wolfganga: Hi i need some help: When using https to access tiki, the initial page shown for the admin - tiki-setup, when you click the close button it uses http instead of https. I think this is a template thing. Can anyone guide me?
Jyhem: wolfganga: there are plenty of relevant options in tiki-admin.php?page=login
you need to somehow inform Tiki that https is supported
wolfganga: well - everything works fine for https
its only the button "close" on the admin setup page. even start wizard etc. works fine with https
Jyhem: do you have "Users can choose to stay in SSL mode after an HTTPS login"
?
wolfganga: i thought i could fix it easyl but it turns out to be more complicated. anyway ist not soooo important ;-)
let me check
i see there are really a lot of options. I just wonder why everything seem to work fine with the current settings - but not that simple close button that does at the end a redirect i suppose ;-)
Jyhem: well, maybe it IS a bug with something hard-coded in this particular template...
I can't look it up now.

Anyone using watches (notification of page changes via email)? I get the entire email (including the email header) as the mailbody
I guess theer is something wrong in the email template
Telesight: joined #tikiwiki
jonnyb: hi wolfganga - no, not seen that before, have you customised the mail template?
wolfganga: No i havent - plain out of the box (trunk 14). Btw. I just tried it using another external mailserver in between - that works. Where can i find the template?
jonnyb: so it sounds like a server problem, not a tiki one, wolfganga ?
the templates are in templates/mail i think (but only have the body of the mail in them anyway

wolfganga: Could be- but since NO OTHER Email in the last 3 Years shows this behavoiur it might be tiki related ^^
Anyway - workaround is actually to use another mailserver. maybe some utf-8 thing - will look at it again if i have some time left

How do I make it possible for a trakcer item creator to edit his/her tracker?
jonnyb: hi Julie_ - there's a setting in the tracker properties called something like "owner can edit"
and you add a "User" type field to the tracker set to automatically be the item's creator
Julie_: I did that. However, when displaying the trackers in a listing on the submission page, I can't seem to make an option appear that allows them to edit it.
jonnyb: there's probably a profile...
Julie_: They can delete it.
But that's all.
Thank you for your help in advance, by the way.
jonnyb: hmm, doesn't sound right - what are the permissions on the tracker?
Julie_: Item creator can modify his items and Item creator can remove his items.
jonnyb: sounds like the one - and the field option..?
Julie_: It's checked.
It seems like the permissions are all good, but I just can't figure out how to make the user interface on the submission page itself reflect an edit option.
jonnyb: should be "Auto-assign = creator"
Julie_: Yep! I have that checked too.
jonnyb: how are you displaying the items?
Julie_: {TRACKERLIST(trackerId="7" fields="31:34" showtitle="n" showdesc="n" showinitials="n" showstatus="y" showdelete="y" )}{TRACKERLIST}
I tried using showedit="y", but that didn't seem to work.
It displays the Delete option under the "Action" column, so I assume it would show the Edit option there, too.
jonnyb: hmm, how does it look in the "normal" tracker admin pages?
e.g. tiki-view_tracker.php?trackerId=7
Julie_: Perfectly fine. Under the "Action" column, it has the "View/Edit" option, the "Delete" option, and the "History" option.
jonnyb: sounds like a trackerlist bug then - which version are you on?
Julie_: Good question. I'm a new admin to this. How would I find that out?
jonnyb: go to tiki-admin.php
actually probably need admin/general i.e. tiki-admin.php?page=general
Julie_: Huh. Looks like I don't have actual admin permissions. Awesome. I'm going to go find out. Thank you for your patience.
