ricks99i'm seeing some very odd <TITLE> elements in 5.x svn...
sometime "Array"...
sometimes missing the site title...
etc
[13:48]
Dr_Nibbleshello everyone, I need some help on how to display a toc [13:49]

[13:49]
Dr_Nibblesi activated the plugin and allowed each user to see structures, but it still only displays the javascript:void(1) [13:50]
luciashWeisser: probably tiki_p_view_blog_post [13:50]
ricks99@Dr_Nibbles: {toc} works only with structures.
maybe you mean {maketoc} ?
[13:50]
Dr_Nibbles{maketoc} is the one that displays the links for each headline in the page? [13:51]
luciashDr_Nibbles: weird, {toc} should work [13:51]
ricks99y. pls see docs: http://doc.tikiwiki.org/pluginmaketoc [13:52]
Weisserluciash, there seems to be none such permission
there is tiki_p_blog_post which is set to TRUE for "registered" group
[13:52]
luciashWeisser: but i guess you need to specify which blog post you want to display, going to tiki-blog_post.php is not probably enough [13:53]

chibaguyricks99, your 'Tiki Essentials' looks very nice.
(looking at the blog post image)
[14:12]
RavenCi noticed that the two admin icons not displaying are in the "img" directory, whereas the others are under "pics" dir. Then noticed and .htaccess file in the img dir. if I remove the htaccess file, do I need to restart the server in order for the permissions for the directory to change ? [14:13]
ricks99@chibaguy: hopefully content will match design :)
@Dr_Nibbles: can enclose complete table in a DIV

chibaguychibaguy notices theme options stopped working in branch 5 local svn installation. Can anyone confirm this problem?
theme + theme option can be set in L&F admin, but theme option can't be changed using the switch-theme module, in my current branch 5 svn.

That is, the option selector has no effect, so only the parent theme displays.

chealerxavi, hum... you understand that MySQL users are different from system users (generally, anyway)? [19:25]
xaviand by server the real domain [19:25]
chealerxavi, what did you do there? you just tried to access a Tiki page (tiki-phpinfo) before Tiki was installed? [19:26]
xavifirst, yes, and that how I got the tip that tables were not installed [19:26]
chealerxavi, OK. not a big surprise. [19:26]
xaviI couldn't even install a simple phpmyadmin days ago
ok, I'll see (command line) what's in the db through making a new dump, and looking in the shell
[19:27]
chealerxavi, if phpmyadmin works, Tiki has everything it really needs. except possibly PDO, which you must have if you're able to get to the homepage.
xavi, how old is SUSE 11? which PHP version?
[19:28]
xavihow old... no idea, hold on... [19:29]
jonnybjonnyb is quite pleased he's managed to cause an internal server error on paypal after less than an hour's experimenting [19:30]
xavi:-) [19:31]
coaboa;-)
hi xavi. regarding printing of doc. My messages to the user mailing list bounced. Delayed with our release but getting closer.
[19:31]
xavibounced.... aren't you subscribed? [19:33]
coaboaI am subscibed to developer mailinglist
tried to user to but that didn't worked for some reason.
[19:33]
xaviusers has almost no traffic. you can safely subscribe also
they are two different lists
you have to subscribe to both individually
[19:34]
coaboauser group always told me that verification code did not match... after 3 tries i gave up [19:35]
jonnybsounds like paypal ;) [19:35]
xavi:-D
chealer: I found it: php5.2.6-50.17

coaboaxavi: is it right that if I would produce a document representing the structure "documentation" that this would cover the most areas? [19:36]
xaviand pdo seems installed. php5-pdo
coaboa: I would say yes. and it any area is not represented, the way to proceed (or at least the way I proceeded 3 years ago to produce the former pdf) was to extend first the doc.tw.o/Documentation structure
but it's a slow process
and luckily, not much need to do that probably, since during these last 3 years many pages have been added to the doc.tw.o/Documentation structure
[19:37]
chealerxavi, that should be fine. what happens when trying to login as admin? [19:40]
xavihold on, you'll see it... I'll re-install db [19:40]
chealerchealer bbl [19:41]
xavithe best way to re-install db from the command line is through mysql -uuser -p db < ./db/tiki.sql - Isn't it?
what the heck is a package called mysql-Max (Mysql Server with Berkeley DB)
?

chealerisn't there an extended description? [20:00]
xavixavi thinks that the problem is with the mysql installation
chealr, I'll invest some time to read about how to properly install mysql on suse11, first
because the problem might be there....

xaviyes, it might be installed (I'm used to debian-like description of packages, and yast2 describes mysql-client as usual, but mysql server is listed just as "mysql" ...). Anyway, it seems installed, but probably, I didn't confiogure it properly.... (I'm still readying some opensuse howto...) [20:05]

xavi:-) like I'm starting to feel right now :-)
yes, I'm still here, fighting with a suse virtual server
nowadays, I added new repo's to suse distro's from the command line ! (moving forward :-) for the packages I was missing
[20:37]
jonnybsounds like fun [20:38]

montana_Wondering if anyone can give me input on tiki wiki as a platform to collect, collate and summarize information for a project?
In particular to support the accreditation of a school.
[21:08]
...... (idle for 27mn)
xavimontana_: Tiki will help you for that
see the videos related to Structures: http://doc.tikiwiki.org/Structures of wiki pages
in case you have to submit your project printed in paper at some point, etc.
[21:36]
montana_we would likely have to make it into paper at some point, but we would like it to be our culture more than a once every X years project.
i'll check out the link...thx.
[21:40]

xavihttp://www.electrictoolbox.com/phpmyadmin-cannot-start-session-without-errors/
mmm, it seems some problem with sessions
that makes sense
"A simple chown is all that's required:" <- I like that. I?ll try
php.ini says:
session.save_path="/var/lib/php5"
oups, wrong tab, sorry
[21:45]
***montana_ has quit IRC (Quit: Page closed) [21:49]
xavioh well, it worked
the problem was with that php.ini setting, pointing to a directory where apache user couldn't write (it was formerly owned by root:root)
so chown to the user and gruop for the apache user, and it worked!
A pity that tiki-installer.php didn't give any clue. Luckily phpMyAdmin did: "Cannot start session without errors, please check errors given in your PHP and/or webserver log file and configure your PHP installation properly."
sylvieg , jonnyb, ... fyi ^
oh well, that part was not fun, but it's finally solved
thanks to chealer's feedback in private channel! :-)
[21:57]
jonnybhmm - stinky, but glad you cracked it eventually [22:01]

jonnybmeanwhile i've been playing with payment stuff on c2c.op [22:03]
chealeryes. phpMyAdmin is a great pre-Tiki test (and tool, even)
except for PDO
[22:03]
xavi+1
xavi doesn't like suse. It was his first distro ever back in 2002, but soon changed for debian based distro's
it was also due to (in theory) better support from toshiba for Suse
for the laptop I had by then
ok, back to work
