anyone using nginx with tiki? Bsfez: joined #tikiwiki dennmans: joined #tikiwiki redflo: joined #tikiwiki changi: gour: yes
gour: i didn't take the time to convert the htaccess for now gour: changi: i'm worried how to solve the problem described in http://www.stevestreeting.com/2012/05/09/apache-to-nginx-php-fpm-part-1/ arildb: next.tiki.org shows an error at the bottom: "Failed to execute "bot_logo_code" module". I don't know this module. Anybody? changi: gour: you mean the + issue ? gour: changi: yes, i bet it's very common in tiki changi: gour: like he say, sometimes apps shouldn't take advantage of apache lak
e -: gour nods gour: htaccess is often abused
still, how to resolve it in the meantime changi: gour: another thing, i'm converting the svn repo to git using the merge script you mentionned, i'm at commit 38000 gour: changi: you must have good internet connection :_) changi: gour: propose to replace + with a more compliant script
gour: no, i have a local copy of the svn repos gour: i did svn checkout and it's 40G, but then i could not migrate to git when having local svn checkout changi: s/script/caracter
gour: by copy i mean a svnsync copy gour: attempt to use svnserve locally was not successful and i gave up since it requires to know more about svn then i'm interested in :-)
changi: hopefully, you/marclaporte/someone-else can properly migrate to fossil and evaluate changi: gour: anothre tricky question, does your dvcs provide external refs like svn ?
gour: because we are using it for all our external lib (zend / pear / phpcs / etc) gour: changi: i don't think so...it's svn's specialty...even git does it differently changi: bbl
gour: that will be a problem gour: changi: all i can say is that fossil is using non-released version of sqlite and now includes zlib for OS-es (like windows) changi: gour: so you are obliged to commit all external lib in your repos -: changi git creation revision 39000 after 16h gour: changi: how often are those external libs changing?
changi: to me it's not a big problem, considering the size i got for the size of experimental fossil repo for one tiki branch in comparison with the size of svn repo
changi: there are ~44000 commits, right? changi: gour: yes arildb_: joined #tikiwiki arildb__: joined #tikiwiki Tiki|bot: New Forum Posts: Themes and RTL languages - http://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=13&comments_parentId=45638 Bsfez: polom Tiki-KGB: tikiwiki 03yonixxx r44163 10branches/10.x/styles/ 03fivealive/options/blueberry/rtl/siteheader_rtl.jpg 03fivealive/options/blueberry/rtl

tikiwiki [MRG] Automatic merge, branches/10.x 44140 to 44165 changi: gour: you have 40 Go becasue of the external refs
gour: tik is 100Mo per version
50 commits left before ending gour: changi: well, but those external refs still occupy server' space, right?
i do not complain about tiki's size, but svn repo's size :-) changi: gour: the svn repos is 1.3 Go gour: changi: it means git & fossil will be very slim ;) changi: for now git is 900 Mo
not so slim gour: check fossil and be surprised ;) -: gour is fighting with nginx's 504 errors changi: gour: do you have a howto to move from git to fossil ? gour: changi: check this http://www.fossil-scm.org/fossil/wiki?name=Cookbook#SVN & http://fossil-scm.org/index.html/doc/trunk/www/inout.wiki changi: gour: 294 Mo after gc :) arildb_: joined #tikiwiki gour: :-) -: gour is curious about git --> fossil Bsfez: changi: arf tks for the merge, i was trying to put my changes in trunk and didn't understand why the operation failed. :) arildb__: joined #tikiwiki gour: changi: did you have any timeout issues with nginx when installing? changi: gour: i put a timeout to 300s on fpm connection gour: i've even more...what about max_execution_time? changi: gour: you should see the problem in nginx logs no ,
? gour: it seems that i should increase verbosity in the logs
omne problem is that i get 504 error by reverse proxy...my nginx is behind it
*one changi: the timeoutis on the reverse proxy gour: yes and i do not have influence on it :-/
(unless i want to use my own VPS) changi: can be a problem :( gour: how is your conversion to fossil going on? Tiki-KGB: tikiwiki 03yonixxx r44167 03trunk/styles/greenvalley.css

