Hi SJ
SJ-Jay:
Hey :D
is Merb nearby?
yup sitting right next to me.. want him to go online?
would be very cool - would like to chat about the perspective binder
:-D
Hi Merbster
fabricius, you summoned me? :P
aah :) i'll tell him to go online.. but don't take to much of his time! we are very busy atm :)
sure!
we have a deadline in 2 weeks
looool
100 employees are expecting a fully functional system :D
for the perspective binder?
ah
noooo
lol
hehe
for our intranet/project management system
for your intranet at all?
ah yes
wtf
so SJ-Jay and Merbster: I did do some supplements to the file in respect to documentation and make it more for general use (not to the code itself)
even as the code is not at all integrated in Tiki yet, some people would be keen on trying it, so I would like to commit it in trunk
fabricius, I read your email. I haven't reviewed what you done yet (I took the weekend off ;)) I will look at it this evening when I get home and give you some feedback (if I feel any is needed)
fabricius, you can commit it to trunk if you like, I don't have my own commit access. (yet?)
Merbster: yet ... will heve soon - I am pretty sure, that you will get your initiation soon
Don'
Merbster: did you already read the 3 rules on dev.t.o?
't sweat it ;)
yes I did, but I forgot them again (it's months ago)
hehe
in the code I literally changed the base Id from 3 to 1 and renamed "project page indicator" to "Areas"
I think it's a good idea.
because our usecase is very specific, this functionality can be used in so many ways.
then I did write a comment at the end of the file, that describes the usage and how to make the settings (longer than the code itself)
I think you are doing a very nice job fabricius
thank you
I think you are doing a very good job
polom
hey chiba :)
if you are confident, people could try your code even tonight
fabricius, just commit it, you don't need to ask my permission :)
bolow chibaguy
Merbster: thx - it is just becaus you wrote it and not me (what I pointed out here and there) and I kind of hitchhike it for my feature proposal ;-)
i
http://irc.tiki.org/irclogger_log/tikiwiki?date=2011-08-25,Thu&sel=368#l364
this file demonstrates well, what I wanted to get in since long ... but you know
marclaporte, brilliant ^^ I will probably try and commit the few translations I made tonight when I get home.
Merbster: I also want to merge your page on dev.t.o (/lookup....) with the Areas page and then redirect your pagetitle to the Areas feature page - would you be confident with that aswell?
fabricius, it's a wiki, just do it :)
kk
I don't have ownership of the code. Tiki does. :)
then tiki-perspective_binder.php officially is the basis for "Areas" ;-)
I am not Tiki aswell - we are
so I just ask and deside then, when I know the opinions of my collegues and friends in the community
I am loosing nothing, if I discuss or aks before
ask
ofcourse not :P
So I have to do some work now, as I have a timeline for a project aswell, c ya later
cheers all
and thx Merb
cya fabricius :)
hi SJ-Jay and everybody
I'm looking for the Golden Key to wiki page paragraph spacing. Seems like I wrestle with this with every Tiki release.
(Could be a case of not learning from experience, but I think maybe the rules are also changing as we go along.)
tikiwiki: 03changi67 * r36586 10/trunk/lib/freetag/freetaglib.php: Notice
Specifically, I have wiki paragraphs turned on and am using html in pages, and using the regular wiki editor. If I follow one line by another with no white space in between, they are rendered as in the same paragraph. If I put a blank line between them, I get what appears to be about three blank lines in the wiki page. I didn't look at the source yet, but I suspect it's gnarly.
earlier in branch 7, that empty white space contained
%nbsp;
Yeah, still the case in the current svn branch 7. I need to do some methodical tests and document what I find, in case it could be helpful. I'd like to get My paragraph of text.
for text without line returns. Doesn't seem like a radical expectation.
(rather than: My paragraph of text.
My next paragraph of text.)
Makes it a little hard to assign styles to paragraphs, to say the least.
hi all
tikiwiki: 03muscote * r36587 10/trunk/tiki-perspective_binder.php:

chibaguy, I find it that the editor in general is funky.
chibaguy, that is probably the area where our test users has complained the most.
Oh, really?
something changed in v.7.1.. all my html fucked up.. had to wrap it with html tags
Seems like it was more predictable before; I think it's gotten more complex underneath.
