me to came here for find some useful help sylvieg: can we speak french ? here or in private as you want | [22:35] |
sylvieg | if you want to control width of module in a wiki page - you need some css rules | [22:39] |
olinuxx | arf .. ok
so, i have to put my hand in muck ... and i have to have admin right ok sylvieg, thanks :) | [22:39] |
Upacesky | and another tikiwiki question: is it possible to integrate the content of an article into a "box" on another page? | [22:40] |
luciash | olinuxx: what you need is width param at the div plugin
olinuxx: yes, ARTICLE plugin olinuxx: or if you mean ARTICLE as in WIKI, then INCLUDE plugin | [22:40] |
olinuxx | luciash: have you an example for width param at the div plugin ? | [22:41] |
chealer | sylvieg: oh, you mean it takes me time to commit the default change? that's because I'm reviewing the module as a whole. I already make the change locally | [22:42] |
luciash | sure {DIV(width=49% float=left)}Bla bla{DIV}{DIV(width=49% float=right)}Ble ble{DIV} | [22:42] |
Upacesky | luciash, thanks exactly what I wanted | [22:44] |
luciash | Upacesky: heh, welcome
luciash confused, goes to take the coffee | [22:44] |
olinuxx | luciash: ok, for to be sure, i have to put something like that on a CSS, right ? IT's NOT possible to put it directly in the wiki page, right ?
olinuxx dcc sugar to luciash | [22:46] |
chealer | sylvieg: I hadn't dug into the ajax part, just did and it's readable, but I wouldn't ajaxify stuff yet. it's the first time I try to understand ajax. I know nothing about xajax and don't feel like learning xajax 0.2 too deeply. it looks like the shoutbox may have problems with the new module format, I'll see if I fix it or what later.
chealer bbl | [22:46] |
luciash | luciash is back
olinuxx: thx for sugar but i like coffee without ;) | [22:47] |
olinuxx | as you want
:) | [22:48] |
luciash | olinuxx: nope, you put exactly that in wiki page and inside you put a module or anything and give it a width=100% eventually | [22:48] |
olinuxx | ah .... ok | [22:49] |
luciash | you can put class=cbox param to the div if you want borders
you can even have DIV plugin in a DIV plugin | [22:49] |
olinuxx | i go to test it now !
:) thanks | [22:50] |
luciash | olinuxx: come back if you wanna more examples ;)
np | [22:51] |
