let´s say, I have two different websites
I would like to get severeral pages of the one site into the textarea of the other Site
just link them in, like they would be origin pages of the second Site
what feature I would need?
-> I do not want to include the whole first site with navigation and header (<iframe>) but only the text; especially wikipages
is that possible in a more or less easy way?

I have a problem in formating/designing my custom top-menu
I did put in the code for it into admin -> look and feel -> general layout -> top bar -> custom code

then I did name it <div id="tiki-top"> {menu id=43 ....
technically it works fine
the background is now the same as of the standart top-bar, formatted in the template, but the font, the fontcolour and the alignment is different

yes, if I do not uncheck the top-bar
if I uncheck the topbar, it is fine and only the new one appears
ah, ok, you have to use some tool like Google Chrome's "Inspect element" and check out what classes are applied for your custom top menu
when I take the original code from the documentation (only the first half applies for the top-bar-custom-code)and change the menu id to 43, I have a "naked" menu included all items
btw, i noticed yesterday after reviewing the doc page that you don't have to use the CSS code (it applies only for Tiki 2.x)
when I then change the original div id to "tiki-top" (like the top-bar in the template seems to be named), the custom top-bar gets the background of the original top-bar and the standart-template font and fontweight, but not the font and fontcolour of the original top-bar
we have a custom theme, that we changed by our selves, so it may turn out, that we made a fault there
could you send me a link to the doc, where you did find that, please, luciash?

how can I change for ex the font colour or the font?

would "cssmenu_horiz" be kind of the parent class of "cssmenu_horiz menu43 sf-js-enabled sf-shadow"? 
I mean, I think perhabs changing the design/formatting/style of the "cssmenu_horiz" in the css/style/template could change the settings as appropriate for the specific one aswell?

depending on what you want, you can add just another class behind it
or just do it in the menu43 class
which if I understand it correctly is specific for menu 43
so your edits wont impact other menus
generally, I would like to have it as standart for horizontal menu bars, if I find a possibility to create kind of site-divisions (idea workspaces?) with individual top-bars, but same design - perhabs with categories
then adapting cssmenu_horiz would be your choice
so would be the class cssmenu_horiz ?

so I just put it in my template and describe the style in there 'class {style }'?

ah yes, luciash I am used to say template to the css-files, but I know that it is in /styles thx - already have it downloaded, have it in the tiki-css-editor, have it printed out
Instead of modifying an existing Theme, I always create my own Theme option where I can override everything without breaking the original: see http://themes.tikiwiki.org/CSS
@TorstenFabricius: if u only wnat to override for a particular menu, check the parent div, then define your overrride.

I have an unusual question (quit laughing)....  Using a hosted site, I used fantastico to install TW 4.1 (all they had).  What would be the best avenue to upgrade from 4.1 to either 4.3 or 5.0 (prefer 5.0)?  FTP the files over-top of that install and upgrade?

I´ll try to get the contextual menu done and then I´ll do the stuff with 3.x to 5.x and 4.x to 5.x upgrade
marc mentioned that and I think we should go for tiki5 anyway
the css stuff changed in tiki4 and as far as I understood, the system in tik4 is kind of some better than in 3.x
many theme/layout changes from 3 -> 4. huge improvement

I need some help. Basically I am trying to restore my wiki I have my /var/www/html/tikiwiki and /var/lib/mysql/tikiwiki folders but everything I have tried is resulting in errors have a desc ready to send as a query for anyone that would be so kind
