Guest76622 | hi all, i m trying to write a code in the code box -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state --state NEW -m tcp -p tcp --dport 21 -j ACCEPT
but it is striking through anyone has any idea to avoid the strike through within the code box i used ~np~ ~/np~but no luck | [03:28] |
refizul | Guest76622: did you read documentation about Tiki's wiki syntax? | [03:34] |
Guest76622 | yes..i did thats how i know about no parsing feature
but no parsing feature is acting wierd within the code box | [03:34] |
refizul | https://doc.tiki.org/Wiki-Syntax+Text&structure=Tiki+User+Guide#Displaying_code
Did you use {CODE()} and {CODE}? | [03:36] |
kstingel | joined #tikiwiki | [03:41] |
refizul | marclaporte1: I tracked down some permission issues | [03:42] |
Guest76622: does this help you? | [03:48]
Guest76622 | thats what i m originally referring to Refizul | [03:48] |
refizul | what exactly is the problem with this? | [03:49] |
Guest76622 | i tried {code()} -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state ~np~--state NEW -m tcp -p tcp --~/np~dport 21 -j ACCEPT{code}
with above syntax it produces -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state ~np~--state NEW -m tcp -p tcp --dport 21 -j ACCEPT | [03:49] |
refizul | what is the ~np~ good for inside the code box? | [03:50] |
Guest76622 | see ~np~ before --state
because if i m not using ~np~ inside code box it is striking through for some reason code box is parsing -- you know what i mean | [03:50] |
refizul | a - I understand - this is kind of strange | [03:51] |
Guest76622 | yeah | [03:51] |
refizul | please look here as example how it should look like: https://tiki.org/UserPagefmg#Code_example
is this what you want? | [03:52] |
Guest76622 | yes
exactly the same how did you do it | [03:52] |
refizul | I just left out the ~np~ stuff | [03:53] |
Guest76622 | interesting
but that is not working here is there a way i can send u screenshot via this chat or other mean | [03:53] |
refizul | {CODE()}-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state --state NEW -m tcp -p tcp --dport 21 -j ACCEPT{CODE}
can you upload the screenshot to some webspace and send the link? | [03:54] |
Guest76622 | i used the same code as yours.. still to be on safe side i wrote your code and same result
it is striking through from state to tcp -- | [03:57] |
refizul | maybe a permission problem? are you allowed to display code? I don't know whether there is a configuration setting for this or not. | [03:59] |
Guest76622 | yeah.. i m admin for the site so all permission are there | [04:00] |
refizul | which version? | [04:01] |
Guest76622 | 9.1 | [04:01] |
refizul | I'll test it again | [04:03] |
Guest76622 | thank you | [04:03] |
refizul | wait - did you save it and it looks wrong? or does it just look wrong in the wiki editor? | [04:05] |
Guest76622 | saved it
and its same in both chrome & IE | [04:05] |
refizul | oh - I see - editor wrong, preview correct, save wrong -- quite fresh 9.1 installation
This is really odd | [04:06] |
Guest76622 | i just upgraded to 9.1
everything else seems to be working fine all my wikipages n menus are intact is it behaving same at your end for 9.1? | [04:07] |
refizul | yes, I can reproduce your buggy situation | [04:08] |
Guest76622 | hhhmmmm | [04:09] |
refizul | let me try some tests for a moment | [04:13] |
Guest76622 | sure
plz take your time | [04:13] |
refizul | more odd stuff occurs
setting: inline plugin code // seems to be hidden -- this is not the solution for the problem, but... | [04:21] |
Guest76622 | hhmm | [04:27] |
refizul | I don't get this on the fly. Are you on the mailing list? | [04:28] |
Guest76622 | no | [04:28] |
refizul | maybe you should ask again here in IRC tomorrow and someone else can help with that issue | [04:29] |
Guest76622 | which mailing list do i need to subscribe | [04:30] |
refizul | it looks like kind of a bug with a second one attached
tiki-users will be fine, and with more traffic tiki-devel where developers are | [04:30] |
Guest76622 | okay
do i need to send this question to them or you already posted it | [04:31] |
refizul | you may register at tiki community website and file a bugreport | [04:31] |
Guest76622 | ok | [04:31] |
refizul | I can reproduce this in two different quite fresh 9.1 installations | [04:32] |
Guest76622 | okay
thanks for your help refizul | [04:33] |
refizul | no problem, you're welcome | [04:34] |
next and related problem (Tiki9.1): go to Admin home, search "code", one result is "Inline plugin Code (found in textarea)"
go to textarea - where is this option? I cannot find it... | [04:40]

