amex: Hi guys, I am new to TIKI and hence am encountering a few problems while designing my website. I want to add a selection wizard, which would let users answer 7 or 8 questions and depending on the answers, it will automatically give a selection that is best fit for the answers that they have given. It's a little urgent guys, so I would really appreciate your help. Thanks
ricks99: can probably do this with a series of trackers
amex: Sorry ricks99...I am actually really new and don't have too much experience in the same. ...Could you be elaborate that a bit
ricks99: can use trackers to build forms. see docs for details http://doc.tiki.org/Trackers
amex: Thnks...I will surely go through it..

shotintoeternity: Hi everyone, I'm working on configuring a wiki and having problems with how modules/menus are displayed
<br> You guys are a huge help and was wondering if someone might be able to help configure this
<br> I'm trying to make it so that anonymous users are able to see a module in the left hand sidebar but not see the admin module
<br> What happens is when I log in with the admin credentials, I can see the admin module and the new module I created
<br> When I'm anonymous, I can only see the title of the module I created and not the admin module
luciash: what do you want to achieve ?
shotintoeternity: Sorry, I meant menu not module
   <br> Hi luciash
<br> I want to have a sidebar that anonymous visitors can view on the wiki
<br> But right now anonymous users can't see it
luciash: make sure u asign the module to anonymous
shotintoeternity: I'm almost positive it's assigned to anonymous
<br> I can see the title of the module
   luciash: ok then
shotintoeternity: The menus aren't showing up though
luciash: what does the module contain ?
shotintoeternity: But when I log in, the menus show up
<br> It contains two different menus right now
<br> One is called "Main Page" that is just a reference to the index page
   luciash: {menu ...} ?
shotintoeternity: Sorry, I'm a little unclear on the differences between modules and menus
luciash: what module is it ?
   <br> custom ?
shotintoeternity: The module is called "Translation Nexus"
   <br> Yeah, it's a custom module
luciash: and when u see the code of the module, what does it contain ?
shotintoeternity: The groups it's assigned to are admins, anonymous, and registered
   luciash: i mean content
<br> u can check the content of the module on the second tab
   <br> by editing it
shotintoeternity: It contains two links below it
   <br> For instance
   <br> Right now
<br> I see the sidebar "translation nexus" on the left hand side here: http://fictioncircus.com/wiki
<br> It has nothing under it now
<br> But when I log in, I see each of the links under it
luciash: can u paste what it atually contains somewhere ?
   shotintoeternity: Sure
<br> It's attached to the menu called "Nexus Menu"
luciash: is it possible u have nebaled "check the perms of the links" on admin wiki and the pages are not visible to anonymous ?
   <br> s/enabled/nebaled/
shotintoeternity: It shows up with two items under it that link to other parts of the wiki when you log in
   <br> Very possible
   <br> Trying to check
<br> Where can I find "check the perms of the links" option?
<br> PS Thanks for all your help :)
luciash: on the Wiki admin panel i think
shotintoeternity: Is it somewhere specific in the admin panel?
   <br> Sorry, I'm a total newb
luciash: i can have a look
   shotintoeternity: Thanks :)
luciash: cannot find it myself (maybe seen it on future trunk devel)
<br> what was the code in the module content ?
   <br> can u put it on http://pastebin.com/ ?
shotintoeternity: Hi Luciash, just trying to put in the menus
<br> It's short enough that I could post here
<br> Don't know if I'm doing it right
   <br> {menu id=43}{menu id=44}{menu id=188}
<br> I'm trying to use one of them only right now
   <br> I used {menu id=43 type=vert} in the module content
<br> On the page you can see what I'm talking about
   <br> http://fictioncircus.com/wiki
<br> Right now, the "translation nexus" module needs to have menu options under it
<br> Just like the regular menu does
luciash: ah, ok, you use menus then... please make sure, the menu items on tiki-admin_menus.php has nothing assigned or Anonymous assigned for each
   shotintoeternity: Weird
<br> I did that, and it's still not working
<br> I'm not using CMS functionality at all
<br> I assigned anonymous to everything in tiki-admin_menus.php
luciash: if it works for the second "menu", it must be working for the "translation nexus" too
<br> you can also try clear the Modules Cache on Admin &gt; Modules
<br> or make a linebreak between the menus
   <br> gotta go
   <br> bbl
   shotintoeternity: Thanks for your help!
