TheOnlyMerlin: Hi there, is anyone real familiar with intertiki? I am getting "XMLRPC Error: 101 - Invalid server key" on all my slaves, even though the keys appear to be exactly correct.
luciash: TheOnlyMerlin: hi
TheOnlyMerlin: it must be some mis-config... it works flawlessly on tiki.org sites
TheOnlyMerlin: what version ?
TheOnlyMerlin: I figured as much. I am running in 6.1. I figured it was something small somewhere. I wasn't able to get it to connect to them at all, until I realized I needed to not have a slash on the end of the host name.
Then it was able to connect, but gave me that error.
So I tried it again on another slave, and it connected fine, but gave me that error. And each has a seperate key that a copy+pasted between the two different configs.
I have been looking at the documentation, looking through various settings and such, and having quite a time tracking down an issue.
***: dabright has joined #tikiwiki
luciash: TheOnlyMerlin: if you read the docs and still it doesn't work for you, then i don't know
TheOnlyMerlin: Hmm.. I thought I saw something about the server side having some kind of issue about changing the key, in that on the server side you needed to recreate the client list entry, rather than change the key. I was concerned that it may be related to something like that. Although I have recreated the entry, to no help.
"As of Tiki 3.0, the InterTiki master must not exist behind an Apache authorization barrier. (htpasswd) As of Tiki 3.0, the InterTiki Master must not use the Web authorization method." Now, these basics might be my problem. I am not sure if these apply to me. I am on Dreamhost, and not on a VPS, shared hosting.
luciash: i don't think so... it is related to the Web HTTP Auth type method of logging in
TheOnlyMerlin: My knowledge of all of this is swiss cheese. So, "must not exist behind an Apache authorization barrier" does not apply to me?
luciash: does not if your master is publicly accessible in browser (no modal dialog popping-up asking for pass required to display the site)
TheOnlyMerlin: Alright. That isn't the case. My next thought is that the ip might be wrong. Against it's recomendations, these are not static ips. I figured it would only be a problem when the ips reset. And the tiki developer site has a temporary fix, which I was figuring I would slap on once I was able to get it to connect in general.
Now, if I can't get this to work correctly, do you have a suggestion for sharing users between my tikis? I see LDAP / PAM / Shibboleth / CAS / Web Server authentication methods.

chealer: elmonty: you have a JavaScript error on http://dev.es3.net/tiki/tiki-admin.php?page=features
setCookieBrowser is not defined
[Break on this error] setCookieBrowser('javascript_enabled', 'y', null, jsedate);
elmonty: where is that function defined?
chealer: elmonty: you have an 500 Internal Server Error on tiki-js.js and other JS files.
elmonty: in tiki-js.js, presumably
elmonty: web.config?
chealer: elmonty: do you Firebug (Firefox extension)?
elmonty: yes
chealer: elmonty: go to the network tab and reload the page, go to the bottom and you'll see the errors in red
luciash: elmonty: yep, i told you to find them all and rename them all ;)
Tiki|bot: New Forum Posts: Problema con le pagine HTML di TikiWiki - http://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=8&comments_parentId=40291
chealer: elmonty: web.config is likely the problem, but we'd need more detailed errors to tell. I think my IIS was more verbose, can't remember if I had to set something.
elmonty: how experienced are you with IIS?
elmonty: somewhat
chealer: elmonty: well surely it has an error log?
elmonty: yes
ok, i renamed all the web.configs...
testing again...
ajax setting is now saving
chealer: the 500 error on tiki-tj.js is gone
elmonty: the 500 errors and JavaScript errors are gone
elmonty: wysiwyg is also saving
chealer: elmonty: I hope the IIS error log shows the detail of the error
elmonty: i'll get to it momentarily
wysiwyg editor is showing
luciash: ricks99_: can u manage to let them know to list us on http://ckeditor.com/who-is-using-ckeditor ?
ricks99_: y, i saw your post on irc history the other day. i sent them an email. waiting
chealer: elmonty: AFAIR nothing was fixed in web.config files after 6.1
luciash: ricks99_: great! tnx :)
elmonty: Here's the IIS log for tiki_js.js:
2011-02-01 18:58:09 10.20.40.11 GET /tiki/lib/tiki-js.js - 80 - 24.203.176.82 Mozilla/5.0+(X11;+U;+Linux+i686;+fr;+rv:1.9.2.12)+Gecko/20101030+Iceweasel/3.6.13+(like+Firefox/3.6.13) 500 19 13 61
not very helpful
several other files have similar entries
chealer: elmonty: indeed
elmonty: but i think we are in business, if not totally secure
can i buy you a beer?
chealer: elmonty: http://help.godaddy.com/article/3430#IIS6 may help
elmonty: I would rather buy you one if you can get the 500 error message :-)
elmonty: i'll see what i can do
jonnyb: off now - more tomorrow

