hi
i got some issues with spreadsheet
is it maybe not testes very well in firefox?
it won't let me edit different fields easily fabricius: what you mean with "edit easily"? LordVan: fabricius, well in google chrome i use my arrow keys to navigate the spreadsheet ceels
cells
in firefox it marks tehm
them
version 12.2 btw
maybe i should just use wiki syntax tables after all haha
-- it is just some very simple table
at least for the one i need to edit more often
it is a list of who has time when
there is this nice example in the demo page .. -: LordVan goes and checks that out LordVan: hm tiki doodle
hm weird convene "bug" fabricius: LordVan: did you ever check the {FANCYTABLE}?
http://doc.tiki.org/PluginFancytable
maybe better for just a few notes and nicer than the raw tables LordVan: fabricius, yeah but what i liked about the spreadsheet is that i could import my csv with people's contact data :D fabricius: I actually find them curiously easier to eit than the raw wikisyntax tables, although pretty much the same syntax
ahh import is a word LordVan: fabricius, although i just replaced my who-is-there-when table with a CONVENE ;)
that is ncie to have fabricius: if you need deeper advice, for example why in the sheets navigation is different in Firefox and Chrome and if and what you could do about, you might ask Robert Plummer, a codeveloper of jQuerySheet
convene is GREAT, yes
from Robert Plummer aswell LordVan: btw
i can'T find where to change my preferred wiki (menus,..) language
hmm this is odd i have mod_rewrite enabled in apache and .htaccess works too but i don'T get the clean urls -: LordVan reads the instructions again LordVan: i have to say spreadsheets is a bit of a pain with default template (not really enough space for it by default ;)) -- i know there is a fullscreen mode :D
ah there is a fixed width setting ok that explains it -: LordVan goes and looks if a gallery can be embedded in a wiki page fabricius: LordVan: http://doc.tiki.org/PluginList?structure=HomePage+Plugins LordVan: btw
fabricius, since you mentioned fancytable .. is there some csv import for either normal wiki tables or fancy tables? -- i know i can write a script quickly to do csv -> wiki table syntax but i was wondering if there was something like this already fabricius: never heard ... maybe a nice wikiplugin idea or so? LordVan: i think it would be actually -- and a very simple one to implement as well ^^ i mean take csv, replace ',' with '|' remove quotes maybe and that's it (ok check for | in the text i suppose) fabricius: wikiplugin = php-file in the background
did you ever code a wiki plugin? LordVan: yeah but i haven'T done php in ages
and never written a wiki plugin ^^ fabricius: have heard, it should not be so difficult
although I am not a coder LordVan: maybe but i'd rather let someone do it who can do it in like 10 minutes than me spending hours learning how to do this D:
and if not well then not
i can always write myself a short python script haha Tiki|bot: New Forum Posts: Does Smarty check this? - http://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=26&comments_parentId=53097 jonnyb: joined #tikiwiki LordVan: hmm wasn't there a setting that an admin has to approve of a user creation?
ah it is unser login .. found it now ;) ricks99: joined #tikiwiki dabright: joined #tikiwiki LordVan: I have to say getting a tikiwiki up and running is really fast due to everything being in one package ricks99: polom y'all :) LordVan: Hmm
Is it possible to have a dropdown list / user search for adding calendar participants? ricks99: LordVan: I *think* there's a "participants" option for the calendar. not 100% sure, tho LordVan: yes but it wants me to enter text
not select form users ^^ ricks99: ah. you only want to select from a subset of users? LordVan: well not exactly
i do want to add names to it of people who might not have users too but it'd be nice if it somehow let me pick from the registered users too
or at least display in some way ^^
ah whatever it's not important
^^ ricks99: dont think you can mix freeform + user list. but, if you use tracker for calendar, you can include 2 selection options (for user & non-user) LordVan: nah never mind not worth setting that up ;) ricks99: k. there might be a profile (iirc) for using tracker as calendar. LordVan: ok
maybe i'll look but i don't really need it anyway just was playing with it ^^
thanks anyway ^^ nelsonko: joined #tikiwiki Tiki-KGB: 03nkoth r52371 10trunk/ 03vendor_extra/vimeo/froogaloop.min.js 03vendor_extra/vimeo 10lib/wiki-plugins/wikiplugin_vimeo.php 03vendor_extra/vimeo/vimeo.js
