SEWilco2: I told you where the documentation is.

Anyway, I'm not sure it's possible to change the username.

No way the web server can email my email address.
luciash: sorry, i don't understand you
just set your mail address on Admin Home → General
FF|Skyrider: Googel Apps gives you the ability to use google mail for your domain.
*Google
EG: Skyrider@mysite.com
I wish to use a special email for tikiwiki: wiki@mysite.com that will email people for their activation.
But since the domain email is not set on the server, it can't.
luciash: then just go to Admin Home → General and set wiki@mysite.com there
FF|Skyrider: Then what?
luciash: then it will send emails from you server with wiki@mysite.com in From: field
FF|Skyrider: Mmm
I don't think so
Like I said...
Google Mail is taking over the mail services.
Not the server
luciash: if your server is configured to send mails via php mail it doesn't matter what you put in From: field, imho... it can be "blahblah" even
FF|Skyrider: interesting..
I mean.. TikiWiki 4 has an SMTP option
luciash: yep, i never tried that... but if Sendmail option works, why to use SMTP ?
FF|Skyrider: Never got sendmail to work.
It never mailed anyone that uses the domain email
luciash: for external SMTP sever you need authentication in 99% cases of course
FF|Skyrider: I also use SMTP on my forum
Works perfectly.
luciash: if you have your own server you have to configure sendmail to use SMTP relay host
it is already working on web hostings
usually
FF|Skyrider: I don't 'own' the whole server, so I can't do everything.
luciash: no idea, i don't use the Tiki4 SMTP option, sorry i can't help more
FF|Skyrider: :( can't seem to get it to work either
Attempting to recover pass/register with the SMTP settings just hangs the browser in loading

right now my tiki (2.4) is authenticating with ldap

slideshow is not so pretty....
luciash: ah
you want to preload all the images from fgal
jonnyb: hi sylvieg - just using the filegal manger to add images should do it by default, no?
sylvieg: I know that when I did it for tracker I add to hide the other image in an div.. to use shadow box
i want soemthing like that {shadowbox (filegalId=x, firstimage=y) /}
jonnyb: it just needs a rel="box" on the link - or rel="box[galleryname]" for a gallery/slideshow thing

sylvieg: ah... thx will look at it
***: ChanServ sets mode: +o marclaporte
luciash: sylvieg: if you want auto-slideshow try type=slideshow in the rel
***: kiilo has quit IRC ("Leaving.")
sylvieg: ahah thx will try
luciash: or link directly to tiki-list_file_gallery.php?galleryId=1&slideshow
the "old" slideshow was replaced and uses colorbox now too
sylvieg: aha it is because I use a tiki3 version
thx
luciash: oh, ok, then you have to use old shadowbox way
anyway, you need to have the images loaded somewhere in the page and hidden if you want them in *box
as a "gallery"

radif: QUESTION: How do you change the NAME of a page? In other words, not the title within the page, but the actualy NAME of the page itself as it appears when you search or list pages?
sylvieg: luciash: it is why I was wondering if the next / prevuis button can not be an ajax stuff - but so far I read .. I can not find it
jonnyb: radif: rename page? there should be a button at the bottom of each wiki page (if you have permission)
