but I have a feeling we don't have the latest amette: It just needs cron there to run, right? And then it connects to sf.net and github.com.

there are 2 configs there right now, check them out, pretty simple
then when it runs, it checks if there is already a git version locally of the svn repo
it stores those in /var/lib/sync2git