It does need to be sorted out, so it'd be good to document the weird behavior when we run across it.
chibaguy, you know who developed the search box?
I tend to rant on irc instead of file bug reports, so not too constructive. ;-)
Ah, maybe lph.
lp huberdeau
SJ-Jay: I knew that more people than me would be victim of this HTML fault!!
SJ-Jay: we made a temporary fix, until the HTML will be redone completely
SJ-Jay: Jonny Bradley did write a fix and added preferences for Articles and Calendars - Wiki works so far and Blog/Forum I still have to check
SJ-Jay: in 7.x you can preset, that article-text and calendar items are forced to parse HTML - but you cannot use HTML in one item and WikiSyntax in the other one
SJ-Jay: but if you need WYSIWIG, it works
I have a problem with bullet points in menus (7.x branches) - might somebody please have a look here: http://trucs.fabricius.me/bullet-in-menu.png and give me a hint, how to deactivate those bullet points, please?
here it is menu 43 - in a module "menu", assigned to the Top Bar area
fabricius: when you assigned the menu when making the module did you give it the "css=y" or whatever the syntax is?
the stylesheet css/cssmenus.css should remove the bullet points.
if the menu is recognized as a css (suckerfish) menu.
About wiki editing, it bothers me that "enable HTML" must be turned on globally and for each page specifically. Why per-page when it's on globally?
on the phone
tikiwiki: 03sept_7 * r36590 10/trunk/ (3 files in 2 dirs): [EHN] FullCalendar some refinements
does anyone know if the searchbox will be compatible with lucene search soon?
SJ-Jay: You should check with lphuberdeau or sylvieg probably.
chibaguy, i'll do that.. btw do you know were to configure php to execute scripts in subdirectories?
sorry, SJ-Jay, I don't know much about that.
ok.. well anyone else knows how we can execute a php file from a specific subdirectory? :)
Made a change to the a module and now my entire site stopped displaying. Not sure what to do. Please help :(
to a module, rather
chibaguy: sry for the delayed answer - a guest came and I forgot IRC ;-)
chibaguy: I realised, that in 7.x css menu is default and so I forced css=n now wich made the bullet point disappearing
chibaguy: wouldn't it be possible to use css=y and to "deactivate" the bullet point somehow? the bullet point shows up in the Top Bar of jqui.cs and fivealive.css, where I haven't had them in previous versions
like 6.x
kreditkid: what change did you make to what kind of module in what context?
could you describe the before/after situation and as exact as possible, what you did do before the site disappeared?
I had created a custom module with code {banner zone=top}. I wanted it to center the banner zone on the top of the page. So, I edited it and applied html code around the {banner zone=top} to try to center it and checked the box for parse wiki syntax in html code. After I saved it everything went white and now I can't get a single page to load.
kreditkid, are you familiar with SQL?
kreditkid: please don't panic! do you have a towel?
not at all to be honest, but i figured there was a entry there I could delete that would fix it, but I don't know how.
a towel? lol
kreditkid: do you have access to the server control center respectively to the PHPmyAdmin?
kreditkid, the towel is a reference to "Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy" :P
we could guide you through
yeah, i can log in and get into phpmyadmin
like the Id of our main extensive application menu
yeah, my cpanel
you should read the books!
i'm logged into phpmyadmin now
kreditkid, I just sent you a query that will list all your modules
if you login to PHPmyAdmin, you can list the tables with the modules - there you can identify the module, that you modified and delete the code
find your custom module on that list
a cool - I leave it with Merbster
kreditkid, you need to change "sj-wiki" to your own database name
the database name I cannot help you with. That will depend on your host's settings
Merbster, I'm not sure how the query you sent me works.
Merbster: we would have to guide him step by step
ok, i just opened tiki_modules and I see the module listed that i edited that is now causing the problem
either where to paste the query or how to do it manually
cool
if i delete this module from this menu will that undo what i did right before the problem started (ie, delete the module i edited)?
