"compare", etc., has the class "button". Because it contains buttons? I don't see the logic there. Lots of Tiki's elements contain buttons but don't have/need that class. I'm faced with rolling back .button to span.button for reasons like that. :-/ I wonder if anyone minds if I change that td class to "button_container". I've got a hunch nobody styles that td using .button. hi chibaguy no idea myself sorry. (it's not a visible element) i think it will not work properly in all browsers at least i don't remember but maybe i experimented with it in the past and decided to use the display: table on body for some reason So InterTiki turned out to be a "bad idea"? Because it is better handled with CDN and load ba;lancing nowadays? maybe only reason was to avoid introducing an extra div wrapper around inside the whole body a lot can be done with perspectives and multi-domain, categories and permissions, which isn't necessarily simple to set-up, but much less of a pain to maintain but definitely there must be one display: table to make that right side expanding of content and pushing the right column work properly there are significant advantages to having a single installation to upgrade and back-up intertiki served it's purpose well and still works, only it was introduced a long time ago and a lot has changed since lphuberdeau: but isn't it slower to render then than using intertiki ? slower? lphuberdeau: performance completely unrelated lphuberdeau: checing all the perspective preferences checking that's like one call to array_merge ok and one query that sounds good then jonnyb: reply sent to that commit msg trust me, there are slower bits in tiki Multi-Tiki: "simulate multiple domains hosted on the same instance" Instance means installation/server? I have three servers and a varied community, seeking SSO... that's why I'm asking for your use case, intertiki might also be what you need if they are really distinct communities (which is not really the case for *.tiki.org) but yes, instances refers to installation jonnyb: do we wait for gary or rollback ? anyone else getting concerned with all the regressions and recent issues? jonnyb: actually i don't know what was the problem... it seemed ok to me (the header background) jonnyb: and this commit definitely didn't fix it - rather the opposite luciash: also have replied ricks99: we're all concerned... otherwise we wouldn't wasting time on irc here ;) yes, the header looked ok to me - i was getting the bg colour extending after the bg image stops on the right yep jonnyb: actually, it was another bg image, not just bg color you could see the join (if your monitor is big enough) i see the join and i wondered if anybody else cares ;) but it certainly wasn't as broken as it is now meant more, we should re-examine our process, esp. in terms of what should/shouldn't be allowed to be added during after a freeze i was thinking about should i fix it ? ;) we all care - it's just a case of priorities, i think (stability more important than perfect pixels) yep yep please :) heheh i can do it, but after this layout gets fixed again tikiwiki: 03sampaioprimo * r30280 10/trunk/ (2 files in 2 dirs): [FIX] renaming blog menu entry from 'Create/Edit Blog' to 'Create Blog' since this is the real functionality of the link seems it's mainly fivealive that suffers jonnyb: #3607 wondering if you can look at it. (seems ok in safari) jonnyb:, I try safari now... but i am getting the first link appearing as ((|Link1)) it was firefox (extra pipe char - breaks the link) jonnyb: you got ((|Link1)) because it filled the "show this text" field sometimes it puts it there, other times it puts it in the other field hmmm Ayway, I think the easy soluiton to not creating invalid links is to do nothing if "Link to this page" is not filled (if that's easy to do) agreed Steward: test out both options and see what works for you ckeditor's selection plugin is really enigmatic - been battling with it for weeks! Good things! robertplummer: nice shot (or to install some profile actually ?) robertplummer: cool could preview be broken without autosave or something? not last time i checked (a week or so ago) ah, in trunk? or 6? lphuberdeau: seem ok for me (in 6x) I'd have to check my config, working on trunk, using preview cause the edit protection JS and told me page name pas missing afterwards not nice autosave might be needing attention in trunk - i updated jquery the other day, but rolled it back in 6.x as several things didn't seem to work anymore iirc u need xajax for preview if ajax is on ajax on is not enough hmm, toolbars admin seems broken (on trunk) no, i removed the dependency on xajax for autosave & new preview ah tikiwiki: 03nkoth * r30290 10/branches/6.x/lib/toolbars/toolbarslib.php: [FIX] Insert Wiki Link popup has scroll bars in IE7 messing up view I did disable xajax and kept ajax on, does not seem to like that i think i'll have to rollback the jquery & ui updates jonnyb: works with ajax on only, maybe i have had autosave on before and when i edited new page it showed me the autosaved one which was still blank page in the preview or something like that :) these days it shows you a link if an autosaved one is available, so you get the proper saved version by default svn'ing up visop-dev.com... can't wait to test it! Hello tikiwiki: 03jonnybradley * r30291 10/branches/6.x/lib/toolbars/toolbarslib.php: [FIX] toolbars admin: Test for CKEDITOR before using to stop JS errors in toolbars admin (TODO refactoring) I am a new tikiwiki user and i am struggling with Tracker filters, can anyone help? hi PGTIPS_ - welcome! but sorry, i have to go now... have you read all the