2- May be something known and somebody working on,  when a text  (copied from a simple text) the "source" button shows the source, but without changing anything you don't get back the text content (original breaks of lines are deleted - the problem of the tikiwiki format for split of lines, but the break into the original wysiwyg should not be deleted by the change of editor why not...
...translate into tiki line breaks that are html <br />  should be introduce before copying into the "source"). If you introduce manually the break are shown but the second time they are crashed again.
3- May be something known and somebody working on :  if into the text copied they are keywords like BUG they become links [BUG] they should not. So if the [] are suppressed they will not reaper.

<luciash< I am developing several enhancements and tracking bugs, so I know well the use of the option. My question must be interpreted into the development context.
More there was a bug into the treatment of the strings which introduces a CR into the subject line, this was breaking the normal flow of the mail and the end of the mail was displayed as text...
So I develop a new version which :
1- Puts the <!-- TPL.....> as a header ofr the text and <!-- /TPL ... > as a footer.
2- Suppress for the mails the same into the subject line of the mail which is completely without interest in my opinion and against the object of the feature
3- A possibility is farther to introduce a tikitag with this information not only for test but always (or optionally) into the mail header RFC5322 and MIME without affecting the display but very useful to debug (when the message has errors of content or trnaslation, editing the source shows the TPL name). This is my proposal. I can develop and offer a these separate options : tikitest for...
...HTML sources, tikitest for mails with three values "display" or "hidden" or "none".

I updated a Tiki 4 site to trunk, and everything went smoothly.
About the login module, though, I think we need a new "siteheader_login" module (or similar name) that retains the smaller layout of the Tiki 6 site header login form.
Also a "siteheader_login_popup" module, to keep the Fivealive-style popup.

I've got a really dumb Q : I'm still running 3.3 (yeah, I know...) but now I have time to update my server. But want to get rid of all the errors before doing so.
Because everything was working fine, never really looked into the error.log file... but every request seems to trigger a reference to /styles/transitions/1.9to3.3.css which doesn't exist.
shoud I just rename the 1.9to3.0.css which is contained in the 3.3 tar.gz install package to 1.9to3.3.css?

In Eatlon, these are styled together (#tiki-top and a second "wrapper" div inside tiki-top enable the dark background image).

that's why it's clipped: it's missing the div within #tiki-top.

the class/element names can be changed of course, but anyway that background treatment needs two nested divs.
just changing #tiki-top .wrapper to #tiki-top .role_navigation seems to fix it for me

I have a mysql query that takes 0.0005 seconds to run on a local system, I have a system that is right next to it that runs the same query, but connects to the first system to run it.  The latter takes 5 seconds to connect using mysql_connect while using an ip address.  What can I do to make it faster?
I don't think it is DNS because first off, it is an ip address, and secondly, DNS seems to work fine in the building.
I've lost about 25% of my hair and it is accelerating, anyone have a clue?

Both machines have php, the one that is slow is a phone server and the query is for caller id, the other system is their crm.
I've not tried to connect to the phone server from the crm server.

Possibly, but it is a stock ubuntu server with mysql installed.
It has been super fast, we upgraded from a windows box that was slower than a turtle.

I just bent the rules with it, I'm not a network analyst.  I brought the query to the crm machine and a simple file_get_contents on the pbx phone server.

I'm new, need help ... in what directory are uploaded images stored?  I can't get image to view for anonymous on homepage, so I'm going to give a path to the image and try to use standard html but I can't find the dir for files I've uploaded through cms.  Is it a trick?

check the premissions for the Anonymous group. sounds like you didn't grant permission to view or download images

I agree.  a group needs permissions.  so there there a way to give anon permission to see only one image?  Or do I need to use html and an image not in the cms gallery?  Sorry if I'm sounding confuddling.  a new cms can be a tad strange.
if anon knows to type mydomain.org/tkit-list_gallery.php anon sees the gallery, even it there isn't a menu item for anon.
you can apply permission to an individual object (such as a file). the obect permissions will override the group/global permissions

you can create a single gallery that is vislble to anonymous. then any image you store in that gallery will be visible for everyone
hopefully my site is for a community home owner group. A "strata" ... they want anon to see some pretty pictures but not much else.... more of an intranet is needed.  It sounds like tiki would be a good app.

I also see in the css where the wiki editor children are 99% width, and it looks horrid at fullscreen, if I give the fieldset a width of 100% and give it lets say 5px top margin it looks pretty good, what do you guys think?

Has anyone else experienced a problem downloading PDFs from a file gallery?
I've been all through the docs, forums and bug DB, but thought I would check in before reporting a problem.
1.1mb PDF file, upload_max_filesize=6M, post_max_size=8M -- Upload goes without errors -- download is consistently reported as broken by Adobe Reader.
Other file types have been working okay
