deadcom: hey tiki people... This error is happening ona new installation of 6.1: Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 90 seconds exceeded in tikilibcoreZendSession.php on line 480
marclaporte: on Windows?
deadcom: it's happening when I try and create a new article [01:17] <deadcom> yeah IIS
radek82: theres your problem
iis
deadcom: no choice
:/
marclaporte: which version of IIS?
deadcom: i have to run asp.net on the same host
marclaporte: Did you install via WebPI?
deadcom: im not actualy sure
i didn't do the install myself.. im asking on behalf of the person that did
why do you ask?
I was in here last night and I asked about an error i had using tiki 5.3... I was given the advice to upgrade to 6.1, so that's what was done today (by another fellow)
chealer: deadcom: when is it happening?
deadcom: Hey Bob,
I’m having an issue with saving a new wiki page, I can create the page, I just can’t save it. When I do it gives me the following error
‘The page cannot be found
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.’
I’m logged in as admin so tiki permissions shouldn’t be an issue… on the ftp I have read/write permissions set (but not execute)
When I try and create a new article it gives me an error:
‘Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 90 seconds exceeded in D:WebRootDomainsnwtspeciesatrisk.cawwwroottikilibcoreZendSession.php on line 480’
Can you have a look and see what might be the issue? All the login and passwords should be the same as before
Thanks!
^^ that's the email i just got... sorry about flooding
chealer: marclaporte: hum. any idea if/where we have links to that?
radek82: guys, trackerlist is truncating some of my textarea fields, can i force it to show the full field? or do i need to go to tpl?
chealer: deadcom: can you reproduce these problems?
marclaporte: chealer: I don't understand the question
radek82: truncate at how many chars?
radek82: 50 or so
1. Boil 48 Liters of Water
2. Turn off heat & add malt extracts, g...
64
chealer: marclaporte: that URL, where did Google get it?
deadcom: chealer: I'm just attempting to.. standby :)
chealer: marclaporte: I can reproduce on my local 6.x install.
/var/www/tiki/6.x/lib/wiki/wikilib.php : 464 -> query(array ( 'query' => ''select `user`,`attId`,`page`,`filename`,`filesize`,`filetype`,`hits`,`created`,`comment` from `tiki_wiki_attachments` where `page`=? order by `lastModif` asc'', 'values' => 'array (0 => 'Instructions')', 'numrows' => '-1', 'offset' => '0', 'reporterrors' => '', ))
I'll be half afk
deadcom: chealer: ok, I'm getting a different error, I get 'Page Cannot be Displayed' when I try to create a new wiki page.... right when I hit Save. Doesn't time out, just goes immediately to page cannot be displayed. the url is /tiki/New+page+TEST on the page that fails

maybe chealer is in a good mood :-) and good a check for IIS and prevent ShortURLs of being activated when using IIS
deadcom: hmm, im totally new to tiki wiki (as of about 2 days ago) is there a knowledgebase you are refering to?
marclaporte: deadcom: sorry for rocky start
deadcom: lol, no, i was originally tasked to move the wiki to a new server
it didn't transfer too well, i imagine a big part of the problem was the short urls thing... anyway, we now have the new version installed after upgrading
marclaporte: oh, perhaps it was Apache before?
deadcom: yes it was
marclaporte: ahhhhhh
ok, so it's a rarer occurence....
deadcom: my job is actually more to integrate this asp.net application (endangered species infobase) into the tiki wikki
so i was hoping I could plant it in an iframe on a page... do you know if there is anything preventing me from achieving that?
an iframe within the tiki site, that is