? gour: if i recall correctly changi: thx
gour: 2.5 Go, i hope the vaccum will come gour: changi: interesting...mine went from 400M for git to 30M for fossil
actually, svn was 481, git 32, fossil 29m

changi: in any case i believe that it would be worth to post your experience to the fossil list changi: gour: which part, the "no space left" :) gour: changi: no, the overall size only ;) refizul: gour: I started with nginx, but it's a mess. Administration preliminaries are tough, I didn't comlplete the Tiki installation yet. gour: refizul: what is mess? its config? refizul: gour: the config templates for php-fpm are broken in NetBSD and Debian/dotdeb gour: refizul: i'm using my own build from the src changi: refizul: i'm using it(debian/dotdeb), they are working
changi: refizul maybe i can post my configuration on doc.tiki.org gour: changi: with workaround for '+' :-D changi: gour: :), not for now refizul: changi: thx, I managed to fix the Debian+dotdeb conf last night changi: refizul: what do you mean by fix ? refizul: changi: but a working conf on doc.t.o would be a good idea
changi: a commented line was not usable when uncommented, a missing whitespace, and I added the complete path to filename
changi: I guess it was the template in sites-available changi: refizul: will put my nginx configuration and php-fpm conf on a page call Nginx+php-fpm gour: changi: how is fossil doing? changi: gour: 3.4 Go, not finished refizul: changi: AFAICS it was the Debian sites-available/default not the one from dotdeb gour: maybe i should try install with apache and then switch...btw, what is the procedure to change tiki installation from one TLD to the other?
refizul: i was able to install tiki with nginx on debian on my own localhost...the problem is on production server where i'm behind reverse-proxy
all in all, nginx+tiki needs some love refizul: changi: yes, the problem in default was the same as in NetBSD's template: /scripts$fastcgi_script_name; gour: cherokee (which i liked) development is stalled, same with lighty...so not many choices if we want to save some ram and avoid apache refizul: gour: Tiki does not know 3rdLDs in default, but you can use them in perspectives gour: refizul: what is 3rdLD?
subdomain? refizul: gour: this means moving from foo.example.com to bar.example.com should work without changes in the configuration (usually)
gour: yes, third level domain, or what did you mean with TLD? gour: refizul: ahh, aok. what about foo.bar.com to www.foobar.net?
top level domain refizul: same gour: it just works? refizul: unless you configure something really speacial domain dependent: it is supposed to work immediately changi: gour: 6 Go and not finished gour: cool...same with all the links for images/media etc.? refizul: you can even move it around in the file system tree gour: changi: do you perform some magic over there?
refizul: that i've heard, but was not sure when changing installation domain...preserving links is really cool feature in tiki refizul: foo.example.com/tiki/ -> bar.example.net/cms/newtiki/ gour: i have one domain for playing/testing and then after fixing all the redirects etc. would like to move it into production an a completely different domain refizul: gour: if you do not use special features (e.g. domain depending layout via perpectives or similar stuff) you can do this without any extra work AFAIK gour: i was advised on the mailing list to some something like example.com/b5-Introducing-Tiki-Profiles instead of example.com/blogpost5-Introducing-Tiki-Profiles for blog URLs...similar for articles - example.com/a5-Introducing-something-else
what do you think?
or to stay with 'default' tiki URLs and just do redirects which we anyway have to do refizul: gour: this depends on the URL style you want to have
I don't know how much work it is to adjust the rewrite rules to nginx gour: refizul: for now, i'm only concerned to preserve old redirects...otherwise not sure if the proposed 'new style' is much better 'cause we anyway cannot have 'clean' URLs without those prefixes
refizul: there is online htaccess --> nginx converter
http://winginx.com/htaccess changi: gour: nice website
gour: 10Go, not finished gour: changi: the converter one?
changi: does it compete with svn size? changi: svn = 1.3 Go ; converter one 11 G, but still converting lindonb: joined #tikiwiki changi: refizul: gour : http://doc.tiki.org/Nginx-php-fpm <= can be impoved

any css js master?
I'm testing a migration of tiki6 site from one server to another while upgrading to tiki9, and tabs doesn't seem to work in the new server
there is something wrong with javascript, I guess in the new server, I don't know why
when we check the "use tabs", it's displayed once with tabs (even if clicking on a tab title doesn't switch tab), and when clicking somewhere else in the same tiki, the setting is not kept (tabs are not used, and the setting seems to be off)
which seems odd to me...
any guess anyone on where to look changi: xavi : jquery is loading ?
xavi: did you try removin css and js minify ? xavi: heya! you gave me the right hint!!!!
jquery was not loading... it seems. I changed cdn from jquery to none, and voila, tabs working!
(css and js minification were tried with on and off for hours) changi: tabs are build with jquery-ui, so if the JQUERY-UI object is not load you have the result you have xavi: yes, thanks, solved! :-) changi: xavi: my pleasure arildb: parserlib.php line 2971 is currently: preg_match_all('/<a class="wiki" href="tiki-index.php?page=([^?&"]+)[^"]*"/', $data, $htmlLinks); Howvere, it seems like the class has changed from "wiki" to "wiki wiki_page"
