On Mac i use BBedit, Fireworks and photoshop… work perfect
if you have ssh access (to a shell) you should be able to use sftp also

yes, i never worked out how that helped - wasted quite a bit of time trying to get the ajax debugger to co-operate with the php debugger (just didn't)

I have a problem
my first public running site - since 2 weeks "on air"
now, since today, users cannot log in from the internet explorer -> Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 337 bytes) in htdocs ... and so on
But from Firefox it works fine

from FF I can login and administrate - from IE 6, 7, 8 the site crashes after click on the login button
Has anybody an idea?

another problem, that might be related: I made more than one tiki 6.1 installs recently and all the time I have a database versions problem, wich I cannot get rid of
but for the two weeks login did work - as far as I know - from every browser (IE, FF, Chrome, Safari - most versions since ~2002)
and chealer: in the last couple of days (perhabs all two weeks?) - the site was reluctant to be loaded from IE6 at all
but today it is possible to access with IE7 and IE8 but as said - login crashes to white page with Fatal Error notice
chealer: I did increase memory from 64 MB up to 256MB and nothing - still the same fault - only in IE

fabricius: no. I would recommend to upgrade in any case, if you meant how to do it, backing up DB is quite optional for a minor upgrade
chealer: thx - but in the case today, with unexpected mysterious faults ... my DB has kind of "overhangs" in some of the tables ... I do not know what that is ...
I just downloaded the db and make a fresh install with a new (backup imported) DB

I backuped the database and did put it in a new one
then I made a fresh install of tiki 6.2 and connected it to the database (manually put local.php in the folder /db)
then started the installer and => use existing DB => upgrade DB
.
first login with firefox - fine, but still the notice: "database versions problem ..."
second login with Internet Explorer - crash: Fatal Error: Allowed memory exhausted

Hi everyone.  I have been using tikiwiki 6 now for a few months and then the servier response became slow for all the sites I have on the hosting company.  They did a server reload and now I am getting a 500 error on the tikiwiki index page.  Any ideas?

fabricius:  Yes.  It worked until this morning when I reported the slow server response.  The admin at the hosting company said she did a reload and then I started getting the 500 error.

as far as i know, a server reload should have no more effect than clearing caches and such
