luciash, tumbleweeds are a kind of bush that dries up and blows across the dry prairie or plain, and are an icon of old cowboy movies, usually symbolize loneliness, I think.

I have more tips about the possible source of the issue with action log: drop down menus for years... not showing all years...
the problem seems to be with some old file in the installation, from earlier tiki versions (upgraded since tiki 3, by adding files on the same installation)
so some old tpl's (or css???) might be interfering there. 
I mean, in the parallel totally clean installation of the same tiki5rc1, on the same server, with the same db, ... I can select years up to 2010
but with the current installation (which has some older files also), only up to 2007
I checked and I?m using there bare strasa.css style , and there are no leftovers from older themes in any folder from that installation - it's not multitiki either...
ok, anyway, now I know, I need to do some clean installation there to avoid further issues with old files...
even if I wonder which ones are the ones to blame of such interference
for upgrading old milestone versions to new it is always better to start in fresh new dir

it's  site with ftp only and with "cages"....
so it's a bit of a pain to upgrade this way, becuase it means I have to leave the production site unproductive for some days (slow ftp up..., etc.)
but yes, I?ll do that these days, if just clearing the folder of templates doesn't help
oh ? can't you just copy everything needed to public_html-new and when ready, then just switch, by renaming that directory ?

luci: I did that yesterday (sync. with krusader, and no way... in theory, all same files from tiki 5rc1 are in both old a new-test install)
however, in old install, there are a few dozens of old tpl's and old files...
anyway, I started clearing the whole old site, and when empty, I'll re-upload a brand new tiki5rc1
