and I get the message on a client cookies are disabled

it's really weird because I only changed server
backuped the wiki, same apache php mysql etc
on first server there was an underscore in the server name (test_wiki)
I changed it to testwiki which worked
but now I started with testwiki1 on a new server and got the msg :(
maybe because it's installed in the www? instead of a new map?
in the login page I get the same error
got it fixed
installed it now not in www
but a new map

I?m using Tiki 4.2 at the site with my students
I update the gradebook in local (using a OOo spreadsheet) and then I upload the whole updated gradebook through csv to a tracker
so far, so good (almost). The problem is that the field "student" (user type of field), gets the text of the tiki username, but it's not properly associated with the username
I mean, when I go to see an item from an student in that tracker, in view mode, I see his username listed. But when I cick on edit: I see no username selected in the drop down box.
So there is something wrong with the association of users with the string of that username.
And thus, the student cannot see his grades because the field user doesn't properly associate the record with him, so that it's not shown for that user ricks99: do u have the "use real name" option enabled (in admin: community i think)
you may need to use the "real" name instead of the tiki user name xavi: if (and when) I edit that drop down to manually select the username in the drop down, everything works again.
oh well, I see what you mean, Rickm, thanks for the tip, but it seems it's not the case. Once I edited (I did already afew times in the last weeks) all and each of the students, I exported the csv from the tracker, paste in OOo, and that base spreadsheet is the one I update locally, export as csv again from OOo, and import to Tiki
but each time I have to re-assign users again... ricks99: ah. xavi: sylvieg or jonnyb around? Any tip on where should I llok at the db or elsewhere to check what might be missing or buggy in the Tiki behavior?

it is a tikifriendly provider, where I have a longterm-subaccount to test my project in a productive environment (with testusers etc.)
Tikiwiki isb sending a couple of database requests and only about the 4th one will come through and will be worked out quickly
so every request takes up to 12 seconds
anybody an idea? luciash: Tiki uses lot of requests because of lot of perms checks, so if you don't need some modules you can gain performance by removing them from left and right cols and also using wiki cache for individual wiki pages helps a lot Torsten_: the site is not big yet, just started and only a few mods are activated luciash: try the wiki cache Torsten_: ok
