Hello, I need some views about the possibility of using tiki 9 (with innodb) to accept 15000 registrations which will happen over a period of two to four days. Can tiki handle a registered user base of this size? What is the largest number of registered users of a tiki install known thus far?

jjg0th: deeku: I'm not qualified to give any assurances here. Just keep asking... My _guess_ is that this should definitely be possible. It probably depends a lot on the database/web server too. I recommend to check the database settings (in the wiki and in the actual database) very carefully...
deeku: Thanks jjg0th, it would help if people would indicate the largest number of registered users in tikis that they have setup
I plan to use Rackspace Cloud Databases for this particular site so there should be enough processing power available to tiki if there are no design limitations in tiki for a user base of this size
I guess the next step would be to simulate such a load on a standard install of tiki on different environments such as shared hosting / VPS or dedicated server.

any news on that one?
display:none
that's why, hmm ok, that gives me more debug information about where the bug is...
luci: cached wiki page ?
jjg0th: hmm?
dunno
I just know that after a while the search stuff vanishes
luci: is the wiki page set to 0 cache ? or is it cached ? sometimes these plugins need no wiki page caching set
jjg0th: where do I set 0 cache for the wiki pagE?
{if isset($open) && $open eq 'y'}block{else}none{/if}
somehow $open is not equal to "y" or not set
if ($displayList == 'n' || !empty($_REQUEST['filter']) || $noflipflop == 'y' || $prefs['javascript_enabled'] != 'y' || (isset($_SESSION['tiki_cookie_jar']["show_trackerFilter$iTrackerFilter"]) && $_SESSION['tiki_cookie_jar']["show_trackerFilter$iTrackerFilter"] == 'y')) { $open = 'y'; .... }
so nofliplflop="y" should do it :)

deeku: Thanks luci - good to know that there are > 15000 subscribers on some tikis. This gives me hope. I wonder what kind of hardware info.tiki.org runs on. Any idea?
lphuberdeau: most t.o sites run on the same server
if I remember correctly, it has 24G of ram (hosted on kimsufi.com)
deeku: thanks lphuberdeau

Hi, I am having a problem with search. When I search for "" random results seem to be returned. Seems to apply in some installations when using scandinavian (assume non-latin) characters
I tried the same in the latest trunk with the same result
It may not be the characters ...I tried to search for: abcdefghijjlkjkljkljlk ... also gives results, but it's not present anywhere in the wiki
same result in trunk....any ideas?
..or...anybody that can check this in their installation?
did a test on the Tiki 9 from SVN...similar strange results
