ok. I fixed it. I used setup.sh on the hosting provider shell access
without root.
and it miraculously fixed it. I tested yet again the situation on my pre-production environement (With the same tiki version from svn) and It doesnt fix it.
Try it again if you want....  I cannot tell if it is a bug and how to name it and report it.

devlabmtl, if you check back, notice in the examples of code to be entered in the Look and Feel textareas, {literal} tags are needed around script tags, etc.
Since Smarty templates are being modified.
Also, even after the preference is deleted from the database, probably the cache needs to be cleared if your site is still mess up (empty the templates_c directory).

good morning. I'm trying (for days) to set up wiki to force groups of users create under a category for each one... with no success. I tried to make it auto categorize (group policy), but when saving page tiki says "must set a category". I don't know if i should set -as admin-  "force categorization within subtree of: [all or none]"... Can anybody help me to set up that feature? I'm getting crazy...
Also I tried to make users decide to set category when creating document, but no luck setting rights for them... nobody but admin can see category tab...

hello guys, question - how do I set timezone for the tiki. date command is correct if I call it from shell, however from tiki, by looking @ dates when creating pages, files, etc - the time is offset by 6 hours. Changing the timezone doesn't help

then try to list them
it gives you the list of pages & times

I am not sure if I explained it. I will try to make myself clear, by using example. So I have a machine running +6GMT timezone, it reports that time now is "Tue Jul 20 17:24:59 ALMT 2010"
but if I go to tiki & create a wiki page
called "aaaaaaaa" & list wiki pages, it will show me that page "aaaaaaaa" with creation time of 11:25 UCT
if I change timezone in tiki, to say EST
& create another wiki page - I will get another timestamp 11:26 EST
now :)

j0n3: about tiki being alpha, it's been around a long time, but has a huge code base, with some things old and some new, and some old things being rewritten, etc. So some code is rough, for sure, depending on where it's at in the cycle.

nothing, we're just lacking db performance so i thought caching certain database queries could be good idea
luciash: I wouldn't call it a "db queries caching solution", but we do have a general cachelib, as you probably know, which can be used to cache resultsets from DB queries.
chealer: ah, i didn't know we have that and already do that, sorry for asking then
luciash: no problem (sorry, I hadn't grasped the exact meaning of "query"). but note that cachelib is used only in a few cases. most resultsets are not cached.