jonnyb: hi xavi - how's things?
xavi: he he , a bit busy these days (just started my 3rd course yesterday)
and how are you doing?
ragrding my work at uni with Tiki and PluginR, I'm right now somewhat prevented to use all the new improvements that robertplummer made to trunk, since smarty templates in wiki pages don't workin trunk since that change from nyloth
so I'm working in proposals/6x for work, without the improvements (so far) that I've paid for... :-/
that's partly why I'm suggesting that codemirror and those little things added to spreadsheets can be added to proposals/6x at some point in the near future (after 6.2, whenever... for 6.3, 6.4 or whenever, that getting in proposals/6x branch at some point)
jonnyb: yes, that change definitely didn't preserve (or even respect) the environment
***: chibaguy has joined #tikiwiki
ChanServ sets mode: +o chibaguy
xavi: yes, I agree with that opinion
jonnyb: nyloth said he'd add a pref when he can...
chibaguy: pooloom
jonnyb: hi chibaguy
chibaguy: hi jonnyb
xavi: yes, that's why I'm waiting for that... (looking forward to his improvement of his previous commit)
hi chibaguy
chibaguy: and hi xavi
jonnyb: i'm thinking of using trunk now for a couple of new tiki sites - can't face not having the modules everywhere and the theme generator (even if it's more of a theme tweaker currently)
xavi: so he's the bottleneck for both that and 6.2 :P best be nice to him!
chibaguy: I know what you mean, jonnyb, but the module parameters aren't quite working, are they?
xavi: he he, yes, jonnyb :-)
jonnyb: no? like what chibaguy? i fixed the theme one
xavi: chibaguy: a quick question for you: I was looking for hte page about using divs instead ofsplit to have columns in a page
jonnyb: (the code just wasn't there)
xavi: and I couldn't find it on themes.t.o yesterday
any link?
chibaguy: jonnyb, I'll try clearing all my modules and parameters and starting fresh. Right now I have a mismatch between what is shown in the module edit form (which is correct in the db) and what is shown in the assigned modules column.
jonnyb: really?
could be a cache thing
chibaguy: ....maybe due to configuring over several updates or something.
well, I'll start fresh and give it all a try again.
jonnyb: my popup module edit form was definitely buggy at some points, so may have messed stuff up
chibaguy: xavi, it was called "floated box" or something like that.
xavi: ok, I'll search again
thks
jonnyb: at least it's quite quick now to re-create them all
xavi: and if I find it, I'll ad a link to that page from some other linked page from the homepage
chibaguy: http://themes.tiki.org/Floated+box+demo
xavi: ah, thks chibaguy !
chibaguy: Actually, i'd like to have a more comprehensive 'grid system' for tiki 7. Not much css needed actually.
it'd be useful in wiki text areas and the horizontal module areas.
etc
and maybe would enable more nicely styled pages.
I'll make a demo page somewhere and see what people think.
luciash: nice, i'll be 300 000 hours old pretty soon and i've done nothing significant for "the better world" yet :-p
chibaguy: floated columns are cool, only disadvantage is you cannot calculate them easily to have the same heights as with table based split plugin
ok, i'll be quiet again ;)
xavi: :-)
thanks for tip, luciash
chibaguy: I added the link to the horizontal menu in themes.t.o
new pages like that, you can link them to ((Tricks)), so that they are dyanmically displayed from that page (added to the menu also)
hth
luciash: that disadvantage could be maybe "cured" using jQuery height calculation
xavi: split plugin is buggy: when combined with plugin code, you get <br/> shown in the content of the plugin code displayed... :-/
luciash: oh :(
xavi: example: http://doc.tiki.org/PluginR#Example_5:_adding_params_to_the_graphs
luciash: the link ends with the colon in my irssi :(
but i know how to workaround ;)
chibaguy: jonnyb, here's a problem I see: I delete a menu from topbar modules and clear the cache...
jonnyb: hmm?
(i'm still replying to your email about renaming module(s))
chibaguy: ...then I assign a new Menu module and fill in the parameters. When it shows up in the assigned modules, it has parameters "mode=popup" and "nobox=y"
These are parameters I've used for the login form. I don't know what happened to the menu parameters I input.
clearing the cache doesn't help.
luciash: oh, it's really hard to login with Chromium via the popup login box
chibaguy: luciash, do you mean in tiki 6? or trunk?
luciash: on doc.t.o currently
jonnyb: chibaguy: ok, i'll try and recreate (in a few mins, need to clear current stack)
luciash: chibaguy: don't worry about that... might be Chromium bug
chibaguy: luciash, i have srware iron (chromium) and it seems to be ok. the popup is in focus as long as the mouse is over it.
luciash: chibaguy: it did disappear with every typed letter for me
chibaguy: until i started typing really fast
:-p
chibaguy: luciash, I need to redo your fivealive login popup details. I kinda wiped them away in my 'simplifying' effort.
no problem for chromium here. are you using it on linux or windows?
***: lphuberdeau has joined #tikiwiki
luciash: linux
chibaguy: my details ?
feel free to do them better :) i kinda gave up after struggling with different width of the "Login" tra strings in different languages
chibaguy: well, the radius corners anyway
ah