HI Does anyone know what to do when the installer of tiki 9.1 starts looping after clicking the install button ? it is running on debian 6.0.5 I would really appreciate any help since I'm new to Linux and tiki i get promted with a log in window an then redireted to the start page of the installer (language selection) | [10:13] |
marclaporte | Someone reported that on the mailing list
did you run sh setup.sh ? refizul and Guest76622 {CODE(colors="shell")} -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state --state NEW -m tcp -p tcp --dport 21 -j ACCEPT{CODE} | [10:28] |
phenom135 | yes i ran sh setup.sh
i also encounter the issue in tiki 7.1 i also changed the file acces rights with chmod to 777 for the entire tiki folder | [10:41] |
marclaporte | oh
Jyhem_ , refizul, sipherdee and amette are better at answering this :-) | [10:46] |
phenom135 | ok thanks | [10:48] |
marclaporte | did you try an manual install?
Are you upgrading or new install? | [10:48] |
phenom135 | its a new install
i copied db/tiki.sql and secb to var/lib/mysql if thats what you mean by manual isntall and created a db/local.php after that i renamed the tiki-install.php wich got me promted with a 404 i also ran tiki-check.php and there are no bad entries only a few ugly once and a few risky once (i figuered i will deal with them when i finally got it running ^^) | [10:52] |

marclaporte | yes, I meant a manual install, as you did
what did you do to fix last time? (in 7.1) | [11:09] |
phenom135 | no i havent found a fix jet i first tried to install 9.1 got this issue so i figuerd i would try a diffrent version to rule out that it is version related so i treid it with 7.1 and got the same issue | [11:10] |

hi experts i want some help please do needful today i have done upgradation of tiki6 to tiki 9 in that i am getting error in database restoration i wont able to add some of tables, but due to its big size i wont able to add that so please help me for that | [17:07] |
ricks99 | you're getting an error from the tiki installer during the upgrade? | [17:10] |
dhawal | no
i do have one atble name tiki_wiki_attachement its size is of 490 M so i wont able to export that table also | [17:10] |
ricks99 | you can use something like bigdump.php to import large sql dumps
this will help stagger your sql import see http://www.ozerov.de/bigdump/ | [17:11] |
dhawal | in that also i got some database related issue | [17:12] |

