I also suggest breaking up large, multi-purpose commits into separate ones, each for a specific purpose. This will make it easier to keep track of changes and make adjustments, if necessary.

EmmArrBeehi I'm struggling with some search issues and was hoping fro some guidance....
Started to play with the modules search_box and search_wiki_pages but documentation look "thin" Intend pluging them into regular wiki page. Do they have params which control whether the object filter is visible or not
please
[09:24]
luciashEmmArrBee: all supported params are listed on tiki-admin_modules.php when you edit the (to be assigned) module
go to that script directly by putting it in your address bar or via Admin > Modules submenu
[09:27]
EmmArrBeeThanks, was so focused on using them as a plugin forgot about that page...
One isue I'm seeing (and we're on v4.3) is that a search via search_box doesn't seem to find hits within wiki page names, although docs suggest it should.
[09:29]
luciashis it search index or search results ? one needs to refresh the index from time to time while the other is dynamically updated and fulltext
u can set it up on Admin > Search panel iirc
[09:37]
EmmArrBeewas surprised to find second specific module to search wikipage names which works fine [09:37]
luciashye, that one is just for wiki pages [09:38]
EmmArrBeeThink index is OK since search_wiki_pages is working fine [09:38]
luciashalso might be that there were some fixes for it which can result in better search in 6.1 (also LTS) [09:40]
EmmArrBeeYes, I know we need to move up to 6.1. Unfortunately I only admin the Tiki, I don't control our sw version :-( [09:41]
luciashyou can try on demo first before persuading your sysadmin to upgrade [09:42]

I've noticed that the pages listing objects belonging to a category can have "problems" when the page is a bit longer (mine consist out of lots of cyrillic letters, so they get escaped in html output with % etc). Basically, it seems the category page truncates these links which produces links to pages which do not exist. I've also noticed that if I create a st

brankomlphuberdeau: I _think_ that it calls that function on the href, though. [14:29]
lphuberdeauyeah, that's what I noticed
there is a smarty modifier that takes the objectId/itemId and the type and build the URL
in 6 it does not quite accept all object types, but that is improved in 7
[14:29]
brankomI'll probably extend the column in database and regenerate href's as a quick solution. [14:30]
lphuberdeaumodifying the template to use the modifier is quite quick too [14:30]

omstefanovlphubereau: I managed to restore the functioning earlier version of jiamcatt. Had to rename the damaged db to jiamcatt_damaged, then create an empty db called jiamcatt-restored. Then the mysql -uxxx -pxxxx jiamcatt-restored < /home/olaf/Downloads/localhost.sql command finally work, but it retored the db NOT to jiamcatt-restored but to jiamcatt (within jiamcatt and beside the damaged version). [14:43]

omstefanovlhubereau: what I want to do is keep the db which is now called jiamcatt in my local ubuntu (it was created by chealer during TikiFest Berlin in Nov), and load a copy of the current jiamcatt, which I downloaded earlier today. How should my sql command look for that? [14:46]
lphuberdeauuse jiamcatt_20110126 or something as a name
and the command was right I believe
you also need to grant rights on that database for the tiki user
[14:48]
omstefanovlphuberdeau: I tried adding quotes: "mysql -uxxx -pxxxx 'jiamcatt-restored' < /home/olaf/Downloads/localhost.sql" but now get the error msg that "ERROR 1007 (HY000) at line 21: Can't create database 'jiamcatt'; database exists" [14:48]
lphuberdeauooohh
I see
the dump contains the database information
so no matter what you write, that won't take effect
[14:49]
omstefanovsomehow it doesn't take a new name [14:49]
lphuberdeaumake sure you dump that database alone from jiamcatt
otherwise you can modify the dump to strip the create database part
and then there might be some `jiamcatt`. prefix on tables that also need removing
[14:49]
omstefanovI did. I did a special export, and then made it available to ubuntu, following the instructions Rick Sapir has in his essentials. Can't see where I can "drop" the db name. [14:50]

[15:12]
ricks99yes, for new installs, you must change the pw on first login. this is normal
see installation docs for details
[15:14]
luciashrpj8: you need to enable PHP error reporting on the 7th (?) step of the installer gui
rpj8: to see something more meaningful than WSOD
[15:15]
rpj8luciash: isthere anyway i can enable output outside of the gui installer [15:19]
luciashrpj8: yes, but complicated in the db directly... in the tiki_preferences table [15:20]
rpj8woof.
blergh...
any idea what the other options are? or is it just 0, 1, 2, 3
[15:20]
luciashi told you it is complicated... it is soemthing like used in php.ini values for E_ALL etc. but numeric
it can be prolly googled somewhere on php.net site
rpj8: why can't u re-run the tiki-install.php ?
[15:23]
rpj8i chose the "lock out ofinstall" option while installing. i assumed i couldn't [15:24]