chibaguy: ok

luciash: xavi: somehow the aliases don't work on that page
xavi: oups, confirmed, luciash : http://doc.tiki.org/PluginRR not found
:-/
alias links are buggy still, and also on doc.t.o (I thought they were only in some of my sites)
luciash: it worked for me... maybe some pref is missing ? iirc it needs backlinks, semantic links, ... something else ?
chibaguy: jonnyb, assigning a menu module to page top (first time ever I assigned one there) worked ok. But assigning it to topbar, where there have been many menu assignments, always gets messed up, with old info showing instead.
luciash: xavi: Semantic links is off on d.t.o
xavi: ???
I wonder why...
jonnyb: but if you unassigned the stuff in the topbar it will have gone - there's no "history" of that stuff
xavi: maybe a side effect of automatic updates to db?...
luciash: xavi: no idea
xavi: neither do I
chibaguy: jonnyb, that's the mystery, all right.
xavi: can you re-enalbe if you are already there?
luciash: xavi: sure
xavi: thks :-)
jonnyb: chibaguy: the only special thing about dragging a new module into the top or the bottom is that it automaticcaly adds nobox=y to the params
luciash: xavi: done
jonnyb: oh yes - see what you mean (you did topbar didn't you chibaguy? :P )
chibaguy: I'm not dragging, I'm assigning using the select gadget under "Assign new module".
But I enter the usual menu parameters and when I save, the page comes back with "theme=xtratoveil.css nobox=y" only, which is incomplete and wrong (I didn't indicate a theme).
jonnyb: same thing happend for drag for me - search wiki ended up with remember=y
luciash: xavi: see, still don't work... there is some stupid dependency on another feature i think
chibaguy: hmm.
jonnyb: ok, i'll debug sometime (when i'm not already debugging something else)
chibaguy: apparently. Ok, thanks.
luciash: xavi: i bet it is "Similar (like pages)"
xavi: lets try this
xavi: yes, it must be this: afaik, you need backlinks on, and similar pages on (I wonder why this last one, since then you get the similar pages link somewhere in the page, afair, even if youu don't want it)
luciash: xavi: omg, still not working :-/
xavi: arghhhh, feature banning is defective in a 5.x site in one server, but I could reproduce the same missbehavior in a tiki6 (proposals/6.2...) in another different tiki site!
once I add a rule, if I click to edit it, the rule is deleted!

xavi: radek82: my experience is that proposals/6x is more "production ready" than 6.1
luciash: 6.2 proposals is fine for me too
radek82: confirmed SEF URL's as cause
thanks guys :)
xavi: :-) np
thanks to sylvieg for fixing it ! :-)
radek82: im still gonna do a fresh 6.2 install and migrate manually
this thing has been updated too many times for a production box
i figure once every 2 years isn't so bad to rebuild it
xavi: radek82: please, pay attention to the documentation on upgrading from previous to 5.1 to after 5.1 (encoding issue)
follow these steps and you should be fine with the upgrade:
radek82: xavi: UTF? i did
this is production so i read very carefully
i still have good ol 4.2 incase i muck something up :P
xavi: http://doc.tiki.org/Upgrade#Fix_the_encoding_issue
radek82: yep, thats the one
xavi: I would suggest that you don't attempt to fix the encoding issue by hand (there are 3 different things to fix, and one of them is not clear how to do by hand)
luckily lphuberdeau solved the whole issue by means of improving the tiki-install.php script! :-)
radek82: yes xavi i ran the upgrade through tiki-install as the docs mentioned
im no cowboy :)
xavi: the 3 steps I mean, not just run the tiki-install.php
anyway, good if you don't have issues after the upgrade with file download corrpution, etc.
-: xavi back to work in other things

Got a Tiki installed for an internal support team at one of my clients in Belgium. LDAP-Connected.
marclaporte: congrats philippeback!
philippeback: Also went to FOSDEM this week end, Tiki tshirt and all and gave around some promosheets
Next year, we must secure a slot. Too bad I was drowning in work and didn't noticed the date until too late...
marclaporte: how many promo sheets?
philippeback: I had 50, remains 20 or so
marclaporte: This is very good!
philippeback: Also went to the KDE and Mozilla booths to show off Tiki. With the mozilla people I showed the i18n site and translation facility in Tiki. A i18n guy from mozilla was there and he had some kind of blast showing thaT.
Tiki was quite known but capabilities not so much.