docs? http://doc.tiki.org/PluginTrackerFilter have a look at http://doc.tiki.org/PluginTrackerList too as filter uses this to output good luck Yes but i get a database error tikiwiki: 03jonnybradley * r30292 10/trunk/ (. lib/toolbars/toolbarslib.php): [MRG] Automatic merge, branches/6.x 30284 to 30291 PGTIPS_: what error A corrupt database error It is ok without a filter where do u get it and what tiki version After i set the filter ID and filter value. Basically sel is undefined. Note: underlying problem of selection not being able to be captured in IE still an issue. See bug #3607 which formulation is correct English between "A user commented a page" and "A user commented *on* a page"? I would vote on... *on* *on* is required Hi All, nkoth: I was told that you could help me in preventing realName user pref. duplicates automatically. Is there an easy way to get the realName unique? _Gergely: not really, why would you want to do so? thanks Kimberlee, luciash and nkoth and what would you do if different people have the same real name? so that you do not have 5 users with realName admin I wanted to use it as nick name, actually since it is used overall in postings and so so you want to use it as a kind of 1st come 1st server type of name? right, exactly well, the only way to prevent people from entering a name that's already been taken is to write something that checks if a name has been set and gives an error if it happens. I think there is only function set_user_preferences in tikilib that does setting of that maybe if you write a mini-feature to do that check if the feature is enabled. It won't be very elegant if someone is trying again and again and get error message again and again saying it's all taken could it be like the re-enter passwd field? to fix that part, you will need some UI enhancement to check this like the login field via ajax it's a bit more work then it's definitely feasible - one of those not difficult but not trivial either type of things how does it work for the text(area) tracker field? one type of the tracker fields got recently a new flag stating if the field was unique I could not find this code in the tracker plugin .. I didn't realize that new field flag, or tried it maybe you can ask who wrote that part, maybe sylvie What I've been working on is more about the disambiguation of real names, e.g. John Doe (johndoe) vs John Doe (johndoe2) text area, distinct flag oh yeah, actually, it is interesting to me if there is a tracker field that does what you want you can use the realname syncing feature that I wrote that syncs a specified tracker field in a user tracker to the real name it is an nice and easy solution. If the user is notified that the previous name was in use, it sounds ok in my case and then you can simply hide the UI to edit the realname normally that requires no coding... it's a bit roundabout though but if you already have a user tracker for other user info e.g. user profile then that makes sense yes, I have user trackers and a user praf realName in there yeah, but the user pref RealName does not check for uniques but if there is another field type that checks for uniques , you can use that field instead and then use http://doc.tiki.org/tiki6#Synchronize_the_realName_user_preference_from_fields_in_the_tracker wow. I think I understand the idea, but this is really the uniqueness. I got to check this. Does the numbering also work with no coding? what numbering? .. the page is still loading .. johndoe2 well, it doesn't number right now. The disambiguation is mainly for the selection of users from the autocomplete selector (chich shows real names). It puts the login in brackets right now. ok. just reading the page you sent: 1.38.14. says that there is a tracker field "distinct" validator sounds right I think I know how it works now (it's through the ajax validator) so it should work it can be applied t any field type then - but I am not sure if it will work properly on the user pref field but 1.38.13 solves that problem anyway is it only in 6.x? yes, everything on that page is "new in Tiki 6" so not in 5.x then. I would like to look up the change list to integrate back locally to 5.3. do you remember if you committed it to 6.x? tikiwiki: 03sampaioprimo * r30296 10/trunk/lib/ (5 files in 3 dirs): wordpress importer: import categories cannot find it 6.x. it must have been a merge thanks, nkoth. I will find my way from here. nkoth: i have checked Admin > Trackers but the setting is not there nkoth: there is only "Show user's real name instead of login in autocomplete selector in trackers feature" luciash, maybe it's another pacge I am searching tikiwiki: 03sampaioprimo * r30297 10/trunk/lib/ (2 files in 2 dirs): wordpress importer: fix importing categories luciash it's in admin login nkoth: ah, ok, then the text needs to be updated on the Tiki6 page done tnx :) tikiwiki: 03lphuberdeau * r30298 10/trunk/lib/ (2 files in 2 dirs): [FIX] Incorrect internal state management leading to unsuccessful replacements and later crashes Recent Bug: Tracker item: #3609 - - Editor in tiki-editpage.php narrower in IE7 than in other browsers - http://dev.tiki.org/tiki-view_tracker_item.php?trackerId=5&itemId=3609 Recent Bug: Tracker item: #3610 - - Wiki links with brackets at end of page name drop closing bracket - http://dev.tiki.org/tiki-view_tracker_item.php?trackerId=5&itemId=3610 Recent Bug: Tracker item: #3611 - - no built-in way to prevent realName user pref. duplicates automatically - http://dev.tiki.org/tiki-view_tracker_item.php?trackerId=5&itemId=3611 New Forum Posts: Tikiwiki - http://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=39165 ping sylvieg
