on another topic, wasn't it possible to use wiki syntax in Look and Feel textareas prior to Tiki 5? In Tiki 5, putting {DIV()} in a textarea stops the page from displaying from that point down.
at least in my wamp installation.

Noob question:  I'm trying to build a wiki installation where I have three seperate servers that all share the same database and file set.  The catch is that a user at each location should talk to the local server only, and the local server should replicate any changes out to the others.  Can I do that with just MySQL clustering, or am I missing an extra component (like something to sync up files attached to pages)?

I looked at TRIM, but it seems only to be management of multiple Tikis, rather than syncronization of multiple tikis.  TRIM supported backup, but that's not quite right.

clustering would be the best term for it, I guess.  Are all the pages and their associated data (attachments, images, etc) stored in the MySQL database?  If so, then MySQL clustering may work.

hmm.....I'll have to investigate MySQL clustering then.  As long as each Tiki server has the exact configuration, then clustering the DB between each of them may work.

Just read some docs on MySQL clustering, and while it might work great for higher bandwidth, it won't work if you have low bandwidth or high latency between servers (which I have).  Is there a way for a Tiki server to periodically synchronize its changes with a 'master' server, and get updates from the master (that other 'slave' servers had sync'd)?
I saw that the Tiki command center could send pages to other servers, but there was no way that I saw that was a 'automatically send any updated page to these other servers'

I read that, but there wasn't much there on how it works.  Is it a periodic replication, or immediate?  These details matter as my servers would be physically seperated, and occasionally the link to one may go down entirely for a day or two.  I also have to make the best use of my tiny bits of bandwidth between locations.

I am not sure what else you need to setup. I am not aware that SUMO (the people who made the feature) made any specific documentation.

@marclaporte : fellowed this to build the first level car / model, but can't get the second model / color to work properly
Setup Tiki 5.0 for a department Collaborative trial implementation. Using Tikinet theme + shadow css. Office using range of only MSIE 6 and 7. When viewing the site I've created, the popup menu is overlapped by those tabbed content areas. The font rendered seems distored, eg Sub-Header.
Tied with Firefox, Chrome, and MSIE8 no issues. But Corporate standard to use not more the MSIE7, due to other corporate web applications, etc. How is it so the CSS is not rendered properly at MSIE 6 & 7?
@Elvin: need use use IE in "compatability mode"

I do know that the office is moving to IE7, but not 8 at the moment, (beyond my control) for the upgrade, due to corporate pushed applications. Sighs! I'm waiting for them on the SharePoint thingy... hope that would change something, including those Notes application databases.

ok, forget it. I got it reading inside the setup.sh of Tiki 3.x.... (I recall that being different... or maybe it's me that I don't remember well how it worked...)
Anyway, I got it.
it was just using "./setup.sh fix"  (I didn't want to "fix" anything, but to start a new install in tiki3 with a few child tikis...)

Hi All, The user's real names I can set by hand already. Is it possible to couple it with the registration and/or with a user tracker? What I tried is a user preference field 'realname', and also tried 'Real name' just these did not work. Any suggestion?
leaving a message here for narsil:  The dynamic list issue is not new. I did some debugging why it would not work, and logged an issue with al my analysis, http://dev.tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_tracker_item.php?itemId=3108&trackerId=5&show=view As long as this is not fixed, using categories can be a solution for those facing such issues.
