[14:55] <robertplummer> a user I mean
[14:56] <robertplummer> I was thinking that the $user variable should have this information, but it didn't
[14:56] <lphuberdeau> $user is just the name
[14:57] <lphuberdeau> permissions depend on what
[14:57] <robertplummer> yea... I know that know ;)
[14:57] <ricks99> you need the user's *group*
[14:57] <robertplummer> I mean groups, not permissions
[14:57] <robertplummer> beat me to it
[14:57] <lphuberdeau> Perms::get( ... ) will provide an accessor containing the applicable permissions for a given scope
[14:57] <robertplummer> example for user?
[14:57] <lphuberdeau> for a specific user?
[14:58] <lphuberdeau> by default it will give it for the current user

[14:58] <robertplummer> is "wiki page" a group?
[14:59] <lphuberdeau> no, it's an 'object type'
[14:59] <robertplummer> How to you call Perms?
[14:59] <robertplummer> $Perms ?

[15:08] <robertplummer> what do you think lphuberdeau ?
[15:09] <lphuberdeau> you can get the global groups using Perms::getInstance()->getGroups()
[15:09] <lphuberdeau> global groups being the user's
[15:10] <lphuberdeau> not sure there is a get method on the accessor

[15:23] <luciash> http://doc.tiki.org/PluginTrackerFilter
[15:23] <ricks99> y, they will customize the returned *list* from the filter. but i want to customize the *form* created by the filter
[15:24] <ricks99> currently, tiki puts each field in a new row in a table (unless you have the "all in one row" option)
[15:24] <ricks99> this makes for VERY long forms, especially if there a lot of simple check boxes

[16:15] <luciash> ricks99: you could achieve that by using the csv type of list of the trackerlist but then you'd need to take care of rendering of all the values as they would be raw csv values in the pretty tracker template
[16:16] <luciash> in trunk i will add the third param to the user selector options to allow rendering the user login raw
[16:17] <ricks99> hm... possibly. right now i have a custom tpl with a much of {if $page eq .....} statements.
[16:18] <ricks99> Q: is it better to use {if} {elseif} .... {/if} or create an array of possible page names and then itterate through the array?
[16:18] <luciash> as it is now hardcoded with username modifier in templates/tracker_item_field_value.tpl

[18:09] <jared___> hey all--I don't understand the file lock functionality in the file gallery . . .
[18:09] <jared___> it seems to have no effect at all.
[18:09] <jared___> I'm interested in the ability to check out, and then check in documents

[22:28] <Ramirez> No one avaible?

[22:30] <Ramirez> I want to export a tracker to excel per sql-querry but i dont know how -.- i dont get the right syntax where can i find it?
[22:42] <lphuberdeau> isn't there an export feature?
[22:43] <lphuberdeau> that query is bound to be nasty
[22:44] <Ramirez> the export feature works, but i want to have the export more directly e.g. excel fetchs the data and updates a diagramm
[22:44] <lphuberdeau> the export feature probably does it by looping
[22:45] <lphuberdeau> can't excel open a remote file?
[22:46] <Ramirez> i dont know
[22:47] <lphuberdeau> exporting using SQL would require a join per field
[22:47] <Ramirez> the export function is also kind of buggy, thought i could avoid the problems by adressing the database
[22:48] <Ramirez> seems i don't know enough about sql querrys and this kind of stuff ^^
[22:48] *** rtdos has joined #tikiwiki
[22:50] <Ramirez> i thought i might find the querry in the trackerlib so i can just copy it
[22:53] <Ramirez> guess i got to learn some more sql to handle it... thx