And this one is about to go live: http://tiki.socius.be/Start
Fully custom look, remade menus with CSS, fully translated in dutch/flemish. Uses trackers, user tracker, CMS, Tiki, Tags, Galleries, Images, ... even some event registration code I've added. This one will be a highly visible site since it deals with the work of adults in the whole flemish region.
chealer: so "log in" is dutch/flemish. I'm not as ignorant as I thought :-)
philippeback: great look indeed
philippeback: yeah sure. Look is done by RamDesign, a local firm.
Now that they are tiki-aware, I'll have work for them :-)
marclaporte: philippeback: super!
philippeback: Investment is paying off :-)
I have started doing videos on my blog and I'll do some on Tiki. In fact, Tiki is going to be my plaform for supporting my coaching work. Is there any progress on the LMS and DMS fronts lately? How's DMS going?

BTW, who uses a Mac to work on Tiki ?
I used my PC so far but the Mac may provide some interesting integrations with media creation.

@marclaporte: yep. I will have to work with DMS features because there is a ton of doc to store and index in that project with the internal Tiki.

But I realize that when I do help people get up to speed, things go fast. When left to their own devices, they stall.
Maybe should we think about some kind of hosted Tiki facility. Anybody willing to contribute funding?

quick question
how cna I scape html tags in smarty templates?
sylvieg: >... ???
xavi: I have some R code in a text area field in a tracker...
ah, good! thanks for tip sylvieg
I knew it had to be easy... :-)
***: ricks99 has quit IRC (Quit: Page closed)
xavi: mmm
but the thing is that I have this code in a tracker field:
sylvieg: I bet it does not work :-(
xavi: targets<-read.table(file=file.path(dataDir, targetsFileName), header=T, sep=" ")
and when show that in a wiki page (trackerlist plugin using a wiki page as template, etc, in proposals/6x)...
luciash: xavi: ~gt~
xavi: ... it breaks just after "targets"
sylvieg: what type is the field? textarea?
xavi: so, it seems that "<-" breaks the display of the content of that field
but that is real R syntax, which is stored in text area field in a tracker...
so my question is: how can I allow users to write or paste real R code in a text area, and have that code properly displayed in a wiki page?
luciash: ah, u need to put |escape modifier on that $f_XX then
in the PTT wiki page
***: lphuberdeau has quit IRC (Read error: Connection reset by peer)
sylvieg: {$f_xxx|escape:html} ??? see http://www.smarty.net/docsv2/en/language.modifier.escape.tpl

xavi: congrats luciash for that new role, btw
***: GillesMM has quit IRC (Remote host closed the connection)
marclaporte: yay luci!
xavi: well, that kind of partly worked {$f_xxx|escape:html}. I see , in addition, that I need to escape wiki somehow also
I mean, this syntax in that text area:
stopifnot(require(limma, lib.loc = mylib))
which is also R syntax, gets converted into some weird <a href> tag
<p> stopifnotlimma, lib.loc = mylib<a href="tiki-editpage.php?page=limma%2C+lib.loc+%3D+mylib" title="Create page: limma, lib.loc = mylib" class="wiki wikinew require">?</a>
sylvieg: {literal}???
luciash: xavi: hehe, that's the alias syntax ;)
xavi: well, I tried literal in the template, but that prevented the {$f_xxx|escape:html} from being parsed
yes, luciash, I thought so :-)
ok, I'll go the easy way (disabling alias links)
luciash: xavi: can u nest it ?
xavi: anyway, besides that, I got some other line broken
this syntax:
targets <- read.table(file=file.path(dataDir, targetsFileName), header=T, sep=" ")
.... ah well, it might also be due to alias links... ok, I'll disable it first
bbl (dinner time). Hopefully, I'll test later
***: GillesMM has joined #tikiwiki
xavi: back quickly
sylvieg, fyi: I also tried adding the {literal} r syntax {/literal} tags inside the text area content , and not in the wiki page template
but no success: the first literal tag is shown in the wiki page but not the second...
sylvieg: fast food...
xavi: because it stops with the <- syntax
he he
nope, dinner not ready yet
(I just had the table ready - I'm not the cook today :-) )
luciash: perhaps we need to add :wiki to the escape modifier then ;)
sylvieg: and <- breaks also ??
xavi: didn't try: I'll try right now
luciash: sylvieg: it is the problem now (( ))
sylvieg: i guess the escape:html worked fine for the first problem with <-
