Do not redirect if the page is being edited. arildb: Hm-m...I am trying to test the forward port of r51183 in trunk. However, the wysiwyg-html editor seems broken. Get errors like: "NetworkError: 404 Not Found - http://localhost/tiki/tikitrunk/vendor/jquery/jquery-ui/js/jquery-ui-1.10.4.js", but also othe jquery/js errors

[NEW]Backporting the addition of new wiki argument variables, in a single integrated commit made of:
[bp/r49602][NEW]New Wiki argument Variables, to help in scenarios of managing iso9001-powered documentation systems and such, where you need to expose some info like 'last version number', 'last author', and 'last modif' (for wiki pages and/or tracker items) to the wiki page with a special header to include this information. This way, wiki pages can be printed easily conforming th
tikiwikie iso9001 document specifications, etc. Ref: http://dev.tiki.org/item5112
[bp/r49719][ENH]Show RealName instead of login name in the corresponding wiki argument variables related to "Author" if the Real Name exists and the preference to display real names where possible is enabled. Thanks diggy, almost the same code you suggested as a patch. Ref: https://dev.tiki.org/wish5112 . Will be backported to 12.x after 12.1 is released. Thanks marclaporte & jyhe

p'om arildb: hi jonnyb jonnyb: hi arildb - you got your trunk all sorted out then?
things are busy there at the moment! arildb: got the forward port tested ok, by entering the plugin text manually. The toolbar button to add plugins is gone jonnyb: well done - yes, quite a few things are a bit "sore" in trunk :) fabricius: joined #tikiwiki Tiki-KGB: 03xavidp r51186 10branches/12.x/ 10(11 files in 8 dirs)

tikiwikiat topic at each moment on the discussion. Thanks Marti Olivella for the idea based on your deliberation software. It will be backported to 12.x after 12.1 is released aalex: joined #tikiwiki lphuberdeau: joined #tikiwiki Jyhem: plop
fabricius: you around ? arildb: Hi xavi, I just had a look at the new Upgrade Wizard xavi: aha :-)
and...
? arildb: The content is coded in wizard pages, as normal I assume. This can cause a problem, since every release of the system will require different content. xavi: yep arildb: Can create unwanted SVN "effects".
Maybe the content should be extracted, and kept separate (and perhaps easier to edit too) xavi: for trunk, and new page for new thinks just in tiki13 will come after this basic content is bacported to 12.x (that's my iea)
svn effects? arildb: but then to keep the versions separate, I guess unique file names will be required
SVN effect ... it will not be ok to merge Tiki 12 upgrades into Tiki 13, for instance xavi: yes, like upgrade_new_in_13.php arildb: maybe
the content is ony valid for a single release, I assume xavi: well, the basic idea was from lts to lts, except for this first version, in which it's optn to other things earlier or whatever if frequently needed in upgrades, etc. arildb: ok
How is the plan to maintain upgrade pages across releases? xavi: like basic pages from lts to lts ugprades, and extra pages the other releases
when tiki14 is out, i envision to offer the same lts to lts basic pages (like the current ones in trunk already), plus upgrade_new_in_13.php, and upgrade_new_in_14.php arildb: yes, maybe my concern is unfounded xavi: or something like that
and whenever the new lts version is to be out, the refactor the basic pages of the uprade wizard to include a merge or the new improvements since Tiki12 (the previous lts)
s/the refactor/then refactor arildb: I think the Upgrade Wizard is going be a great help for awarness of new Tiki features xavi: s/a merge or/a merge of
yep, I agree, that's the point :-) arildb: Personally, I would prefer a bit more explanatory text (though the wizard has a minimalist approach to this) xavi: he he... I know, the issue of more text vs less text (there are people liking the extremes)
My approach to try to get a balance, is to improve the texts shown on hovering the help icon
right now many of those texts are minimal, and require more info for end users, etc. arildb: yes, that works, too ...just a little more work xavi: well, that way, the extra effort improving help texts is reused in the admin panels also for the corresponding features arildb: The first version of the Upgrade wizard aim to be for Tiki12, or? ...content wise xavi: yes, but first it had to be commited to trunk, and that's why arildb: yes xavi: my idea is that, after backporting the basic version, then get a new page or pages for the specific new features in Tiki13 arildb: would be nice with some screencast "tutorial/demo" for major new features.
yes, that will have to be the steps xavi: he he , yes, this is open for contribution from others... it's not intended to be a one-man project :-)
so feel free to add some screencast on the features you are the most motivated with, etc. :-)
and motivate others to jump in the fun :-) arildb: ... I shouldn't have mentioned this .. xavi: :-D
at least the preference checkboxes and extra info on popup boses will be easier to maintain
s/boses/boxes
and when users click on the help icon of one of these features at the upgrade wizard, they are sent to the corresponding documenation page, where some screencasts can reside if people add them, like it's happening nowadays with a few doc pages arildb: The last page says: Or click at the button Finish to end the admin wizard and go back to the where you were. .... but the button text is "Next" xavi: ohh, my bad, a bug then :-) arildb: Same for the admin wizard
and profiles wizard
the profiles wizard has turned out really good xavi: thanks :-)
btw, the nice thing from trunk (regarding wizards) is that the side columns are not shown at all
in 12.x, they are shown, and after a few seconds they are hidden
bbl arildb: For upgrade wizard jQUery plugin "Reflection", the help text refers to the admin icons above, i.e. it assumes to be used in the admin panel context xavi: back
he he, good catch, I saw that yesterday
It can be easily fixed by rewriting the help infos, etc. (in my todo, if no one else does before me)
