nelsonko	amette, so sync2git is a script that is right now on ovh, at /usr/local/bin/sync2git it's this https://github.com/dpocock/sync2git but I have a feeling we don't have the latest	[14:42]
amette	It just needs cron there to run, right? And then it connects to sf.net and github.com. Should I try to upgrade and move to one of the amse-servers?	[14:43]
nelsonko	it needs configurations in /etc/sync2git there are 2 configs there right now, check them out, pretty simple then when it runs, it checks if there is already a git version locally of the svn repo it stores those in /var/lib/sync2git to avoid having to recreate them (takes a long time), you should copy those too when migrating	[14:44]

nelsonko	if it's there, it simply updates them from SVN if there are any new commits	[14:47]
amette	I think amse4 might be a good fit for this as there's nothing too resource-critical.	[14:47]
nelsonko	The problem with the authors.txt file is.... it was generated using a variant of https://github.com/dpocock/sync2git/blob/master/svn-authors-extract I have put in under /usr/local/bin/svn-authors-extract the basic version simply generates a file and does not replace it if it already exists	[14:47]
