While existing users can see and create itesm for it, a new user isn't getting the input fields. I've read the text about access and permissions on the User Regsitration Tracker page, but it doesn;t seem to address my situation. Looking at that page, it seems that when a new registration is entered, a user should be created before proceeding to the tracker page. When I look _LoneCrow: I've now tried 4.2 and 5 beta and all of them have an actual database installed and accessible by localhost, even made it *.* but when i try to get it to connect it gives me "Invalid db oject passed to TikiDB constructor" wintrymix: If I log in and go to a wiki page, logged users can see the input fields. I just installed a centos 5.4 vm with mysql-server gd and pdo-x86_64 (all 64 bit versions because it wouldn't work on regular i386 version) I turned off my firewall to test I created a database manually called tikiwiki and granted all rights to root on the database. I can access the database from my other computer.
I copied everything - ran the setup.sh after c hmodding it to +x and used default settings.

When I run the "filter" for trackers I get the error panel with " System error.

It is the same with any function which uses a query on trackers as " list yours". check that maybe your archive/download is corrupt, pdo extension of php is available and the php5-mysql module is installed?
install mysql-admin and check if you can connect to your database (tool is useful anyhow for tiki development)
