ok I have  aproblem which is isrritating and rendering my entire tiki-wiki sight useless, as the admin with full powers over everything, I "do not have permission to edit this page" keeps poping up any time I try to edit a wiki page.

there is an incremental patch that contains only the affected files you can just overwrite the installation with, then run the installer and you should be done

caught something just there, the release process does not strip the comments from the language files in the incremental script

chealer: yes it does, it uses svn to identify the modified files, however the comment stripping happens during the packaging

I had made a separate account for additional admin, I can log into it, but have no admin rights

I can access it from the db of course, checked my tables and reassigned perms, but still nothing

beleive me I am ready to junk the whole thing and start from scratch, but a month's worth of work is tied up in it
I even tried repalcing the .htaccess and webconfig files, thinking something got corrupted, but that just lead to blank  or error 401
usually 500 means some server config is not right or wrong read permissions on some files/dirs
yeah, I went through the file perms and made sure they were correct, as for server config, I don't know where to go for that other than the host, and they say it's my wesite issue, not the server.
if it happened like you said "BOOM" (over night) i would ask server admin first

In a TPL file, how would I go about checking if a user is a member of a specified group? Is there a $user variable that holds that data?
I prefer having conditionals based on permissions in most cases

change the scope, why do members of that group need to see that list differently?

Hello. I have upgraded from tiki 4.2 to 6.2. Now I am unable to login. I have changed the admin password in the DB, to no avail. I observe that when I type the wrong password, I get an error message in tiki-login_scr.php, when I type the right one I dont get an error message but stay on the page and do not get logged in. Any hint swhat that could be? I stored the session info in the DB in the old system. maybe the problem stem