rahul_ | we have try with bigdump.php.. but that time also facing prbl with database | [17:14] |
ricks99 | the new db (tiki 9) or old db (tiki 6)? | [17:15] |
dhawal | we had try with different methods to export database
like we done by zipped, gzipped, bzipped today i have exported databse manually like selected 4-5 tables and export that so almost 50 .sql files are made so i have done manually import also but amongst them i wont able to add this tiki_wiki_attachment | [17:15] |
ricks99 | sounds very complicated. i suggest using a SINGLE file withmysqldump
will be MUCH easier is there a reason that you are exporting individual tables? | [17:19] |
dhawal | because if i import this by zipped than it showing error when i import the databse to tiki 9 | [17:21] |
ricks99 | what type of error? | [17:21] |
dhawal | it showing error of max_packet_size
fro that error also i done changes in my.cnf file but still no result for that | [17:22] |
ricks99 | you'll need to stagger the import then.
try using bigdump | [17:24] |
dhawal | ok
thnx but now i do have one other problem also as i am getting problem in that table i left that table and started further i add the all info, i upgraded that databse also after that i am getting the login page but now i wont able to login with admin username and password so please give ur comment ablout this | [17:25] |
ricks99 | so, you were able to complete the tiki-installer, and selected UPGRADE? | [17:28] |
dhawal | yes | [17:29] |
ricks99 | and now, at the login page, you can't login as ADMIN? | [17:29] |
dhawal | i do
yes and even i wont able to change password of that | [17:29] |
ricks99 | re-run the installer as upgrade. on one of the pages in the installer (near the bottom) is an "Admin Fix" option
you might need that, depending on what you upgraded from | [17:29] |
dhawal | ok m trying that | [17:30] |
no i wont able to get this Admin Fix option
hello plz do needful | [17:35]
ricks99 | have you tried resetting the Admin password, as shown in faq? | [17:38] |
dhawal | yes man
but i didnt get any answer | [17:38] |
ricks99 | answer? | [17:39] |
dhawal | means any solution | [17:39] |
ricks99 | you used the sql to reset the password and you still cannot login ? | [17:39] |
dhawal | sql means?
how? | [17:39] |
ricks99 | see faq: doc.tiki.org/Tiki+FAQ
you can reset the admin password manually, via sql on the db | [17:40] |
dhawal | how? | [17:40] |
ricks99 | see doc.tiki.org/Tiki+FAQ | [17:41] |
dhawal | in that m getting page not found | [17:41] |
ricks99 | sorry http://doc.tiki.org/Tiki+FAQs | [17:41] |

arildb | I created a TextLink. Seemed to work ok. However, when I try to follow the link from the textlink plugin, I get a "Phrase not found" error
Note. The page I am linking to is on the same Tiki installation, but the page is in html format | [22:54] |

arildb | the forward link seems works when the page syntax is wiki to wiki, but not for wiki to HTML. | [23:06] |
omstefanov | hi. I've got a host which uses "stats" for their own, so tiki-stats.php isn't called when clicking the standard "stats" link in the left (standard) menu. I presume this has something to do with the SEFURL and if I could change/delete the stats entry I could handle this, but I can't find where this is set. Can anyone help? | [23:06] |
arildb | RobertPlummer: I am not sure if I did things correctly, but the forwardlink seems to have problems with pages in html format. Should that work? | [23:07] |
RobertPlummer | It should.
What step are you at? | [23:07] |
arildb | I was able to create a forwardlink, add a textlink plugin, add the clipbord data and saved the page. Then clicked on the forward link "*"...whichbtw. is missing a hand icon on mouseover to indicate the link. Clicked anyhow, and I get to the target page. | [23:09] |
RobertPlummer | Does they both show up correctly? | [23:10] |
arildb | When I create a forward link (target) in a page created with ckeditor, I get "Phrase not Found"...I may have included whitespace, i.e. html tags | [23:10] |
RobertPlummer | textlink should have an asterisk after, and forwardlink should have one before. | [23:10] |
arildb | No only the wiki created page | [23:10] |
RobertPlummer | I've never tested it with wysiwyg, I would use the wiki editor directly.
wysiwyg is too buggy, we need to rewrite it, which will happen soon. | [23:11] |
arildb | I cannot see a * before the forward link. After the textlink, yes
Unfortunately my target installations requires WYSIWYG... ...and html | [23:11] |

RobertPlummer | arildb: What is your take on the forwardlink protocol, is it too complex for the public? Or do you think it will be a hit? | [23:27] |
arildb | RobertPlummer: I think the "use-case" should be clearer. When should I use it and which benefits does it bring. I think however, that the mechanism has interesting possibilities when put in a "use-case" context.
still learning about it though... | [23:30] |

refizul | is ist possible to insert little code pieces into a Wiki page or module? I'd like to check e.g. whether the site is visited via http or https and then set an external link depending on the protocol. | [23:53] |
