I erased all the //, except the comments on the top, I uploaded the file, translated and downloaded without any problem. I am sending you the file I used, as attached."
so it seems like they dont like that in Tiki there are no closing ">" at the end of the php file leagris: joined #tikiwiki chibaguy: Interesting. IIRC, there was a reason to not have the closing bracket, such as a new best practice or something. Maybe somebody can enlighten on this.
"For files that contain only PHP code, the closing tag ("?>") is never permitted. It is not required by PHP, and omitting itī prevents the accidental injection of trailing white space into the response. " From http://framework.zend.com/manual/1.10/en/coding-standard.php-file-formatting.html
So it seems maybe Tiki's files are correctly formatted and the Transifex software has the bug. ;-)
Not to say that's the solution here. :-)
As an expedient, maybe the closing tag should be added, but I'd defer to Tiki's PHP experts on that.
Hmm, the Zend manual also says "Indentation should consist of 4 spaces. Tabs are not allowed."
I wonder if PhpStorm is actually moving 4 spaces when I hit tab. Jyhem: polom
we don't follow the "Indentation should consist of 4 spaces. Tabs are not allowed." thing, quite the opposite
chibaguy: we put tabs and anyone is free to configure their favorite ditor to make them show 2,4 or 8 spaces as fits their screen and habit chibaguy: Thanks Jyhem. That makes sense. I found a "bug" in your navbar show/hide thingi => metanavigation (very top navbars) on *tiki.org are not usable when browser shrinked to mobile mode. Please check. I have to go soon, but might have time toexplain what I mean in the evening, if you do not find what I mean. I guess your code should be limited to work on wide screen mediaqueries (not work in mobile mode).
luciash: I mean "switch off" for mobile mode, when the navbar collapses msaad: joined #tikiwiki pedro_morgan: joined #tikiwiki Tiki|bot: New Forum Posts: Trackers on Mobile - http://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=56713 msaad: chibaguy: Hi :). I'm playing with the tables now, and I saw that applying responsive to them makes no sense, mainly because they aren't inside a row/grid structure, and even if I create the external divs with row/col-*-*, they won't follow because of the external containers.
Some css rules preventing bootstrap to work :/ chibaguy: Hi msaad. Are these tables being used to lay out forms? msaad: So far, mostly of them are! chibaguy: Well, we want to move away from using tables for layout, as it's not appropriate use of tables, for one thing. msaad: In an utopic world, tables would be gone :)
Should I get rid of them as I go? =] chibaguy: But they should be responsive, generally speaking. Normally I can narrow the browser down to 300px or so and even pages with forms are responsive.
Yes, get rid of them by replacing with divs. msaad: Ok, I'll get one done, and show you. chibaguy: Like the example page I sent the link for earlier.
Ok. msaad: chibaguy: How would I find prefs.feature_intertiki_mymaster to enable it?
there is some html depending on it, I want to play with that pref so I can see how the html is being generated. chibaguy: That looks like it's part of the Intertiki feature, which is a way to have one Tiki as a master domain for user registration purposes, which slave domains can communicate with for user logins.
There's a page to activate the feature. msaad: Yes, I'm under tiki-admin.php?page=intertiki chibaguy: ah, ok. msaad: I got a way around it :D chibaguy: Other than that, I don't really know the details. msaad: nevermind =) chibaguy: ok msaad: I was stupid, I just deleted the conditional temporarily. chibaguy: that's smart, I'd say. ;-) msaad: we should add !important to text-center, text-left, text-right on bootstrap..
this way we can easily override some of its default behavior
.control-label adds text-align:right to all the labels. If we had .text-left like text-align:left !important, it could easily be overwritten :)
(not that I like !important.. but sometimes you know..)
chibaguy: do you want me to commit the file or send you the diff first? :)
http://pastebin.com/sG4n9BpN chibaguy: I think as a project we're pretty opposed to using !important. One thing to try is adding .tiki to the beginning of the selector, to override something. Every Tiki page has that class on the body. msaad: I get that, it's understandable. But when it comes to class modifiers, there isn't much damage to be done. chibaguy: The changes look good to me, just glancing down the file. I'd say go ahead and commit it.
Yeah, that's true, not much damage to be done, but sometimes people don't like it just as a matter of principle.] arildb: joined #tikiwiki msaad: Awesome, will do :) chibaguy: thanks pedro_morgan: joined #tikiwiki msaad: left #tikiwiki

Hi Guys
Need Help here
I am trying to install Wiki CMS on a shared environment
But the server running with php 5.4 and the latest version needed 5.5
I tried using PHP version manager to change php version on that particular folder
still the site showing php 5.5 needed
Any suggestions? msaad: what hosting are you using Geo? -: msaad *sight* pedro_morgan: is there a REST api for tiki wiki ? msaad: pedro_morgan: I'm unaware of the existence of such. pedro_morgan: would be handy.. am migrating from 2.5 to latest.. and besically after a few hours.. and no hair left...
maybe best way it to take olde and inject into new... -: pedro_morgan am knocking up go script to serialise to json and import again.. msaad: pedro_morgan: I'm new at contributing to tiki, but experienced with migrations..
if you have the chance to start with a blank slate
and just migrate our data..
I would do that.
2.5 to latest is a big jump. Even if you go halfway, I'm sure lots of things will break and you'll go nuts.
s/our/your -: msaad loves how bootstrap makes things beautiful with a couple classes. pedro_morgan: msaad: http://anahata-retreat.org.nz/wiki/tiki-view_homepage.php and http://www.padma.org.uk/tiki/tiki-index.php
anyway.. think that wiki is cool at teh time a few "years ago".. so my plan is to export into markdown etc... msaad: pedro_morgan: That's definitely not an option for you. You have lots of content already :/ pedro_morgan: yep.. a few 700k files for "blobs of image in article".. = 1 gig of data...!! sigh msaad: Have fun hehehe. Hope you make it. I'll be around if I can be of any help. pedro_morgan: biggest help would be moving to git ...and a git hub/lab project for merge.. and shit flying fast... msaad: It's in our roadmap to move to git. It will happen :)
We've already started discussing this.
