you need to go to toolbars admin and add the ckonly Image one too (or instead) arildb: ok...will try

...after "Broswe Server" jonnyb: oh? when i tried it (full page html wysiwyg) it entered "display42" in the url box
probably won't work from elfinder yet though arildb: I tested using inline editing ... testing fullscreen editor...
same thing jonnyb: with elfinder? arildb: elFinder activated, then browsing for files using the new html img editor jonnyb: switch to non-elfinder view - i didn't think that would work yet arildb: El finder seems to find the file, but inserts the plugin code, instead of the file url
right jonnyb: yes, it has no idea about ckeditor yet arildb: The admin wizard sets the Finder view to the defaul file gallery view. Is this ok?
...if El Finder is selected
It certainly makes it a lot user friendlier to work with the galleries fabricius: arildb:
I do not agree
because elFinder causes issues, when you want to use Tiki for hidden file galleries
meaning a certain group that should get access to only one certain file gallery, should not see the other file gallery
tiki_p_list_galleries has to be deactivated
but then elFinder would not work
el Finder lists all galleries or non
you still can limit access, but you see them arildb: fabricius: is this fixable?
The case exists with or without the admin wizard
maybe make the default view a part of the files wizard page, and keep the standard view as the default?

And will remove the "hard" setting of the default view MagicFab_: joined #tikiwiki jonnyb: hi fabricius - sounds like you should check out user file galleries, have done quite a bit of work on them since 9.x
need a break, mbbl arildb: fabricius: I have added an option to set ElFinder as the default view. It is initially off. However, I am not quite happy with the result luciash: polom arildb: It adds an option: Set ElFinder as the default file gallery view. If checked, ElFinder is set as the default view. But I feel this is a "bug fix" option. As a user I may have difficulty understanding it. If ElFinder is active, I would expect it to be the default view
Maybe the problem case you mentioned is solved, as jonnyb indicated? -: arildb thinks to commit or not to commit? luciash: arildb: for newbie better would be something descriptive arildb: luciash: any suggestions? luciash: imho, something like "Use enhanced drag and drop interface for file galleries (ElFinder)" arildb: yes, better
The feature description already says something similar.
The problem I have is, if I select ElFinder, (having a similar description) why should I then not chose to activate it? The extra choice seems to add "confusion" luciash: dunno, where else is elfinder used ? if nowhere else, one checkbox should be enough arildb: So the current el finder options read
1) Use elFinder UI
2) Set ElFinder as the default file gallery view. (can be improved)
To me it appears better to have only 1 choice. Nr 2 is implicit. luciash: i would make it default and maybe add checkbox a "Use old school file galleries interface" instead (even)
if mature enough
as in stable arildb: but then why would I enable ElFinder, if I wanted "old school"? luciash: no, i mean only 1 option which would opt-out of these two preferences
i suppose it is two preferences because in future it can be applied not only to file gals Tiki-KGB: 03alain_desilets r47801 10trunk/lib/ 10(7 files in 5 dirs) * - Marked several broken tests as Skipped. arildb: luciash: I added option #2 just now locally based on comment from fabricius. I haven't committed yet. The commit state has only option 1 and sets the finder view the default gallery view, if elfinder is selected.
If I understand you right, you also prefer the commited state with only option 1, or? luciash: arildb: but what would make people select elfinder first ?
arildb: yes arildb: fabricius: What do you think? fabricius: arildb luciash and jonnyb: I think "my usecase" is not so untypical if we abstrahise it - in specific, I did install a Tiki to provide private downloads to people from different peergroups. On eample peergroup is official people involved in my family-law-case ... arildb: fabricius: Can you confirm that this is a problem when using Tiki 12? fabricius: yes
fresh installation (SVN)+ arildb: right
maybe setup a show instance? fabricius: arildb luciash and jonnyb: the person(s) I give access to a certain file gallery shoiuld not even see which other file galleries I have or IF I have other file galleries ... but if I use the elfinder I HAVE to give the permission tiki_p_list_gallery in global permissions luciash: ah, so elfinder is used elsewhere (plugin ?), then it makes sense to have it a separate option, ok arildb: If this can be solved, would it then be ok to leave it as it is, i.e. Finder view is the default, if ElFinder is selected? Tiki-KGB: 03alain_desilets r47802 03trunk/lib/test/wiki-plugins/TranslationOfTest.php
- Created new plugin TranslationOf, which will assist in the translation of links to pages. fabricius: arildb luciash and jonnyb: BUT instead I only want to give tiki_p_view for a certain filegallery, respectively for a category and categorise the file gallery arildb: fabricius: Do you, or do you plan to, use ElFinder in any of these installations? fabricius: yes!
I use elFinder there, but not for limited external users
let me explain the other way around:
I give one of theses professionals a login/group without general permissions arildb: This seems to be a bug like thing. Would be good to have a show case. fabricius: but with tiki_p_view_filegallery for a certain gallery
then for this group elFinder does not work - it stays empty with a non-access error message arildb: fabricius: I think I understand the case, but show will have a better memory and easier to communicate. This sounds like something that needs fixing.

an extension could be to make elFinder effectively usable without tiki_p_list_filegalleries and without global permissions at all
arildb luciash jonnyb: the category permissions do not have the option tiki_p_list_galleries ... maybe it would be that simple to add this permission to category permissions?
arildb luciash jonnyb: It would be fine, if elFinder lists all directories where the user has permission, but just should not list restricted galleries
idea? arildb: are you saying that tiki_p_list_galleries is only a global permission, and that it should be at object level, which will also enable category permissions? fabricius: jup
MAYBE that would fix the problem arildb: I am not sure which implications that would have... fabricius: either
I mean if I have tiki_p_list for a category, I should be able to list those categorised galleries
maybe worth to give it a try? arildb: you can try it. Do you know how to change it? fabricius: no, not being a coder
could you help me?
