arildb: I am testing the tracker item type: image. Created a tracker with a text and an image field. Added an item ancl uploaded image. When I look Edit/Delete I see "Browse", and in View the field is listed but shows nothing. Where can I see the updaloaded image? (in trunki
There is an error: "NetworkError: 404 Not Found - ....../img/trackers/8301c111c2b8e0628845a5d08fb477b5" ...but this file exists. ....maybe a local setup problem...
I tested the same in Tiki 11. Same result, but no JS error
Does tracker field type: image work? If so, how can I view the uploaded image?
...Network error...not JS error
ricks99: arildb: works fine for me. Here's my test on demo.t.o: http://demo.tiki.org/11x/tiki-view_tracker_item.php?trackerId=17&itemId=24
lphuberdeau: I don't think it should attempt to load that file directly
lack of file extension probably causes some issues
arildb: ricks99: yes, demo works fine
ricks99: check directory perms for the ../img/trackers/... directory
arildb: the file exists, so it's writable (and readable). btw. I am on windows
lphuberdeau: any idea how I can fix it? No file extension is set by the system. Is it a bug?
lphuberdeau: I'm kind of surprised it links to the files directly
I would expect it to go through some PHP script
as permissions likely need to be validated anyway
ricks99: lphuberdeau: nope, links directly img. :(
lphuberdeau: I would use the files field type anyway
ricks99: odd that you're getting 404 error when the fiel does exist
arildb: lphuberdeau: I will try the files type. All that is needed is to upload and display images
lphuberdeau: there are options to get it to display images
but it stores files in file galleries
so it uses less bits of copy-pasted code with bug leftovers
arildb: lphuberdeau: I tested in trunk. The files type will not diaply the image . A link is dshown. The &display is misisng
lphuberdeau: used to work
arildb: it may be something with my setup
does it work on your side?
lphuberdeau: yes it does
did you set the field display to images?
arildb: The image and files fields are listed and I can view the item. Is that what you meant?
maybe I found it
yes, there it is !
lphuberdeau: the tracker field has options
arildb: files work
thanks
testing the image field...maybe the same
I can't find a similar setting for the image field.
lphuberdeau: no, not the same
arildb: Then I have something that works.

refizul: du warst hier https://tiki.org/tiki-register.php ?
sorry
are hotmail addresses blocked from registration?
a friend of mine tries to register, and he gets: Request not from this host.
marclaporte: refizul: that server has some additional protection (outside of Tiki)
Oliver Hertel is the person to ask
skulltrail: what are you trying to do, feature wise?
refizul: marclaporte: the error message is inside the default Tiki error box.
chibaguy: joined #tikiwiki
skulltrail: Do a gallery show files categorized by default
marclaporte: refizul: ah, maybe this is a bug / feature (false positive). Can you grep the code for this error message ?
refizul: I try
lib/smarty_tiki/function.user_registration.php
TomJarvis: joined #tikiwiki
In lib/smarty_tiki/function.user_registration.php, the 'Request not from this host.' message is given if http_referer_registration_check is turned on and the referrer does not match $base_host
Have him try to go the the register link by using the link on the Login page
refizul: marclaporte: is the referrer checked?
Jyhem_laptop: sounds like he triggers anti XSS features. That is probably not related to his hotmail email but his browser config or network infrastructure config
refizul: TomJarvis: ah, yeah, thx, I'll make him change his browser settings

Hello all
refizul: robertr: hello
he's got registered now and waits for admin
arildb: A friend of mine downloaded Tiki for the first time to try it. He is loking into making a "database app". When he first started the app he said he "could not even find where to create a wiki page". It should be much more obvious after installing to how to start operating it immidiately. Maybe a button: "Create your first wiki page"...and the defult page explains the ways wiki pages can be made...
The current start page is awkward to edit. However, it is likely the fiurst page a new users tries to edit.
Tiki|bot: New Forum Posts: Example: tiki_p_view_calendar - what is that? - http://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=48823
arildb: lphuberdeau: I tested the tracker field type Image, and the problem is like you said that the image has no extension.
We should probably add an extension to these files. So they become readable for browsers
