I changed my start page to a forum page, but know this forum is visible even for not registered users, what can I do?
have you check perm ? If your users can;t see, admin can ?

perm, permission there are a lot on tw you have to dig there. When you log as admin do you see it ?

if you see it as admin and not as anonymous it is more a question perm than anything else...
escamoteur: make sure the Anonymous group has no view forum permission or a category object permission
hmm, in the group permissions anonymous has no permissions at all but i get a lot of this warnings

I have a small permission problem on my local testserver (trunk): Registered users have all rights on wiki pages and categories, a test category (created by admin) exists and on wiki, Mandatory category, Categories and categories path are set on Admin/Wiki. However a registered user does not have the categories tab on the wiki page editor and gets the mandatory category warning
Any ideas?

and it is a brand new setup from trunk. So, the default behaviour, I would have expected is that the user in Registered can see the categories tab and choose a category

hello, could someone tell me what php convert the wiki syntax into html (ex:! hello -> <h2> hello </ h2>)? I thought I had found in walk_and_parse function of lib / wiki / editlib.php. But after some modification to verify (!!! -> <h1>), the result remained unchanged (!!! -> <h3>). So, someone tell me where the conversion is done ? Thank.

I see the hint in tiki-edit_perspective that says "Search for configurations below and drag them in to the configuration section above."
So I search on "Category Jail", and up comes a form.
I enter the category ID in the "Category Jail" field... and then what?
Clicking the "save" button above doesn't seem to do anything.
And I can't seem to "drag" anything on the page.

Not sure if anyone will read this, but I found my answer.  On the bottom of a wiki page, there is a 'Perms' button.  You can set permissions for that page or globally.  You then have a list of options including letting users edit pages :Can edit pages (tiki_p_edit)

while this was in the tracker plugin: it was sent, but not saved after all because the global perm was not set, just the object perm

hi! i was running tw 1.x-ish for some years, no probs, and recently, part of my database disappeared (!) ... Ts onward, if you list tables alphabetically ... like they were clobbered in a batch or something... anyway, i believe the important stuff (content -- blog posts, wiki page revisions/history, and whatnot) is still there... i've upgraded to 4.1, but it looks like the database has been reset (i thought there was a chance it might just add back the missi
ng tables and i could fudge it back to working order)... i backed up the db contents before upgrading; what's the best way to get my old content into 4.1? are the database schemata compatible, etc? thanks!
read again all the upgrade notes - from 1.x - you perhaps need to upgrade to 1.y and then to x.z - before having a smooth direct upgrade to whatever - thanks lph for the improvment -
