prefs search seems to work great for me, except when you clear the /public bit of the cache - then it's really ssssllllooooowwwww (first time)
i've also just got into editing perspectives - that works great! (same thing, but with drag'n'drop)

I log into the wiki with my admin PW and i get the two option to start with . easy set up and manural set up .  when i click on the options for easy set up it gives me a error . 403 forbidden .  
says i don't have permission  to use it .  i can use the other just fine.

no idea, there can be apache server's mod_security installed which can be configured to filter out requests with some potentially sensitive words in URL or they can have their own rewrite rules set which redirect to the 403 Forbidden status

Hi, I am having a problem that seems to be related to the number of categories that I have.  Basically, once I reach about 145 categories our search no longer works.  Deleting a category solves the issue.
When it breaks it only impacts registered users, but not guests.  If the category function is turned off, then the results return fine for registered users.

the page is simply blank
Once the category that puts us over the "magic number" for lack of a better term is deleted, then you can run the same search and the results return normally

hi, I was up here with a very interesting problem this morning, and after troubleshooting further I found it to be here be with the following module 
mod-categories.php
If php layers is disabled then it works fine for both my registered and anonymous users
however if it follows the path for php layers true for my registered users, then I never get search results
however an anonymous users works fine even with php layers
the number of categories I have does not matter as previously troubleshooting indicated
If anyone has any suggestions on where to go next with this problem I would appreciate it

I have a php layered menu, and I could disabled it in the module itself by changing the php code, but the categories module without the php-layers looks bad
right - this gets better in the later versions because of jquery (so I have no incentive to turn phplayers on)

Figured it out
Everything worked as we had it if the menu was in the right column and hte categories were on the left
both could use php-layers as long as this was the case
hehe
so now the seearch works
they would also work in the left column as long as the categories was above the menu
probably this got fixed in version 4, but just thought I would share