Calendar: I do not find a configuration to get a "print button" for calendar view or calendar items - do we have such a print button for calendars (like on wiki pages or articles) or is printing not available for calendar?
kreditkid: if you find an editable field with the custom code, you could just delete the custom code - should be fine without deleting the whole module, if I am right - try that maybe first
kreditkid, fabricius is right about that
I had a collegue I had to support
:P
I don't know the interface of phpMyAdmin.
ah, I don't know queries without interface for phpMyAdmin :-P
kreditkid, you need to find out how you can execute an SQL query via. phpmyadmin
kreditkid, when you find out, edit he code I sent you so that sj-wiki is your db name. Paste in your code in phpmyadmin thingie and it should (hopefully) list all your stuff
Merbster: in phpMyAdmin (loged in to the GUI) you can just click on the leftside list of tables and then on the items - you have icons and such wich are more or less self explaining
and you have a menu item, where you can access a field, where you can paste a SQL query aswell
I can make a screenshot for kreditkid
i just ran the SQL query through phpmyadmin and it came back with "#1142 - SELECT command denied to user 'myusername@localhost' for table 'tiki_modules'
i appreciate your all's help :)
i see the module i edited, but when i open it up to edit it i don't see any strings of code i could remove...
ok, there's a button in phpmyadmin that i could click that would run the query you sent me Merbster
I've ran that query now and I can see all of my assigned modules
i see the one that's causing the problem, but when i click "edit" to edit it there isn't any string of code i could delete. should i just delete the module altogether? i don't mind rebuilding one module.
aaah.. desk finally clean! Merbster just spilled an entire glass of water :D
kreditkid, I think that was what I did last time I had your problem
just deleted the module?
Yes.
i can rebuild it in under a minute. i just don't know what i'm doing and i'm scared to delete anything lol
as long as the ROW you are deleting is the one that has name = yourmodulename
it is
just deleted it and, sweet Jesus, my site is loading again. just gotta rebuild the stupid module. thank you both :)
well, one last question: do either of you know the tiki syntax code for centering {banner zone=top}?
kreditkid, be careful with custom modules. test it before saving it.
kreditkid, you would need to look into the templates of tiki
::{banner zone=top}::
:)
or maybe do as Bernard1 says
this is the first time i had a problem like this, but you're right. custom modules can get you in trouble.
last time i used it, it works and it is tiki syntax
Bernard: I tried that and it prints the :: on the page next to the banner ad....
arf...
LOL
{HTML()}{HTML}{banner zone=top}{HTML()}{HTML}
else use div and style
styles
but "::{banner zone=top}::" is tiki syntax and should work (if you are copying this at the right place)
where do you input that ?
Bernard: lemme get back to that screen real quick
np
When creating a new custom module, I was putting {banner zone=top} in the Data box at the bottom of the page then hitting 'Create' to creat the module. When I went in and added the html code is when i had th problem.
… you are on tw7 ?
yeah
Mmmm… some stuff really don't work there… centering should work :(
(i mean ::)
::
Ok, so I just tested it by rebuilding the module with {HTML()}{HTML}{banner zone=top}{HTML()}{HTML}. After I assigned it to Page Top the site went white again. There's some sort of glitch with HTML and tiki syntax. I'm back in phpmyadmin deleting the module now.
oh shit
now i'm in phpmyadmin and the module isn't listed....
it need some refresh sometimes don't panic (it could be only worst) = and i'm the one saying that ! :D :D :D
not sure what happened, but my site is back up. the module didn't save somehow, thank god....
doesn't look like there's a safe way to center with HTML...
unfortunately, the wiki syntax prings on the page.
try to write in the module "::hello:: to check what is going on
::hello::
LOL
when you enter ::hello:: it prints ::hello:: on the screen.
but it's not centered. it's not parsing the wiki syntax.
aoutch…
why not using {literal} ... {/literal} ?
what is {literal}?
kreditkid: did you check the checkbox "Must be wiki parsed" ? ::hello:: is working fine here
some smarty similar thing I think ... just an idea ... gimme some minute, I am trying
the checkbox is under the title text field of the module
or this way Bernard1 says
:-D
yes it smell like a BIG :)
i see the checkbox you're talking about. i'm experimenting with ::hello:: to see if i can get it to work.
ok, now ::hello:: works
would ::{banner zone=top}:: theoretically work?
yes it SHOULD !
IF tick box is checked
;)
SWEET!
