My org is looking for something that is equivalent to Microsoft Word's track changes capability. I was told that Tikiwiki had this ability. We're using it on a crowd sourcing project

I am convinced this doesn't quite exist yet or no one has successfully accomplished it. I will say "DocumentCloud" has demo something very close, but it's for PDFs

this way you have what you are looking for, somehow

but keep in mind that in Tiki world, plugins are bundled within tiki
in 99% of the cases
and you could call that plugin from within a wiki page, which can be set as the homepage of users from group X

sylvieg: is there any chance that we get some cron to change tracker items status after a certain period of no activity? 
I still have some budget where I guess that I can pay for it
(I remembered a moment ago, when I read the changes in the file gallery config, and file being deleted after a certain period of time; provided a cron job is also added, etc.)
for barter networks (such as intercanvis.net ), that would help to clean the database of offers and demands much more easily than nowadays....
it is on my todo list

I would use Windows client with Linux server

=> which app where you using when you tested in localhost on a windows machine?
(in case easyphp is no longer the recommended one - it used to work like a charm years ago, when I was using windows more frequently)
