devlabmtl: what browser, browser version, Operating system are you using?
ok. I fixed it. I used setup.sh on the hosting provider shell access
without root.
and it miraculously fixed it. I tested yet again the situation on my pre-production environement (With the same tiki version from svn) and It doesnt fix it.
Try it again if you want.... I cannot tell if it is a bug and how to name it and report it.
My version (svn info) URL: https://tikiwiki.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/tikiwiki/tags/5.0 with Rev: 27536
Using Feb12 theme and some custom CSS and JS.
I went to tiki-admin.php?page=look, then the second tab, and added custom html header with
<!--[if IE 7]><style type="text/css">.someclass{display:none}</style>
<![endif]-->
then everything broke.
if its a bug. :) tell me.
got to go now

I tried to make it auto categorize (group policy), but when saving page tiki says "must set a category". I don't know if i should set -as admin- "force categorization within subtree of: [all or none]"... Can anybody help me to set up that feature? I'm getting crazy...
Also I tried to make users decide to set category when creating document, but no luck setting rights for them... nobody but admin can see category tab... Sorry, what are you asking?
heh ,

project admin
I mostly do the themes. lameruser: sorry then :) chibaguy: :-) that's ok. lameruser: how do I change it ?
because if I set "Use site default to show times"
and selected applicable timezone chibaguy: What Tiki version are you using? lameruser: but the times that are displayed are skewed by 6 hours
tiki 5 chibaguy: hmm. same here. lameruser: Tue Jul 20 17:19:55 ALMT 2010
this is what date says, from shell chibaguy: where are you looking at times being reported? I just checked with a shoutbox post. lameruser: if you create a wiki page
then try to list them
it gives you the list of pages & times
10:20 UCT
so I have like 7 hours of difference
If I set another timezone & create a new page or upload a file
the time doesn't change chibaguy: So setting the time zone correctly shows the wrong time? lameruser: 11:19 UCT
I see, the timezone thing
only changes the timezone label
if you select GMT it will add GMT to the time
if it is EST
it will just add EST time
I am not sure if I explained it. I will try to make myself clear, by using example. So I have a machine running +6GMT timezone, it reports that time now is "Tue Jul 20 17:24:59 ALMT 2010"
but if I go to tiki & create a wiki page
called "aaaaaaaa" & list wiki pages, it will show me that page "aaaaaaaa" with creation time of 11:25 UCT
if I change timezone in tiki, to say EST
& create another wiki page - I will get another timestamp 11:26 EST
now :)
I guess it is quite clear
as a db, I use mysql
if I do "select sysdate() from dual;"
I get the same time as in OS chibaguy: Is it not possible for your Tiki installation to report the right time, assuming you set one time setting and leave it at that? lameruser: no, it is always skewed by 6 hours
:(
no matter what timezone I chose from tiki general settings chibaguy: I don't get it. Why isn't it skewed for me?
Actually I haven't seen other people reporting this problem. lameruser: chiba, how do you see that you changing timezone in tiki works ? chibaguy: j0n3: about tiki being alpha, it's been around a long time, but has a huge code base, with some things old and some new, and some old things being rewritten, etc. So some code is rough, for sure, depending on where it's at in the cycle.