Ta DA ?
cool
at first it gave me an error saying the plugin couldn't be blah blah blah
but then i went in and enabled the plugin and now my banner ads are centered at the page top :) thank you so much for the help!
www.explorecreditrepair.com
what is "credit repair" ?
your site is getting better and better kreditkid
+1
Merb - it's when you remove negative items and add positive items to your credit file in order to raise your credit score.
Fab - thank you :) I just submitted it to the search engines tonight.
Do you think I'm going too heavy on the ads?
not so much - I do not really like ads at all - but it seems ok
sorry, I was away. Looks like I missed the fun.
in thae haeder there is a vertical "border" between the left title and the right grafic - that should be "smoother"
yes chibaguy - Bernard1 sorted it
+1 on smooth fading
the white space at the bottom of the page is well proportioned… but empty :)
and the "leafs" are cut off at the top - should be adjusted aswell
haha - well proportioned, but empty white space ... tht sounds cool
:)
ok ok , :D it should be filled with copyright, small link to avoid so much emptied space.
I'm using the eatlon theme. Is there a repository to get more tiki themes?
I have my Privacy Policy link down there ;) LOL
guess I need a copyright one....
yes and move them down
where the privacy policy link is is as low as it goes :(
kreditkid, you can go to http://themes.tiki.org for a few more themes.
cool, thanks :)
eatlon.css (line 89), change min-height: 163px;… it will reset your bottom to something more normal (visually)
removing it look good to me :)
Bernard1: I still have the problem with the bullet point - do not find how to get it out
I think it is, because of some changes in Tiki7 or I am just dump today
doc.t.o looks strange this morning
oh, back to normal, just a glitch
all the modules were gone ;)
fabricius: ? lost you. what are you talking about ?
hi lph
good morning
Bernard: where would i find eatlon.css within tiki to edit it?
kreditkid, credit in relation to what? - money, reputation?
polom y'all
"styles/eatlon.css"
Merb - your credit scores with the 3 major credit bureaus
hi Rick !
kreditkid, I don't get it, but maybe it's because I'm from Denmark
lphuberdeau: I do not see anything strange except the search boxin the german site version, wich we should fix ... looks aquard since a while, because it is "over" the Top Bar menu items (german uses longer words here
Merb - yeah, i'm sure you guys on a whole different system
bolow ricks99
Bernard: I looked under Edit Templates and it gives me a list of files, but there is no styles/eatlon.css. all the files in that list end with .tpl.
hiya fabricius & Bernard1
ricks99, was irene much trouble in your area?
not under templates.
just where you tiki is "styles/eatlon.css"
ricks99: did you weather the storm ok?
@lph: lots of rain, some limbs down in the yard, but that's it
Bernard: Gotcha. I need to go in through FTP to get that then.
Ah i knew an Irene once… but was brit :)
@kreditkid: you can use the custom css tab in admin lok & feel to override styles. no need for FTP
I enjoy that I need not to use FTP-software with my Ubuntu and can edit direct on the server
good to hear, we had some rain too yesterday and power outages, but it was not much of a storm here
hey! it happened before!
lol
lphuberdeau: how much a returnflight between Montréal and europe would cost about?
plus, we've been having sub-tropical end of afternoon rain all summer long
I am considering to save some money and come to the TikiFestDesign
fabricus, depends on the season, but november is usually quite cheap... about 600-700 EUR I would say
huh, I was afraid about that
same here, i checked flight cost about this one yesterday. :)
you should check out on flight booker sites
is november already fix, or maybe later (dec/jan)
I'll do anyway
I think the target is end of november
kk
orbitz.com give me the best price ($960)
december gets more expensive
okl
that's $675, I had a decent guess ;)
would there be a chance, that I get a place to sleep in one of your houses (nearly cannot afford the flight and definitely could not pay a hotel)
yeah, we'll have room, no worries
flight and some food for some days, I may perhabs could get aside
I should be able to host 1-2, marc 3-4, and there are tons of other people around
… and there are parties at night or we just work tied up to a chair and a computer ? :)
I just rebootet here in my hometown and start from scratch (no money, renovate house, new job,...)
you can tie yourself up if that's your thing, but most of us will enjoy the evening
I was for one night in montreal and i felt so sorry about that ! People seams so nice
You felt sorry about having been in Montréal?
