Alena: hi :-)
I have a problem importing data to the sf repository. I use TortoiseSVN and if I try to import the new language.php, I get an error message, saying that the repository is temporarily removed to http://tikiwiki.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/tikiwiki/branches/4.x/lang/de/. But that's exactly what I have typed into the repo-browser. What have I done wrong ?
***: lorinc has joined #tikiwiki
chealer: Alena: "importing data to the sf repository"? you mean exporting?
Alena: Mmmh, I have a copy of the file here on my local drive and I want to share this file on the repository. Isn't that importing ?
chealer: Alena: no. did you ever use a versioning control system?
Alena: No, sorry. My first time now....
chealer: Alena: you want to commit that file. subversion is a centralized VCS. if you commit the file, everyone gets your file instead of the previous version, though it's possible to rollback any change if you do a mistake.
Alena: before being being able to commit, you need to do a checkout
Alena: although it's possible to checkout just a subdirectory, people usually checkout the whole thing.

luciash: jacmoe: we would like it integrated but it must be optional and widely supported in Tiki
jacmoe: Yes :)
sylvieg: +1 luciash
luciash: jacmoe: if you can take care of it we can provide you commit access to our svn ;)
jacmoe: I need to patch auth.php prefs.php tikiadmin-include ...
marclaporte: jacmoe : this would make it easier for phpbb communities to use tiki features like the blog & wiki
jacmoe: If you have a large community, yes :)
The reason why I'm asking is because we don't want to hack Tiki each time we upgrade :)
marclaporte: jacmoe : tks for your offer
hehe, we all hate that
jacmoe: Should I make a patch against 4 ?
sylvieg: tw has xmlrpc login basis ...
Tikiwiki|bot: Welcome to the official Tikiwiki English Irc Channel. TikiWiki or better known as TW, is your Groupware/CMS (Content Management System) solution, you can get more infomation at http://info.tikiwiki.org/ .
marclaporte: jacmoe : start by putting in trunk, then, you can commit for inclusion in 4.x series
sylvieg: humm I am in the inverse schema
jacmoe: I'll get the trunk, and make a patch :)
marclaporte: 4.1 will be out any day now, so you'll be early for 4.2 :-)
jacmoe: (After testing it, natually)
marclaporte: http://dev.tikiwiki.org/Where+to+commit
jacmoe: Great, I'll see what I can do