elmonty: i just got a bunch of tiki system errors when saving Look & Feel prefs.
this is on the fresh install (tiki2) with web.configs instact
Data too long for column 'comment' at row 1 The query was: insert into `tiki_actionlog` (`action`, `object`, `lastModif`, `user`, `ip`, `comment`, `objectType`, `client`) values(?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?)
this error is repeated several times
it looks like it is recursive, as each repetition has more backslashes

elmonty: here's the error that appears in the firebug response:
500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.
not helpful
chealer: elmonty: no, Firebug is just useful to notice the 500 errors. to debug them I go to the JS file directly (lib/tiki-js.js)
elmonty: iis can't find the JS file because of the web.config
chealer: elmonty: could you paste the whole SQL error at some place (like a pastebin)?
CIA-83: tikiwiki: 03robertplummer * r32348 10/trunk/ (4 files in 3 dirs): [FIX] Refactored a bunch of code so that we can now view and save from csv spreadsheet files.
chealer: elmonty: I think it's finding it but some rule must prevent it from being served
elmonty: right
i am trying to reproduce the SQL error
sorry, i can't reproduce it

elmonty: i have a wysiwyg editing question: When I press return, I get a skipped line. If I press Shift-Return, I get a normal line break. But when I save and view the page, all those normal line breaks show up as paragraph breaks (skipped lines)
I have wiki paragraph formatting on and allow line breaks is on, too
luciash: elmonty: it is a bug
elmonty: ok
any workarounds?
luciash: try using the wiki syntax for line break: %%%
elmonty: thx
awesome
except the next time i edit the page, it reverts :(
luciash: the wysiwyg in 6.x is not perfect yet... hopefully it will significantly improve in Tiki7
but we need your bug reports and collect them and fix carefully all the issues
if u get some spare time, please consider submitting them all on to http://dev.tiki.org
elmonty: you guys have been awesome, i am very impressed with tiki and the support
luciash: nice to hear that, thanks
elmonty: you never treated me like "Don't you know how to admin a web server??" like some other wiki authors have
you're my 3rd wiki in the last week and i love tiki
-: ricks99_ also thinks tiki has the best community
elmonty: the installation was simple and easy (other than my IIS issues)
luciash: elmonty: i appreciate that you didn't go nuts and didn't give up while experiencing these issues with web.config ;)
elmonty: iyou're welcome
ricks99_: ** Note to anyone listed on tiki.org/Consultants ** Be sure to create your new profile on http://info.tiki.org/tiki+service+provider as i will be switching everything over later today

CIA-83: tikiwiki: 03robertplummer * r32349 10/trunk/lib/sheet/grid.php: [MOD] I've commented out the ability to save from csv files, it is just too dangerous.
luciash: robertplummer: too dangerous ?
robertplummer: Yea, I didn't think about the repercussions at first.
You could open a php file, damage tiki and then compromise security.
luciash: ah, cannot it be checked against mime type or something ?
robertplummer: Possibly, but it really violates the tiki model. We need to use it with file gallery.
luciash: alright
lphuberdeau: even reading might cause issue... if someone points to db/local.php they can get quite some privilege