:-D
gna gna ! :D
So I'd need a hand pls, to get rid of the bullet points in my css menu: http://trucs.fabricius.me/bullet-in-menu.png
css shoud do it, url ?
check out the list-style property
you'll also need to fix up the margin and padding
list-style:
it is css=y
if s.b. wants to check with a webdev tool
@fabricius: you might find this primer helpful: http://twessentials.keycontent.org/Which+CSS+Style+to+Edit
fabricius: add in your stylesheet :
.box-data ul {
list-style-type: none;
}
fabricius: the css/cssmenus.css stylesheet isn't being applied to that menu with the bullet point. Sorry, I didn't read all the conversation.
or better
what is the wiki syntax for a line break?
ul .cssmenu_horizontal {
list-style-type: none;
}
kreditkid: "…"
kreditkid: sry "…page…"
#topbar_modules .cssmenu_horizontal {list-style: none} should remove the bullet point.
www.explorecreditrepair.com
i lowered the privacy policy link at the bottom of the page
tikiwiki: 03changi67 * r36591 10/trunk/tiki-perspective_binder.php: Dos2unix + SVN Id
fabricius: ^^
lol yes now you have a big empty space… above :D
(joking that's ok)
LOL
thanks guys, thanks
so Bernard and chibaguy .box-data.... did work | ul .cssmenu.... did not work | .cssmenu_horizontal.... did work aswell as | #topbar_modules .cssmenu_horizontal.....
hello everyone
Bernard1 and kreditkid: I found it better before
hi ihtus
tikiwiki: 03lphuberdeau * r36592 10/trunk/lib/core/Tracker/Field/UserSelector.php: [FIX] Index the user field as an identifier
fabricius: the problem with ".box-data" is that it will work for any "box-data" (i don;t recommend using this) .cssmenu_horizontal is best
fabricius: you liked it better when the privacy policy link was closer to the page content? I also added a banner at the bottom. Thoughts on that?
ah btw @all: I commited the tiki-perspective_binder.php to trunk as base for the "Areas" feature
chibaguy: discussion can start now
kreditkid: waaaa… you'll have to decide for yourself but for my eyes, there is too much wasted white space there.
Gotcha... I'll chop it down.
kreditkid: same as Bernard1 says - I di find it "rounder" before, better fitting together - just a bit too much empty space
ok, i scaled it back from 9 line breaks before and after the privacy policy link to 3
So I am merging Merbsters and my page on dev.t.o and adjust the desription for "Areas" - brb
later guys, thanks for all your help this morning!
fabricius: sorry, I need to eat now
chibaguy: that's a pity ...
chibaguy: enjoy your meal anyway

shana_, that sounds pretty weird. have you tried changing theme?
no i will try that. thanks.
Merbster: to answer your question earlier, tikifests vary a lot in size, anywhere from 5 to 30, but usually 10-15
Merbster_, new theme, still the same. Does it have something to do with a profile feature i don't have turned on maybe?
lphuberdeau, ok. Sounds cozy.
shana_, I doubt it. I know there's some JS involved for rezising the textbox.
shana_, and the fact that the textbox /text area is there on allready created pages makes me think it's not a setting.
okay.
I might be wrong though
shana_, is this a totally squeeky clean install?
Merbster, what does squeeky clean mean lol? I have messed with the theme .css but it was working fine on a different install. The only thing i may have done to mess it up is i didn't use the preset profiles first. I installed, set all my preferences one by one. When i wen to create a new wiki it said I needed to "apply the wysiwyg 6.0" (with no input box) I went to check that out but couldn't find it, so i applied a "featured pr
edit- the wysiwyg notification went away
shana_, sounds like your editor choice is a bit screwed up
try to deactive the settings and re-apply them
if not try to re-install the tiki - remember to clear the database
okay. got it. thanks!
shana_, squeeky clean means "extremely clean"
like Mr Clean clean?
shana_, imagine the sounds it says when a cartoon character is polishing something to a shine - that's why "squeeky clean" :P
;) thanks for you help.
shana_, did it work?
