I have added a php script to handle a form that I use in a custom plugin.

Is this a bug (anybody)? The tracker field 'user selector' has an option "Select list items that will be displayed:" and lists all users. Apparently users be selected on this list to display in the dropdown list for this item. It doesn't work though. All users are listed.
Is this a known problem (branch 7)?
This is when inserting items in the tracker directly, not using plugins.

If I click on the site-title right now, I stay on the page, where I am

ah jonnyb - I guess, I understood now: the site title is loading the homepage of the actual perspective
chibaguy: hi fabricius. That seems right, as the site-title link is set in the .tpl to 'index.php', I think, so it if the perspective has a site index set, it would go there.
jonnyb: i think it just links to "./" - i.e. index.php which will take you to the current homepage

tikiwiki: it's id) I shaved 9% load time off $trklib->field_render_value's load time.
tikiwiki: From 88.23% to 79.29%. This just tells smarty to cache the template.
fabricius: I did solve it now this way: each startpage of a logical "area" has the name: "gm+areahomepagename" and the perspective has the homepage: "areahomepagename" (gm are just the initial characters of the project)
on the perspectives homepages I have always the same redirect to the mainperspective of the project
everywhere in the menus I link to the gm-... startpages, whilst the site-title (respectively a hover-flipping logo) links to the parspective
I just develop a portal-demonstration and the theme and themeoptions on my own website
so I do need more careful setting on perspectives - and learn more about perspectives -> how to use, for what to use and what needs to be extended
I think perspectives are a very great thing and the perspectives redirect is very useful - a perspective control (like theme control) would bring the possibilities to a wast extend
Merbster: fabricius, I am not sure what you mean by perspective control, but there's a plugin that handles the user's change of perspective ?
fabricius, and I wrote something about changing perspective based on the current page's category and category placement (does the containing category have a special plce in the category hirearchy etc).

rodrigo_sampaio: chealer: apparently it is an old problem and the translation for strings with escaped single quotes does not appear in the Tiki interface
chealer: I will check but my guess is that the strings without escaped single quotes were added to language.php files via interactive translation and not get_strings.php
chealer: does that sounds plausible for you?
chealer: hi rodrigo_sampaio
let me paste my question from tuesday: do you know why get_strings ran in r36142 would escape single quotes, but not the one ran in r35838 (for example, "There's no such date as")?
rodrigo_sampaio: If you look at the French file in these 2 revisions, the French file had the example string unquoted initially, get_strings doesn't quote it in r35838, but in r36142 it does
rodrigo_sampaio: chealer: are you sure it was get_strings.php in r35838?
chealer: I will check the files
chealer: rodrigo_sampaio: I have no idea how the strings were added, but I would expect more consistency when get_strings runs
rodrigo_sampaio: chealer: but if we are talking of just a few strings in r35838 they might have been added via interactive translation and not get_strings
chealer: rodrigo_sampaio: now I didn't run any of these, so I don't know how changi did them, indeed, but according to the commit message "[TRA] get_strings FR"
rodrigo_sampaio: chealer: as far as I can tell there is a bug in get_strings.php since 2003 :) check line 506
chealer: rodrigo_sampaio: I don't know how they were added but it's strange that two close runs of get_strings didn't do the same to it
rodrigo_sampaio: chealer: I will check but my theory is that it wasn't get_strings.php who added the strings without escaping single quotes
chibaguy: About my mediaplayer plugin problems I talked about earlier, apparently both the files and the site are screwed up. I tried with new files at a different site and they work ok.
rodrigo_sampaio: chealer: get_strings.php is supposed to remove escapes from singles quotes but it doesn't because line 506 is bugged since 2003
chealer: any way, I will check further and get back to you with more information
chealer: first thing now is to check if get_strings.php indeed added strings without escaping single quotes in r35838
chealer: rodrigo_sampaio: I see the line. what is the bug?
rodrigo_sampaio: chealer: it should be preg_replace("/\'/", "'", $sqword) instead of preg_replace("/\'/", "'", $sqword)
chealer: not the extra slash
backslash I mean
chealer: this line should remove backslashes before single quotes but it doesn't
chealer: rodrigo_sampaio: I feel I'm not being clear, but I do not know about the *addition* of the string. all I know (apparently, from the commit messages), is that get_strings didn't do the same to that string in 2 passes (lets is alone the first time, modifies the second).
rodrigo_sampaio: in any case, if you found on bug on that line, that sounds very promising and worth trying :-)
rodrigo_sampaio: chealer: thanks for clarifying, but I understood what you are saying before.
chealer: what I'm going to do now is check if it was indeed get_strings.php who added the strings without escaping the single quotes in r35838. I don't think so.
chealer: rodrigo_sampaio: r35838 did *not* add the string. it just left it alone
rodrigo_sampaio: chealer: ahh, ok
chealer: http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/tikiwiki/changeset/35838
rodrigo_sampaio: chealer: so still, I will check when this string was added. if it wasn't get_strings.php my guess is probably right
chealer: if it was get_strings.php than I don't what is happening
chealer: vs http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/tikiwiki/changeset/36142/trunk/lang/fr/language.php
rodrigo_sampaio: now there's another fishy thing, this string is present twice in the file as of r35838, once in unused words

rodrigo_sampaio: see the note on http://www.php.net/manual/en/regexp.reference.escape.php

rodrigo_sampaio: chealer: I don't the details but "\'" works for preg_replace() and "'" for str_replace()
chealer: rodrigo_sampaio: FWIW, I don't think preg_replace("/\'/", "'", $sqword) would work
it would do absolutely nothing IIUC (replace a single quote with a single quote)

rodrigo_sampaio: chealer: but it does work :)
chealer: see http://pastebin.com/SJdckPyV
chealer: hum, I see. thanks, I need to check that
rodrigo_sampaio: chealer: yes, I don't understand it as well. Without testing I would say that "/\\'/" would work.
chealer: rodrigo_sampaio: it does do the same thing as yours, apparently
rodrigo_sampaio: chealer: yes, you are right. I haven't tested it before.
chealer: your solution makes sense to me. mine doesn't.
chealer: rodrigo_sampaio: I figured it out. the meaning of a backslash in a string depends on the following character
$pattern = "\\"; is valid
$pattern = "\"; is not, will give you a parse error
rodrigo_sampaio: however, both $pattern = "\/"; and $pattern = "\\/"; are valid as a slash doesn't need to be escaped
IOW, "/" is a backslash followed by a slash, not a uselessly escaped slash
so yeah, your fix would have worked :-)

nkoth: hmm
when I click on Comment say under a wiki page
I see the ajax call, but the response in blank
so nothing happens
chealer: nkoth: I do have a few local modifications though...can you reproduce on demo?
nkoth: will try
chealer, works on demo
chealer: ouch. I don't see which revision demo runs, but at least it's clearly post-Smarty 3 :-P
nkoth: i will try with nothing (testing) template and see if it's a smarty problem

nkoth: anyone with a pretty trcker site with url field and rating field?
in trunk?
(my rating field and url field not appearing) in tiki-view_tracker_item it shows fine but not in pretty trackers
(used to work) maybe another smarty 3 related thing
sylvieg: are teh field public?
nkoth: sylvieg: y
freetags also not appearing
but if it's showing on tiki-view_tracker_item - that is what confuses me
well, these field types all have one thing in common, they display as links
