for my needs, I used to have TikiLiveUSB for people attending some course I taught on Tiki administration years ago
SLax is a slackware modified distro 
to keep it small, with KDE 3.x, easily i18n and l10n
Most of the target audience has vmware player, but getting an USB stick working or even booting from USB in VMWare is a PITA
^much easier to have in other langs differnt than english, than with DSL, DSL-N, or other small distros (Puppy Linux is getting closer)
for VM Ware, you could use the ISO file
At my old school we have a minimal gentoo with xfce4 working on a broad range of hardware
the question with the VMWare stuff is where will the data be saved
:-) xfce: most common distros with xfce (like xubuntu or similar) are heavier than Slax with KDE 3.x, imho

that Slax distro, also has the option (in theory) to save changes in a file on disk, or on a usb key
that sounds very good

luci, sorry about that. I guess it seemed natural to make the change in lite.css rather than add code to another file to override it. Everyone thinks of lite.css being just one file in Tiki rather than having a standalone existence, probably.
chibaguy: now (besides your commit) i notice also nylothßs r29844 and the discussion about the change... i am not sure it was good idea to change lite.css fundamentally in the freeze mode, so i would rather see it as overrides in layout.css, than modifications to lite.css
The timing was due to some problems apparently due to body {display:table} so it was considered a fix, and so ok during the freeze, as I understand it.

ah, I just remembered why fivealive's bg images are cut off. it's a fixed-width special case.
I don't know why it broke exactly, but it needed an !important to fix it.

ah, actually there's a way: body.fixed_width #header-top {width: 990px}, etc. if we want this theme to behave just like the others.

luci, probably lite.css shouldn't have Tiki-specific rules, thinking about these recent changes. Longer-term, I think it would be good to either fork it or move the rules in lite.css into layout.css and have one fewer stylesheet.

having the font and heading sizes in lite.css has always bothered me a bit, thinking about lite.css as a Tiki file alongside the other css files.

its not the structure that is translated -- only pages within the structure