Merbster, I'll let you know... working on it now.
shana_, ok. a tip; don't thank me before it works ;)
ha! well thanks for the suggestion then.
shana_: just read about your problem and that it seems to be WYSIWYG related
doesn anybodyd know what hash technique tiki is using? I would like to make a custom form for adding users and need to know how to store the hashed password
shana_: I am not a coder, but I have the WYSIWYG issues somehow on my focus
shana_: could you please in a few words repeat and clarify your problem?
shana_: Tikis change of behaviour happened, when you apllied WYSIWYG - right?
shana_: Please tell me your Tiki version

fabricius|busy, that's what i was thinking. I haven't reset everything just yet. still, looking around control panel for the answer. I had not tried it until that point so, i can't answer that. fabricius|busy, Let me start over.... I applied all my preferences, then went to add a new wiki page. Then got the error and notification. "Please apply the WYSIWYG_6.0" I HAVE found that profile and applied it. No change. Still no "body content" input box on all new wiki and articles pages.
shana_: perhaps try with the tiki editor to see if it is a problem related to wysiwyg
shana_: The WYSIWYG editor (wich is based on an external procet called CKE editor) is counted as new feature and has still some problems
@sylvieg: thank you!
shana_: this editor does not parse the Tiki Syntax, but instead HTML and it is a huge task to get both editors compatible to work on the same page
you can code your password in any of these methods - tiki will understand
fabricius, I have started going through my control panel to turn WYSIWYG off. I'm new at tiki so, It takes me a bit.
shana_: especially in Tiki 7 things got worse, but Jonny B. did a few fixes on HTML parsing and Mauritz is working a lot on HTML-WikiSyntax compatibility
If you use only WikiSyntax, all is fine
ther'es a plugin that parses HTML
{HTML()} {HTML}
then you can use HTML even if only wiki syntax is enabled
Merbster: yes, but that has a completely different focus than WYSIWYG - it is to write plain HTML and get it parsed in between WikiSyntax
fabricius, I know. But if he NEEDS html for some stuff he can use that and have both the easy of wiki syntax and the power of HTML ON THE SAME PAGE :D
We do it at work
Merbster: WYSIWYG editor is for non-tecchie users who do not want or feel not able to learn any syntax - never mind if HTML or Wiki
favricius, I have WYSIWYG turned off. and I have a input box now. Fixed!
fabricius, but wysiwyg is not in a usable state atm. too many bugs and inconsitencies.
shana_: if you want to use WYSIWYG lateron, just come back - there are a few people who have that on focus and you can ask me aswell
Thanks everyone for the help! :D Okay, fabricius, will do!
and shana_ if you need HTML in the meantime, just follow Merbsters advice, who is absolutely right in what he said
shana_, if you need Jquery / javascript on yor page there's {JQ()} {JQ}
Merbster: you are right, yes - too many bugs and inconsistencies - WYSIWYG is one of the BIG bits and pieces
fabricius, I work at a building engineering company, engineers are usually not afraid of "special codes" etc. But that is certainly not for all user groups :)
Merbster, I have a user that doesn't know anything about html or JS I just turned on the WYSIWYG for that reason.
shana_, you can use the JS to "style" the included trackers for example
shana_, http://doc.tiki.org/PluginJq <- here
Merbster, shana_ that's why I focus on that and other bits and pieces - acceptance of collaborative software by non-tecchie users ...
hide fields depending on selections in other tracker fields etc.
people just want to use - not to learn
@sylvieg: do you know in what php file I can see how "crypt-md5" is implemented?
ihtus, my guess would be lib/auth
but really shana_ Tiki is reallyeasy to use in respect of most of the core functionalities
fabricius, it's a great feature! i look forward to it working. definitely helpful.
ihtus: probably in lib/userslib.php
ihtus, in that lib/auth dir most (if not all?) functions for authentication is there.
atleast there must be something there reading the password. :P
heading away again
It's hard to try to explain to a 65 year old they need to use {HTML()} {HTML} lol.
shana_, I know. we have those too :P
thanks!
recently one called and complained that we expected him to remember his own password...
hahahahaha R O F L
the worst part is; I'm not even joking.
it's a true story
what does he expect? that your boss employes a password rememberer? or give the passwords to the cleaners, as they have the physical keys anyway?
fabricius|busy, I don't know... :P
ah you as IT represeantative could have a list in your office and whenever somebody needs a password he calls you and you dictate it
easier perhabs with e-mail
I write you an e-mail - encrypted or not? and you send it back to me
the password
It would be a nasty risk.
to have ONE file with all passwords :P
maybe that would require more employees - more jobs is good for our society - less social health care
lol
every company with more than 20 employees should have a password rememberance department
and once you change your employer (if you ever would have to as a password rememberer) you get always good references ;-)
so have to head off

luckily our users are not familiar with #tikiwiki :P
hehe
how many passwords do they need to remember?

