Hmm, Flash banner shows normally (doesn't stay in dark background) when colorbox displays image in file gallery browse images.
Also, the image doesn't display.
Oh, image display isn't related to the flash. must be local problem here.
still, the flash banner isn't affected by the colorbox's background darkening.

Hi there I have a question. I wish to embed a HTML object and some javascript using the Tiki editor page. However when I use the HTML{()} tag and save this the editor inserts "<x>" in the HTML <object> and <script> tags. I appreciate this is to prevent injection however is ther a way to turn this off for a particular user? Many thanks.

I just checked in my branch 4 site and can use the HTML plugin to insert <object> without any problem.
this is a little newer code than the 4.0 release, but I don't think things have changed since then.
i think its a permissions issue? As in the site administrator can insert the <object> tag and save without any alteration howvere when I try and do it I get <obj<x>ect> on saving.

I don't recall any permissions like that.
So there is no way to prevent this?
as far as I can tell, any user who can use the HTML plugin should be able to insert an object or script tag with it. the sanitation code doesn't discriminate by user group, i don't think.
hmm it's happens for all our users except the administrator. <object> gets saves as <obj<x>ect> and <script> gets saved as <sri<x>pt>. Is there a file associated with the sanitation code where I can take a look perhaps or?
I'm not sure off hand. Maybe someone here can help.

On my end, I'm wondering how a tiki 4.0 install can be done "without errors" and end up with only 199 tables in the db.
fresh install, just unzipped the archive in my localhost.

i think most people fixed the problem by updating their tiki installation.
which is why i think yours might not be completely up to date.
Ok, again is there anyone that has a clue how to make it possible to register new users with TikiWiki (4.0 install)? I only got "Account disabled". 
TikiWiki seems like a nice wiki, but if I can't get it running this week I really need to switch so some other software.

you have to run tiki-install.php and upgrade the database  or on a shell you can sh doc/devtools/sqlupgrade or php installer/shell.php databasename

i installed tikwiki 3.3 on my server and get a blank page when i click on [Login] in [Admin Home]. I renamed /styles/strasa.css to strasa.txt, cleared the cache, but this did not help. on phpinfo() i have 32M memory. Is this the right place to get help?
blank pages usually mean not enough php memory

Step 5 of the installer is "install profile" but there aren't profiles there anymore, just one "install" button.

13 sql errors, mostly like 'Column 'data' cannot be part of FULLTEXT index' so major tables don't get created.
is this due to something unusual on my wamp server, or do lots of people have install problems with tiki 4?
@Chibaguy, I have no errors on wamp installs, except that I can't install the intranet profile.  Everything else has worked flawlessly on a clean 4 install

Hi there does anybody know how to stop tiki from inserting "<x>" in my HTML tags when saving from within the editor? I'm running a newly upgraded version 4.
@ricks99: what do you need to check this issue? the next step i do: install a ftp-server and transfer the files for a new installation by ftp. i did the installation with ssh (unzip tikiwiki-3.3.zip and chmod 777 nessasary directories).
dont know what is causing the issue. possibily some sort of security limitation on your host?
@ricks99: is not a hosting plan. i run it on a virtual server (netcup.de). all limitation can be changed :) ok, first i install tikiwiki 3.3 again by ftp. you will stayed informed.

huw_at1_; unless someone else here has more info, I think tiki 4.0 has not shown the <x> problem. that's why I suggest making sure no old files are being used, by for example just copying the new files over the old ones again.

I don't know why huw_at1_ is getting an <x> in script and object tags in tiki 4.0.
