lphuberdeau: trembly:I don't really know what you mean (too much text is confusing)
did you look with firebug to see where the CSS property is coming from?
uSlacker: Polom, all
I have a new 5.3 install and I'm using articles to display certain information
I've added a Topic and an image to the TOpic
when I display an article in that topic, the image is not dicplayed - instead I get a broken image display
I looked at the image source and it uses article_image.php
If I copy the URL for image display, I get the jpg source instead of the picture
as if the mimetype is being read
jonnyb: polom all
uSlacker: sounds like a server setup thing
uSlacker: in what area?
jonnyb: mime types maybe?
chealer: polom
jonnyb: hi chealer
chealer: hi jonnyb :-)
uSlacker: jonnyb: thi sis shared hosting :-)
and it has caused several issues so far
jonnyb: what does the browser say the thing is (going directly) - like in firebug etc
chealer: uSlacker: what do you mean by the jpg source?
uSlacker: chealer: lots of jibberish text starting with ???? JFIF...
jonnyb: I need to look
jonnyb: Chrome says Resource interpreted as image but transferred with MIME type App/octet-stream
chealer: uSlacker: OK. so you mean the MIME type seems wrong?
uSlacker: indeed
chealer: uSlacker: can you reproduce that on other Tiki 5 installs?
uSlacker: obviously other images display fine
Let me look
jonnyb: i get those "interpreted as image but transferred with MIME type App/octet-stream" msgs all the time in safari/chrome, but they usually load ok
chealer: jonnyb: as it's a script, I'm wondering how server setup could cause that
uSlacker: oh. so you get that with Chrome? does it work with other browsers?
uSlacker: no. In IE it shows the broken graphic too
firefox appears to ignore the image
Sorry - firefox shows the alt text
chealer: I get the right content type in my 5.x install
jonnyb: question for you, about how long would it take to uniformize toolbars for posting a forum topic and for replying in a topic?
jonnyb: no idea really - they're not the same?
uSlacker: I dont see any errors using firebug, but I'm not much of an expert with it
you can look at it here: http://s343295821.onlinehome.us/tiki-5.3/tiki-index.php
jonnyb: you have snow? ;)
uSlacker: we plan to!
this iwill be a new service for employees and a way I was able to sneak in tiki
but it is running as a shared host and it has cuased a couple issues
jonnyb: are filegal etc images ok? (wiki/tracker attachments as well)
***: redflo has left
chealer: jonnyb: no, the toolbar to post is complete and wiki-like, but for replies it's minimal. http://irc.tiki.org/irclogger_log/tikiwiki?date=2010-09-20,Mon&sel=380#l376
uSlacker: I just browsed the file gallery and it is not showing images, just broken ones
If this doesn't work, it is not the end of the world, but it would be nice to figure out
chealer: uSlacker: so you have a general problem with image. is GD working?
uSlacker: that's tested during install, correct?
I recall passing all the tests
tiki-install says GD is working
jonnyb: chealer: (sorry - child crisis distractions here) - the simple one is the comments toolbar - you can customise both to be what you want in toolbars admin (forum and forum comments)
uSlacker: is there a difference between images stored in the database and ones stored as files?
(wondering if it's an encoding issue - shudder...)
uSlacker: how do I tell?
chealer: jonnyb: yeah, I noticed but I think a lot of installs would want to do that. can you give an order of magnitude of time needed to change it by default?
uSlacker: I have an image om the logo that is saved as a file in /img
that works