everything is integrated with our AD
even Tiki :)
we used the option to only allow admin to login via. tikis own user system. so the AD passwords aren't even stored in Tikis DB
quite awesome
:-)
If there is just one password, there is no point for a password manager
that is exactly our point.
:)

yeah
ok nevermind then

Hi, can anyone tell me if this tiki site is rendering correctly in Safari? http://quiztease.com
is it possible to have PDO return the primary key value of the newly inserted record with mysql?
is it just lastInsertId ?
tikiwiki: 03sylvieg * r36609 10/trunk/templates/tiki.tpl: [FIX]section layout: respect top and bottom setting in tiki-admin_layout.php
If you use the table interface for the insert, it will just provide it
TikiDb_Table
which is provided by ->table() on all libs that inherit TikiDb_Bridge (almost everything)
but it does use lastinsertid
thanks cia-50
lphuberdeau, I am coding glueware. so no tikilib here
ah, no other way then
I guess "sequence object" would translate to "table" in mysql
nah, it has no equivalent really
the parameter is ignored
is there anything specific i should do in tiki-admin_layout to fix the problem?
So I will get the global last inserted ID even if it is from another table?
it's per-connection, so bound to be to your last query
So each session to the webserver will have it's own connection?
that maybe a badly phrased question
do you get the meaning or should I try to elaborate?
it's per-request, not per-session
So all concurent users on the webserver will share the same instance of my PDO object?
no
Hi, can anyone tell me if this tiki site is rendering correctly in Safari? http://quiztease.com
deeku: btw, CIA-50 is a bot that publishes the commit activity, not an actual person answering questions
hmm, silly me, just saw that on the whois...
deeku: that site seems way too wide on my screen
the right column seems to be having trouble
thanks for the feedback - problem is that it renders perfectly in IE and a few other browsers
it's probably some div that's not closed properly
hi all, deeku: i'm getting a blank dark grey page in Safari, so i guess not... seems scrolled a long way down the page
each browser can handle those differently
thanks for the tip about the div, will have a look to see if I can find it
I clicked on a random link and that page is fine
so it's likely in the content of the home page
ok, thanks a million for pointing me in the right direction.
i think it might be an extra close div on the footer custom code
checking...
but would the footer div not render other pages incorrectly too?
no, sorry, i think lphuberdeau is right, it's only the home page that's screwy
exacto
Would anyone know if mthis is correct: {DIV(clear=both)}{DIV}
should there be a closing div?
no, that looks ok
the second {DIV} is the closing one (for historical reasons :P )
tikiwiki: 03marclaporte * r36610 10/trunk/templates/admin/include_rss.tpl: fix link
Hmm, strange that I could not find any divs which are not closed or any extra closed divs...

deeku: it might be a bug in a plugin you have on that page
good plan

sylvieg : can I ask about the perf issue you reported with search?
I think lph fixed it... but I did not find the commit yet ... (still did not empty my mail box from the vaation)
he just wrote a test
so are the stop words eliminated?
He says that in trunk, it was already the case.
But what about 7.x? (he doesn't know)
yes - seems to be a version problem ... and a lot of code has changed .. not easy to spot where...
I can give you the patch I did for myself in tikik7 ;-) but it is too dirty to commit
lph changes a lot of code around the search
anyne aware of something that would cause forum replies not to be indexed in search anymore (since a few days ago)?
nkoth : lph says he doesn't recall making any changes at that level
(he can check tomorrow) ping him
sylvieg : what is the patch?
interesting, new ones get added via incremental search but something is breaking in rebuild index.
I'll figure it out... it's one of those days
